55:1
ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنُ
ʹAR-RAḤ-MAAN.
The Most Gracious
١
55:2
عَلَّمَ
ʻAllamal
He taught
ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ
Q̣urʹaan.
the Quran
٢
55:3
خَلَقَ
Khalaq̣al
He created
ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ
ʹiñsaan.
[the] man
٣
55:4
عَلَّمَهُ
ʻAllamahul
He taught him
ٱلۡبَيَانَ
bayaan.
[the] speech
٤
55:5
ٱلشَّمۡسُ
ʹAshshamsu
The sun
وَٱلۡقَمَرُ
walq̣amaru
and the moon
بِحُسۡبَانٖ
biḥusbaan;
by (precise) calculation
٥
55:6
وَٱلنَّجۡمُ
Wannajmu
And the stars
وَٱلشَّجَرُ
washshajaru
and the trees
يَسۡجُدَانِ
yasjudaan.
both prostrate
٦
55:7
وَٱلسَّمَآءَ
Was-Samaaaʹa
And the heaven
رَفَعَهَا
rafaʻahaa
He raised it
وَوَضَعَ
wa-waḍaʻal
and He has set up
ٱلۡمِيزَانَ
Meezaan
the balance
٧
55:8
أَلَّا
ʹAllaa
That not
تَطۡغَوۡاْ
taṭg̣aw
you may transgress
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡمِيزَانِ
meezaan.
the balance
٨
55:9
وَأَقِيمُواْ
Wa-ʹaq̣eemul
And establish
ٱلۡوَزۡنَ
wazna
the weight
بِٱلۡقِسۡطِ
bilq̣isṭi
in justice
وَلَا
wa-laa
and (do) not
تُخۡسِرُواْ
tukhsirul
make deficient
ٱلۡمِيزَانَ
meezaan.
the balance
٩
55:10
وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ
Wal-ʹarḍa
And the earth
وَضَعَهَا
waḍaʻahaa
He laid it
لِلۡأَنَامِ
lilʹanaam:
for the creatures
١٠
55:11
فِيهَا
Feehaa
Therein
فَٰكِهَةٞ
faakihatuñw
(is) fruit
وَٱلنَّخۡلُ
wan-nakhlu
and date-palms
ذَاتُ
ẓaatul
having
ٱلۡأَكۡمَامِ
ʹakmaam;
sheaths
١١
55:12
وَٱلۡحَبُّ
Walḥabbu
And the grain
ذُو
ẓul
having
ٱلۡعَصۡفِ
ʻaṣfi
husk
وَٱلرَّيۡحَانُ
war-rayḥaan.
and scented plants
١٢
55:13
فَبِأَيِّ
Fabiʹayyi
So which
ءَالَآءِ
ʹaalaaaʹi
(of the) favors
رَبِّكُمَا
Rabbikumaa
(of) your Lord
تُكَذِّبَانِ
tukaẓẓibaan?
will you both deny
١٣
55:14
خَلَقَ
Khalaq̣al
He created
ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ
ʹiñsaana
the man
مِن
miñ
from
صَلۡصَٰلٖ
ṣalṣaaliñ
clay
كَٱلۡفَخَّارِ
kalfakhkhaar,
like the pottery
١٤
55:15
وَخَلَقَ
Wa-khalaq̣al
And He created
ٱلۡجَآنَّ
Jaaanna
the jinn
مِن
mim
from
مَّارِجٖ
maarijim
a smokeless flame
مِّن
min
of
نَّارٖ
Naar:
fire
١٥
55:16
فَبِأَيِّ
Fabiʹayyi
So which
ءَالَآءِ
ʹaalaaaʹi
(of the) favors
رَبِّكُمَا
Rabbikumaa
(of) your Lord
تُكَذِّبَانِ
tukaẓẓibaan?
will you both deny

رَبُّ
Rabbul
Lord
ٱلۡمَشۡرِقَيۡنِ
Mashriq̣ayni
(of) the two Easts
وَرَبُّ
wa-rabbul
and Lord
ٱلۡمَغۡرِبَيۡنِ
Mag̣ribayn:
(of) the two Wests
١٧
55:18
فَبِأَيِّ
Fabiʹayyi
So which
ءَالَآءِ
ʹaalaaʹi
(of the) favors
رَبِّكُمَا
Rabbikumaa
(of) your Lord
تُكَذِّبَانِ
tukaẓẓibaan?
will you both deny
١٨
55:19
مَرَجَ
Marajal
He released
ٱلۡبَحۡرَيۡنِ
baḥrayni
the two seas
يَلۡتَقِيَانِ
yaltaq̣iyaan:
meeting
١٩
55:20
بَيۡنَهُمَا
Baynahumaa
Between both of them
بَرۡزَخٞ
Barzakhul
(is) a barrier
لَّا
laa
not
يَبۡغِيَانِ
yabg̣iyaan:
they transgress
٢٠
55:21
فَبِأَيِّ
Fabiʹayyi
So which
ءَالَآءِ
ʹaalaaaʹi
(of the) favors
رَبِّكُمَا
Rabbikumaa
(of) your Lord
تُكَذِّبَانِ
tukaẓẓibaan?
will you both deny
٢١
55:22
يَخۡرُجُ
Yakhruju
Come forth
مِنۡهُمَا
minhumal
from both of them
ٱللُّؤۡلُؤُ
Luʹluʹu
the pearl
وَٱلۡمَرۡجَانُ
wal-Marjaan:
and the coral
٢٢
55:23
فَبِأَيِّ
Fabiʹayyi
So which
ءَالَآءِ
ʹaalaaaʹi
(of the) favors
رَبِّكُمَا
Rabbikumaa
(of) your Lord
تُكَذِّبَانِ
tukaẓẓibaan?
