66:1
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
Yaaaʹayyuhan
O
ٱلنَّبِيُّ
Nabiyyu
Prophet
لِمَ
lima
Why (do)
تُحَرِّمُ
tuḥarrimu
you prohibit
مَآ
maaa
what
أَحَلَّ
ʹaḥallal
has made lawful
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
لَكَۖ
lak?
for you
تَبۡتَغِي
Tabtag̣i
seeking
مَرۡضَاتَ
marḍaata
(to) please
أَزۡوَٰجِكَۚ
ʹazwaajik.
your wives
وَٱللَّهُ
wallaahu
And Allah
غَفُورٞ
G̣afoorur
(is) Oft-Forgiving
رَّحِيمٞ
Raḥeem.
Most Merciful
١
66:2
قَدۡ
Q̣ad
Indeed
فَرَضَ
faraḍal
has ordained
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
لَكُمۡ
lakum
for you
تَحِلَّةَ
taḥillata
(the) dissolution
أَيۡمَٰنِكُمۡۚ
ʹaymaanikum:
(of) your oaths
وَٱللَّهُ
wallaahu
And Allah
مَوۡلَىٰكُمۡۖ
Mawlaakum,
(is) your Protector
وَهُوَ
wa-Huwal
and He
ٱلۡعَلِيمُ
ʻAleemul
(is) the All-Knower
ٱلۡحَكِيمُ
Ḥakeem.
the All-Wise
٢
66:3
وَإِذۡ
Wa-ʹiẓ
And when
أَسَرَّ
ʹasarran
confided
ٱلنَّبِيُّ
Nabiyyu
the Prophet
إِلَىٰ
ʹilaa
to
بَعۡضِ
baʻḍi
one
أَزۡوَٰجِهِۦ
ʹazwaajihee
(of) his wives
حَدِيثٗا
ḥadees̤aa,
a statement
فَلَمَّا
falammaa
and when
نَبَّأَتۡ
nabbaʹat
she informed
بِهِۦ
bihee
about it
وَأَظۡهَرَهُ
wa-ʹaz̤̣harahul
and made it apparent
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
عَلَيۡهِ
ʻalayhi
to him
عَرَّفَ
ʻarrafa
he made known
بَعۡضَهُۥ
baʻḍahoo
a part of it
وَأَعۡرَضَ
wa-ʹaʻraḍa
and avoided
عَنۢ
ʻam
[of]
بَعۡضٖۖ
baʻḍ.
a part
فَلَمَّا
Falammaa
Then when
نَبَّأَهَا
nabbaʹahaa
he informed her
بِهِۦ
bihee
about it
قَالَتۡ
q̣aalat
she said
مَنۡ
man
Who
أَنۢبَأَكَ
ʹambaʹaka
informed you
هَٰذَاۖ
haaẓaa?
this
قَالَ
Q̣aala
He said
نَبَّأَنِيَ
nabbaʹaniyal
Has informed me
ٱلۡعَلِيمُ
ʻAleemul
the All-Knower
ٱلۡخَبِيرُ
Khabeer.
the All-Aware
٣
66:4
إِن
ʹIñ
If
تَتُوبَآ
tatoobaaa
you both turn
إِلَى
ʹilal
to
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
فَقَدۡ
faq̣ad
so indeed
صَغَتۡ
ṣag̣at
(are) inclined
قُلُوبُكُمَاۖ
q̣uloobukumaa;
your hearts
وَإِن
wa-ʹiñ
but if
تَظَٰهَرَا
taz̤̣aaharaa
you backup each other
عَلَيۡهِ
ʻalayhi
against him
فَإِنَّ
faʹinnal
then indeed
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
هُوَ
Huwa
He
مَوۡلَىٰهُ
Mawlaahu
(is) his Protector
وَجِبۡرِيلُ
wa-Jibreelu
and Jibreel
وَصَٰلِحُ
wa-Ṣaaliḥul
and (the) righteous
ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَۖ
Muʹmineen,
believers
وَٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ
wal-malaaaʹikatu
and the Angels
بَعۡدَ
baʻda
after
ذَٰلِكَ
ẓaalika
that
ظَهِيرٌ
z̤̣aheer.
