60:1
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
Yaaa-ʹayyuhal
O you
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
who
ءَامَنُواْ
ʹaamanoo
believe
لَا
laa-
(Do) not
تَتَّخِذُواْ
tattakhiẓoo
take
عَدُوِّي
ʻaduwwee
My enemies
وَعَدُوَّكُمۡ
wa-ʻaduwwakum
and your enemies
أَوۡلِيَآءَ
ʹawliyaaaʹa
(as) allies
تُلۡقُونَ
tulq̣oona
offering
إِلَيۡهِم
ʹilayhim̃
them
بِٱلۡمَوَدَّةِ
bilmawaddati
love
وَقَدۡ
wa-q̣ad
while
كَفَرُواْ
kafaroo
they have disbelieved
بِمَا
bimaa
in what
جَآءَكُم
jaaaʹakum
came to you
مِّنَ
minal
of
ٱلۡحَقِّ
Ḥaq̣q̣i,
the truth
يُخۡرِجُونَ
yukhrijoonar
driving out
ٱلرَّسُولَ
Rasoola
the Messenger
وَإِيَّاكُمۡ
wa-ʹiyyaakum
and yourselves
أَن
ʹañ
because
تُؤۡمِنُواْ
tuʹminoo
you believe
بِٱللَّهِ
billaahi
in Allah
رَبِّكُمۡ
Rabbikum!
your Lord
إِن
ʹIñ
If
كُنتُمۡ
kuñtum
you
خَرَجۡتُمۡ
kharajtum
come forth
جِهَٰدٗا
jihaadañ
(to) strive
فِي
fee
in
سَبِيلِي
Sabeelee
My way
وَٱبۡتِغَآءَ
wabtig̣aaaʹa
and (to) seek
مَرۡضَاتِيۚ
Marḍaatee
My Pleasure
تُسِرُّونَ
tusirroona
You confide
إِلَيۡهِم
ʹilayhim
to them
بِٱلۡمَوَدَّةِ
bilmawaddati
love
وَأَنَا۠
wa-ʹana
but I Am
أَعۡلَمُ
ʹaʻlamu
most knowing
بِمَآ
bimaaa
of what
أَخۡفَيۡتُمۡ
ʹakhfaytum
you conceal
وَمَآ
wa-maaa
and what
أَعۡلَنتُمۡۚ
ʹaʻlañtum.
you declare
وَمَن
Wa-mañy
And whoever
يَفۡعَلۡهُ
yafʻalhu
does it
مِنكُمۡ
miñkum
among you
فَقَدۡ
faq̣ad
then certainly
ضَلَّ
ḍalla
he has strayed
سَوَآءَ
Sawaaaʹas
(from the) straight
ٱلسَّبِيلِ
Sabeel.
path

60:2
إِن
ʹIñy
If
يَثۡقَفُوكُمۡ
yas̤q̣afookum
they gain dominance over you
يَكُونُواْ
yakoonoo
they would be
لَكُمۡ
lakum
to you
أَعۡدَآءٗ
ʹaʻdaaaʹañw
enemies
وَيَبۡسُطُوٓاْ
Wayabsuṭooo
and extend
إِلَيۡكُمۡ
ʹilaykum
against you
أَيۡدِيَهُمۡ
ʹaydiyahum
their hands
وَأَلۡسِنَتَهُم
wa-ʹalsinatahum̃
and their tongues
بِٱلسُّوٓءِ
bissoooʹi
with evil
وَوَدُّواْ
wa-waddoo
and they desire
لَوۡ
law
that
تَكۡفُرُونَ
takfuroon.
you would disbelieve
٢
60:3
لَن
Lañ
Never
تَنفَعَكُمۡ
tañfaʻakum
will benefit you
أَرۡحَامُكُمۡ
ʹarḥaamukum
your relatives
وَلَآ
wa-laaa
and not
أَوۡلَٰدُكُمۡۚ
ʹawlaadukum
your children
يَوۡمَ
Yawmal
(on the) Day
ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ
Q̣iyaamah:
(of) the Resurrection
يَفۡصِلُ
yafṣilu
He will judge
بَيۡنَكُمۡۚ
baynakum:
between you
وَٱللَّهُ
wallaahu
And Allah
بِمَا
bimaa
of what
تَعۡمَلُونَ
taʻmaloona
you do
بَصِيرٞ
Baṣeer.
