88:1هَلۡHalHasأَتَىٰكَʹataaka(there) come to youحَدِيثُḥadees̤ul(the) newsٱلۡغَٰشِيَةِG̣aashiyah?(of) the Overwhelming١
88:5تُسۡقَىٰTusq̣aaThey will be given to drinkمِنۡminfromعَيۡنٍʻaynina springءَانِيَةٖʹaaniyah,boiling٥
88:6لَّيۡسَLaysaNot isلَهُمۡlahumfor themطَعَامٌṭaʻaamunfoodإِلَّاʹillaaexceptمِنmiñfromضَرِيعٖḌareeʻa bitter thorny plant٦
88:7لَّاLaa-Notيُسۡمِنُyusminuit nourishesوَلَاwa-laaand notيُغۡنِيyug̣neeit availsمِنmiñfromجُوعٖjooʻ.hunger٧
88:17أَفَلَاʹAfalaaThen do notيَنظُرُونَyañz̤̣uroonathey lookإِلَىʹilaltowardsٱلۡإِبِلِʹibilithe camelsكَيۡفَkayfahowخُلِقَتۡkhuliq̣at?―they are created١٧
88:18وَإِلَىWa-ʹilasAnd towardsٱلسَّمَآءِSamaaaʹithe skyكَيۡفَkayfahowرُفِعَتۡrufiʻat?―it is raised١٨
88:19وَإِلَىWa-ʹilalAnd towardsٱلۡجِبَالِJibaalithe mountainsكَيۡفَkayfahowنُصِبَتۡnuṣibat?they are fixed١٩
88:20وَإِلَىWa-ʹilalAnd towardsٱلۡأَرۡضِʹArḍithe earthكَيۡفَkayfahowسُطِحَتۡsuṭiḥat?it is spread out٢٠
88:21فَذَكِّرۡFaẓakkir,So remindإِنَّمَآʹinnamaaaonlyأَنتَʹañtayouمُذَكِّرٞmuẓakkir.(are) a reminder٢١
88:24فَيُعَذِّبُهُFayuʻaẓẓibuhulThen will punish himٱللَّهُlaahulAllahٱلۡعَذَابَʻAẓaabal(with) the punishmentٱلۡأَكۡبَرَʹakbar.greatest٢٤
88:26ثُمَّS̤ummaThenإِنَّʹinnaindeedعَلَيۡنَاʻalaynaaupon Usحِسَابَهُمḥisaabahum.(is) their account٢٦