(are his) assistants
٤
66:5
عَسَىٰ
ʻAsaa
Perhaps
رَبُّهُۥٓ
Rabbuhooo
his Lord
إِن
ʹiñ
if
طَلَّقَكُنَّ
ṭallaq̣akunna
he divorced you
أَن
ʹañy
[that]
يُبۡدِلَهُۥٓ
yubdilahooo
He will substitute for him
أَزۡوَٰجًا
ʹazwaajan
wives
خَيۡرٗا
khayram
better
مِّنكُنَّ
miñkunna
than you
مُسۡلِمَٰتٖ
Muslimaatim
submissive
مُّؤۡمِنَٰتٖ
Muʹminaatiñ
faithful
قَٰنِتَٰتٖ
q̣aanitaatiñ
obedient
تَٰٓئِبَٰتٍ
taaaʹibaatin
repentant
عَٰبِدَٰتٖ
ʻaabidaatiñ
who worship
سَٰٓئِحَٰتٖ
saaaʹiḥaatiñ
who fast
ثَيِّبَٰتٖ
s̤ayyibaatiñw
previously married
وَأَبۡكَارٗا
waʹabkaaraa.
and virgins
٥
66:6
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
Yaaaʹayyuhal
O
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
(you) who
ءَامَنُواْ
ʹaamanoo
believe
قُوٓاْ
q̣ooo
Protect
أَنفُسَكُمۡ
ʹañfusakum
yourselves
وَأَهۡلِيكُمۡ
wa-ʹahleekum
and your families
نَارٗا
Naarañw
(from) a Fire
وَقُودُهَا
Waq̣ooduhan
whose fuel
ٱلنَّاسُ
Naasu
(is) people
وَٱلۡحِجَارَةُ
wal-Ḥijaaratu
and stones
عَلَيۡهَا
ʻalayhaa
over it
مَلَٰٓئِكَةٌ
malaaʹikatun
(are) Angels
غِلَاظٞ
g̣ilaaz̤̣uñ
stern
شِدَادٞ
shidaadul
severe
لَّا
laa
not
يَعۡصُونَ
yaʻṣoonal
they disobey
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
مَآ
maaa
(in) what
أَمَرَهُمۡ
ʹamarahum
He Commands them
وَيَفۡعَلُونَ
Wayafʻaloona
but they do
مَا
maa-
what
يُؤۡمَرُونَ
yuʹmaroon.
they are commanded
٦
66:7
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
Yaaaʹayyuhal
O
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
(you) who
كَفَرُواْ
kafaroo
disbelieve
لَا
laa-
(Do) not
تَعۡتَذِرُواْ
taʻtaẓirul
make excuses
ٱلۡيَوۡمَۖ
Yawm!
today
إِنَّمَا
ʹInnamaa
Only
تُجۡزَوۡنَ
tujzawna
you will be recompensed
مَا
maa-
(for) what
كُنتُمۡ
kuñtum
you used to
تَعۡمَلُونَ
taʻmaloon!

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
Yaaaʹayyuhal
O
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
(you) who believe
ءَامَنُواْ
ʹaamanoo
believe
تُوبُوٓاْ
toobooo
Turn
إِلَى
ʹilal
to
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
تَوۡبَةٗ
Tawbatan
(in) repentance
نَّصُوحًا
Naṣooḥaa:
sincere
عَسَىٰ
ʻasaa
Perhaps
رَبُّكُمۡ
Rabbukum
your Lord
أَن
ʹañy
will
يُكَفِّرَ
yukaffira
remove
عَنكُمۡ
ʻañkum
from you
سَيِّـَٔاتِكُمۡ
sayyiʹaatikum
your evil deeds
وَيُدۡخِلَكُمۡ
wa-yudkhilakum
and admit you
جَنَّٰتٖ
Jannatiñ
(into) Gardens
تَجۡرِي
tajree
flow
مِن
miñ
from
تَحۡتِهَا
taḥtihal
underneath it
ٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُ
ʹanhaaru
the rivers
يَوۡمَ
Yawma
(on the) Day
لَا
laa-
not
يُخۡزِي
yukhzil
will be disgraced
ٱللَّهُ
laahun
(by) Allah
ٱلنَّبِيَّ
Nabiyya
the Prophet
وَٱلَّذِينَ
wallaẓeena
and those who
ءَامَنُواْ
ʹaamanoo
believed
مَعَهُۥۖ
maʻah.
with him
نُورُهُمۡ
Nooruhum
Their light
يَسۡعَىٰ
yasʻaa
will run
بَيۡنَ
bayna
before
أَيۡدِيهِمۡ
ʹaydeehim
their hands
وَبِأَيۡمَٰنِهِمۡ
wa-biʹaymaanihim
and on their right
يَقُولُونَ
yaq̣ooloona
they will say
رَبَّنَآ
˹Rabbanaaa
Our Lord
أَتۡمِمۡ
ʹatmim
Perfect
لَنَا
lanaa
for us
نُورَنَا
Nooranaa
our light
وَٱغۡفِرۡ
wag̣fir
and grant forgiveness
لَنَآۖ
lanaa:
to us
إِنَّكَ
ʹinnaka
Indeed You
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
(are) over
كُلِّ
kulli
every
شَيۡءٖ
shayʹiñ
thing
قَدِيرٞ
Q̣adeer.˺
All-Powerful
٨
66:9
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
Yaaaʹayyuhan
O
ٱلنَّبِيُّ
Nabiyyu
Prophet
جَٰهِدِ
jaahidil
Strive
ٱلۡكُفَّارَ
kuffaara
(against) the disbelievers
وَٱلۡمُنَٰفِقِينَ
wal-Munaafiq̣eena
and the hypocrites
وَٱغۡلُظۡ
wag̣luz̤̣
and be stern
عَلَيۡهِمۡۚ
ʻalayhim.