(is) All-Seer
٣
60:4
قَدۡ
Q̣ad
Indeed
كَانَتۡ
kaanat
(there) is
لَكُمۡ
lakum
for you
أُسۡوَةٌ
ʹuswatun
an example
حَسَنَةٞ
ḥasanatuñ
good
فِيٓ
feee
in
إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ
ʹIbraaheema
Ibrahim
وَٱلَّذِينَ
wallaẓeena
and those
مَعَهُۥٓ
maʻahooo
with him
إِذۡ
ʹiẓ
when
قَالُواْ
q̣aaloo
they said
لِقَوۡمِهِمۡ
liq̣awmihim
to their people
إِنَّا
ʹinnaa
Indeed we
بُرَءَٰٓؤُاْ
buraʹaaaʹu
(are) disassociated
مِنكُمۡ
miñkum
from you
وَمِمَّا
wa-mimmaa
and from what
تَعۡبُدُونَ
taʻbudoona
you worship
مِن
miñ
from
دُونِ
doonil
besides
ٱللَّهِ
laah:
Allah
كَفَرۡنَا
kafarnaa
We have denied
بِكُمۡ
bikum
you
وَبَدَا
wa-badaa
and has appeared
بَيۡنَنَا
baynanaa
between us
وَبَيۡنَكُمُ
wa-baynakumul
and between you
ٱلۡعَدَٰوَةُ
ʻadaawatu
enmity
وَٱلۡبَغۡضَآءُ
wal-bag̣ḍaaaʹu
and hatred
أَبَدًا
ʹabadan
forever
حَتَّىٰ
ḥattaa
until
تُؤۡمِنُواْ
tuʹminoo
you believe
بِٱللَّهِ
billaahi
in Allah
وَحۡدَهُۥٓ
Waḥdahooo
Alone
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
Except
قَوۡلَ
q̣awla
(the) saying
إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ
ʹIbraaheema
(of) Ibrahim
لِأَبِيهِ
liʹabeehi
to his father
لَأَسۡتَغۡفِرَنَّ
laʹastag̣firanna
Surely I ask forgiveness
لَكَ
laka
for you
وَمَآ
wa-maaa
but not
أَمۡلِكُ
ʹamliku
I have power
لَكَ
laka
for you
مِنَ
minal
from
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
مِن
miñ
of
شَيۡءٖۖ
shayʹ.
anything
رَّبَّنَا
Rabbanaa
Our Lord
عَلَيۡكَ
ʻalayka
upon You
تَوَكَّلۡنَا
tawakkalnaa
we put our trust
وَإِلَيۡكَ
wa-ʹilayka
and to You
أَنَبۡنَا
ʹanabnaa
we turn
وَإِلَيۡكَ
wa-ʹilaykal
and to You
ٱلۡمَصِيرُ
Maṣeer.
(is) the final return
٤
60:5
رَبَّنَا
Rabbanaa
Our Lord
لَا
laa-
(do) not
تَجۡعَلۡنَا
tajʻalnaa
make us
فِتۡنَةٗ
fitnatal
a trial
لِّلَّذِينَ
lillaẓeena
for those who
كَفَرُواْ
kafaroo
disbelieve
وَٱغۡفِرۡ
wag̣fir
and forgive
لَنَا
lanaa
us
رَبَّنَآۖ
Rabbanaa!
our Lord
إِنَّكَ
ʹInnaka
Indeed You
أَنتَ
ʹAñtal
[You]
ٱلۡعَزِيزُ
ʻAzeezul
(are) the All-Mighty
ٱلۡحَكِيمُ
Ḥakeem.
the All-Wise

لَقَدۡ
Laq̣ad
Certainly
كَانَ
kaana
(there) is
لَكُمۡ
lakum
for you
فِيهِمۡ
feehim
in them
أُسۡوَةٌ
ʹuswatun
an example
حَسَنَةٞ
ḥasanatul
good
لِّمَن
limañ
for (he) who
كَانَ
kaana
is
يَرۡجُواْ
yarjul
hopeful
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
(in) Allah
وَٱلۡيَوۡمَ
wal-Yawmal
and the Day
ٱلۡأٓخِرَۚ
ʹAakhir.
the Last
وَمَن
Wa-mañy
And whoever
يَتَوَلَّ
yatawalla
turns away
فَإِنَّ
faʹinnal
then indeed
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
هُوَ
Huwal
He
ٱلۡغَنِيُّ
G̣aniyyul
(is) Free of need
ٱلۡحَمِيدُ
Ḥameed.
the Praiseworthy
٦
60:7
۞عَسَى
ʻAsal
Perhaps
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
أَن
ʹañy
[that]
يَجۡعَلَ
yajʻala
will put
بَيۡنَكُمۡ
baynakum
between you
وَبَيۡنَ
wa-baynal
and between
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those (to) whom
عَادَيۡتُم
ʻaadaytum
you have been enemies
مِّنۡهُم
minhum
among them
مَّوَدَّةٗۚ
mawaddah.
love
وَٱللَّهُ
Wallaahu
And Allah
قَدِيرٞۚ
Q̣adeer;
(is) All-Powerful
وَٱللَّهُ
wallaahu
And Allah
غَفُورٞ
G̣afoorur
(is) Oft-Forgiving
رَّحِيمٞ
Raḥeem.
Most Merciful
٧
60:8
لَّا
Laa-
Not
يَنۡهَىٰكُمُ
yanhaakumul
(does) forbid you
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
عَنِ
ʻanil
from
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
لَمۡ
lam
(do) not
يُقَٰتِلُوكُمۡ
yuq̣aatilookum
fight you
فِي
fid
in
ٱلدِّينِ
Deeni
the religion
وَلَمۡ
wa-lam
and (do) not
يُخۡرِجُوكُم
yukhrijookum
drive you out
مِّن
miñ
of
دِيَٰرِكُمۡ
diyaarikum
your homes
أَن
ʹañ
that
تَبَرُّوهُمۡ
tabarroohum
you deal kindly
وَتُقۡسِطُوٓاْ
wa-tuq̣siṭooo
and deal justly
إِلَيۡهِمۡۚ
ʹilayhim:
with them
إِنَّ
ʹinnal
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
يُحِبُّ
yuḥibbul
loves
ٱلۡمُقۡسِطِينَ
Muq̣siṭeen.
those who act justly
٨
60:9
إِنَّمَا
ʹInnamaa
Only
يَنۡهَىٰكُمُ
yanhaakumul
forbids you
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
عَنِ
ʻanil
from
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
قَٰتَلُوكُمۡ
q̣aatalookum
fight you
فِي
fid
in
ٱلدِّينِ
Deeni
the religion
وَأَخۡرَجُوكُم
wa-ʹakhrajookum
and drive you out
مِّن
miñ
of
دِيَٰرِكُمۡ
diyaarikum
your homes
وَظَٰهَرُواْ
wa-z̤̣aaharoo
and support
عَلَىٰٓ
ʻalaaa
in
إِخۡرَاجِكُمۡ
ʹikhraajikum
your expulsion
أَن
ʹañ
that
تَوَلَّوۡهُمۡۚ
tawallawhum.
you make them allies
وَمَن
Wa-mañy
And whoever
يَتَوَلَّهُمۡ
yatawallahum
makes them allies
فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
faʹulaaaʹika
then those
هُمُ
humuz̤̣
[they]
ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ
z̤̣aalimoon.