with them
وَمَأۡوَىٰهُمۡ
Wa-maʹwaahum
And their abode
جَهَنَّمُۖ
Jahannam,―
(is) Hell
وَبِئۡسَ
Wabiʹsal
and wretched is
ٱلۡمَصِيرُ
maṣeer.
the destination
٩
66:10
ضَرَبَ
Ḍarabal
Presents
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
مَثَلٗا
mas̤alal
an example
لِّلَّذِينَ
lillaẓeena
for those who
كَفَرُواْ
kafarum
disbelieved
ٱمۡرَأَتَ
raʹata
(the) wife
نُوحٖ
Nooḥiñw
(of) Nuh
وَٱمۡرَأَتَ
wamraʹata
(and the) wife
لُوطٖۖ
Looṭ.
(of) Lut
كَانَتَا
Kaanataa
They were
تَحۡتَ
taḥta
under
عَبۡدَيۡنِ
ʻAbdayni
two [slaves]
مِنۡ
min
of
عِبَادِنَا
ʻibaadinaa
Our slaves
صَٰلِحَيۡنِ
ṣaaliḥayni
righteous
فَخَانَتَاهُمَا
fakhaanataahumaa
but they both betrayed them
فَلَمۡ
falam
so not
يُغۡنِيَا
yug̣niyaa
they availed
عَنۡهُمَا
ʻanhumaa
both of them
مِنَ
minal
from
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
شَيۡـٔٗا
shayʹañw
(in) anything
وَقِيلَ
waq̣eelad
and it was said
ٱدۡخُلَا
khulan
Enter
ٱلنَّارَ
Naara
the Fire
مَعَ
maʻad
with
ٱلدَّٰخِلِينَ
daakhileen!
those who enter
١٠
66:11
وَضَرَبَ
Wa-ḍarabal
And presents
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
مَثَلٗا
mas̤alal
an example
لِّلَّذِينَ
lil-laẓeena
for those who
ءَامَنُواْ
ʹaamanum
believed
ٱمۡرَأَتَ
raʹata
(the) wife
فِرۡعَوۡنَ
Firʻawn.
(of) Firaun
إِذۡ
ʹIẓ
when
قَالَتۡ
q̣aalat
she said
رَبِّ
Rab-bib
My Lord
ٱبۡنِ
ni
Build
لِي
lee
for me
عِندَكَ
ʻiñdaka
near You
بَيۡتٗا
baytañ
a house
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡجَنَّةِ
Jannati
Paradise
وَنَجِّنِي
wa-najjinee
and save me
مِن
miñ
from
فِرۡعَوۡنَ
Firʻawna
Firaun
وَعَمَلِهِۦ
wa-ʻamalihee
and his deeds
وَنَجِّنِي
wa-najjinee
and save me
مِنَ
minal
from
ٱلۡقَوۡمِ
q̣awmiz̤̣
the people
ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
z̤̣aalimeen;
the wrongdoers
١١
66:12
وَمَرۡيَمَ
Wa-Maryamab
And Maryam
ٱبۡنَتَ
nata
(the) daughter
عِمۡرَٰنَ
ʻImraanal
(of) Imran
ٱلَّتِيٓ
lateee
who
أَحۡصَنَتۡ
ʹaḥṣanat
guarded
فَرۡجَهَا
farjahaa
her chastity
فَنَفَخۡنَا
fanafakhnaa
so We breathed
فِيهِ
feehi
into it
مِن
mir
of
رُّوحِنَا
rooḥinaa
Our Spirit
وَصَدَّقَتۡ
wa-ṣaddaq̣at
And she believed
بِكَلِمَٰتِ
bi-Kalimaati
(in the) Words
رَبِّهَا
Rabbihaa
(of) her Lord
وَكُتُبِهِۦ
wa-Kutubihee
and His Books
وَكَانَتۡ
wa-kaanat
and she was
مِنَ
minal
of
ٱلۡقَٰنِتِينَ
Q̣aaniteen.
the devoutly obedient