(are) the wrongdoers
٩
60:10
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
Yaaaʹayyuhal
O you
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
who
ءَامَنُوٓاْ
ʹaamanoo
believe
إِذَا
ʹiẓaa
When
جَآءَكُمُ
jaaaʹakumul
come to you
ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنَٰتُ
Muʹminaatu
the believing women
مُهَٰجِرَٰتٖ
Muhaajiraatiñ
(as) emigrants
فَٱمۡتَحِنُوهُنَّۖ
famtaḥinoohunn:
then examine them
ٱللَّهُ
ʹAllaahu
Allah
أَعۡلَمُ
ʹaʻlamu
(is) most knowing
بِإِيمَٰنِهِنَّۖ
biʹeemaanihinn:
of their faith
فَإِنۡ
faʹin
And if
عَلِمۡتُمُوهُنَّ
ʻalimtumoohunna
you know them
مُؤۡمِنَٰتٖ
Muʹminaatiñ
(to be) believers
فَلَا
falaa
then (do) not
تَرۡجِعُوهُنَّ
tarjiʻoohunna
return them
إِلَى
ʹilal
to
ٱلۡكُفَّارِۖ
Kuffaar.
the disbelievers
لَا
Laa-
Not
هُنَّ
hunna
they
حِلّٞ
ḥillul
(are) lawful
لَّهُمۡ
lahum
for them
وَلَا
wa-laa
and not
هُمۡ
hum
they
يَحِلُّونَ
yaḥilloona
are lawful
لَهُنَّۖ
lahunn.
for them
وَءَاتُوهُم
Wa-ʹaatoohum
But give them
مَّآ
maaa
what
أَنفَقُواْۚ
ʹañfaq̣oo.
they have spent
وَلَا
Wa-laa
And not
جُنَاحَ
junaaḥa
any blame
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
ʻalaykum
upon you
أَن
ʹañ
if
تَنكِحُوهُنَّ
tañkiḥoohunna
you marry them
إِذَآ
ʹiẓaaa
when
ءَاتَيۡتُمُوهُنَّ
ʹaataytumoohunna
you have given them
أُجُورَهُنَّۚ
ʹujoorahunn.
their (bridal) dues
وَلَا
Wa-laa
And (do) not
تُمۡسِكُواْ
tumsikoo
hold
بِعِصَمِ
biʻiṣamil
to marriage bonds
ٱلۡكَوَافِرِ
kawaafiri
(with) disbelieving women
وَسۡـَٔلُواْ
wasʹaloo
but ask (for)
مَآ
maaa
what
أَنفَقۡتُمۡ
ʹañfaq̣tum
you have spent
وَلۡيَسۡـَٔلُواْ
walyasʹaloo
and let them ask
مَآ
maaa
what
أَنفَقُواْۚ
ʹañfaq̣oo.
they have spent
ذَٰلِكُمۡ
Ẓaalikum
That
حُكۡمُ
ḥukmul
(is the) Judgment
ٱللَّهِ
laah.
(of) Allah
يَحۡكُمُ
Yaḥkumu
He judges
بَيۡنَكُمۡۖ
baynakum.
between you
وَٱللَّهُ
Wallaahu
And Allah
عَلِيمٌ
ʻAleemun
(is) All-Knowing
حَكِيمٞ
Ḥakeem.
All-Wise
١٠
60:11
وَإِن
Wa-ʹiñ
And if
فَاتَكُمۡ
faatakum
have gone from you
شَيۡءٞ
shayʹum
any
مِّنۡ
min
of
أَزۡوَٰجِكُمۡ
ʹazwaajikum
your wives
إِلَى
ʹilal
to
ٱلۡكُفَّارِ
kuffaari
the disbelievers
فَعَاقَبۡتُمۡ
faʻaaq̣abtum
then your turn comes
فَـَٔاتُواْ
faʹaatul
then give
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
(to) those who
ذَهَبَتۡ
ẓahabat
have gone
أَزۡوَٰجُهُم
ʹazwaajuhum
their wives
مِّثۡلَ
mis̤la
(the) like
مَآ
maaa
(of) what
أَنفَقُواْۚ
ʹañfaq̣oo.
they had spent
وَٱتَّقُواْ
Wattaq̣ul
And fear
ٱللَّهَ
laahal
Allah
ٱلَّذِيٓ
laẓeee
(in) Whom
أَنتُم
ʹañtum̃
you
بِهِۦ
bihee
[in Him]
مُؤۡمِنُونَ
Muʹminoon.
(are) believers

60:12
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
Yaaaʹayyuhan
O
ٱلنَّبِيُّ
Nabiyyu
Prophet
إِذَا
ʹiẓaa
When
جَآءَكَ
jaaaʹakal
come to you
ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنَٰتُ
Muʹminaatu
the believing women
يُبَايِعۡنَكَ
yubaayiʻnaka
pledging to you
عَلَىٰٓ
ʻalaaa
[on]
أَن
ʹal
that
لَّا
laa
not
يُشۡرِكۡنَ
yushrikna
they will associate
بِٱللَّهِ
billaahi
with Allah
شَيۡـٔٗا
shayʹañw
anything
وَلَا
walaa
and not
يَسۡرِقۡنَ
yasriq̣na
they will steal
وَلَا
wa-laa
and not
يَزۡنِينَ
yazneena
they will commit adultery
وَلَا
wa-laa
and not
يَقۡتُلۡنَ
yaq̣tulna
they will kill
أَوۡلَٰدَهُنَّ
ʹawlaadahunna
their children
وَلَا
wa-laa
and not
يَأۡتِينَ
yaʹteena
they bring
بِبُهۡتَٰنٖ
bibuhtaaniñy
slander
يَفۡتَرِينَهُۥ
yaftareenahoo
they invent it
بَيۡنَ
bayna
between
أَيۡدِيهِنَّ
ʹaydeehinna
their hands
وَأَرۡجُلِهِنَّ
wa-ʹarjulihinna
and their feet
وَلَا
wa-laa
and not
يَعۡصِينَكَ
yaʻṣeenaka
they will disobey you
فِي
fee
in
مَعۡرُوفٖ
maʻroofiñ
(the) right
فَبَايِعۡهُنَّ
fabaayiʻhunna
then accept their pledge
وَٱسۡتَغۡفِرۡ
wastag̣fir
and ask forgiveness
لَهُنَّ
lahunnal
for them
ٱللَّهَۚ
laah:
(from) Allah
إِنَّ
ʹinnal
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
غَفُورٞ
G̣afoorur
(is) Oft-Forgiving
رَّحِيمٞ
Raḥeem.
Most Merciful
١٢
60:13
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
Yaaaʹayyuhal
O you
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
who
ءَامَنُواْ
ʹaamanoo
believe
لَا
laa-
(Do) not
تَتَوَلَّوۡاْ
tatawallaw
make allies
قَوۡمًا
q̣awman
(of) a people
غَضِبَ
g̣aḍibal
(The) wrath
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
(of) Allah
عَلَيۡهِمۡ
ʻalayhim
(is) upon them
قَدۡ
q̣ad
Indeed
يَئِسُواْ
yaʹisoo
they despair
مِنَ
minal
of
ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ
ʹAakhirati
the Hereafter
كَمَا
kamaa
as
يَئِسَ
yaʹisal
despair
ٱلۡكُفَّارُ
kuffaaru
the disbelievers
مِنۡ
min
of
أَصۡحَٰبِ
ʹaṣḥaabil
(the) companions
ٱلۡقُبُورِ
q̣uboor.
(of) the graves