will you both deny
٢٣
55:24
وَلَهُ
Wa-lahul
And for Him
ٱلۡجَوَارِ
Jawaaril
(are) the ships
ٱلۡمُنشَـَٔاتُ
muñ-shaʹaaatu
elevated
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡبَحۡرِ
baḥri
the sea
كَٱلۡأَعۡلَٰمِ
kal-ʹaʻlaam:
like mountains
٢٤
55:25
فَبِأَيِّ
Fabiʹayyi
So which
ءَالَآءِ
ʹaalaaaʹi
(of the) favors
رَبِّكُمَا
Rabbikumaa
(of) your Lord
تُكَذِّبَانِ
tukaẓẓibaan?
will you both deny
٢٥
55:26
كُلُّ
Kullu
Everyone
مَنۡ
man
who
عَلَيۡهَا
ʻalayhaa
(is) on it
فَانٖ
faan:
(will) perish
٢٦
55:27
وَيَبۡقَىٰ
Wa-yabq̣aa
But will remain
وَجۡهُ
Wajhu
(the) Face
رَبِّكَ
Rabbika
(of) your Lord
ذُو
Ẓul
(the) Owner
ٱلۡجَلَٰلِ
Jalaali
(of) Majesty
وَٱلۡإِكۡرَامِ
wal-ʹIkraam.
and Honor
٢٧
55:28
فَبِأَيِّ
Fabiʹayyi
So which
ءَالَآءِ
ʹaalaaaʹi
(of the) favors
رَبِّكُمَا
Rabbikumaa
(of) your Lord
تُكَذِّبَانِ
tukaẓẓibaan?
will you both deny
٢٨
55:29
يَسۡـَٔلُهُۥ
Yasʹaluhoo
Asks Him
مَن
mañ
whoever
فِي
fis
(is) in
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
samaawaati
the heavens
وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ
walarḍ:
and the earth
كُلَّ
kulla
Every
يَوۡمٍ
Yawmin
day
هُوَ
Huwa
He
فِي
fee
(is) in
شَأۡنٖ
shaʹn!
a matter
٢٩
55:30
فَبِأَيِّ
Fabiʹayyi
So which
ءَالَآءِ
ʹaalaaʹi
(of the) favors
رَبِّكُمَا
Rabbikumaa
(of) your Lord
تُكَذِّبَانِ
tukaẓẓibaan?
will you both deny
٣٠
55:31
سَنَفۡرُغُ
Sanafrug̣u
Soon We will attend
لَكُمۡ
lakum
to you
أَيُّهَ
ʹayyuhas̤
O you
ٱلثَّقَلَانِ
s̤aq̣alaan!
two classes
٣١
55:32
فَبِأَيِّ
Fabiʹayyi
So which
ءَالَآءِ
ʹaalaaaʹi
(of the) favors
رَبِّكُمَا
Rabbikumaa
(of) your Lord
تُكَذِّبَانِ
tukaẓẓibaan?
will you both deny
٣٢
55:33
يَٰمَعۡشَرَ
Yaa-Maʻsharal
O assembly
ٱلۡجِنِّ
jinni
(of) the jinn
وَٱلۡإِنسِ
wal-ʹiñsi
and the men
إِنِ
ʹinis
If
ٱسۡتَطَعۡتُمۡ
tataʻtum
you are able
أَن
ʹañ
to
تَنفُذُواْ
tañfuẓoo
pass beyond
مِنۡ
min
[of]
أَقۡطَارِ
ʹaq̣ṭaaris
(the) regions
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
samaawaati
(of) the heavens
وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ
wal-ʹarḍi
and the earth
فَٱنفُذُواْۚ
fañfuẓoo!
then pass
لَا
laa-
Not
تَنفُذُونَ
tañfuẓoona
you (can) pass
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
except
بِسُلۡطَٰنٖ
bisulṭaan!
by authority
٣٣
55:34
فَبِأَيِّ
Fabiʹayyi
So which
ءَالَآءِ
ʹaalaaaʹi
(of the) favors
رَبِّكُمَا
Rabbikumaa
(of) your Lord
تُكَذِّبَانِ
tukaẓẓibaan?
will you both deny
٣٤
55:35
يُرۡسَلُ
Yursalu
Will be sent
عَلَيۡكُمَا
ʻalaykumaa
against both of you
شُوَاظٞ
shuwaaz̤̣um
a flame
مِّن
min
of
نَّارٖ
naariñwwa
fire
وَنُحَاسٞ
nuḥaasuñ
and smoke
فَلَا
falaa
and not
تَنتَصِرَانِ
tañtaṣiraan;
you will (be able to) defend yourselves
٣٥
55:36
فَبِأَيِّ
Fabiʹayyi
So which
ءَالَآءِ
ʹaalaaaʹi
(of the) favors
رَبِّكُمَا
Rabbikumaa
(of) your Lord
تُكَذِّبَانِ
tukaẓẓibaan?
will you both deny
٣٦
55:37
فَإِذَا
Faʹiẓañ
Then when
ٱنشَقَّتِ
shaq̣q̣atis
is split
ٱلسَّمَآءُ
samaaaʹu
the heaven
فَكَانَتۡ
fakaanat
and it becomes
وَرۡدَةٗ
wardatañ
rose-colored
كَٱلدِّهَانِ
kaddihaan:
like murky oil
٣٧
55:38
فَبِأَيِّ
Fabiʹayyi
So which
ءَالَآءِ
ʹaalaaaʹi
(of the) favors
رَبِّكُمَا
Rabbikumaa
(of) your Lord
تُكَذِّبَانِ
tukaẓẓibaan?
will you both deny
٣٨
55:39
فَيَوۡمَئِذٖ
Fayawmaʹiẓil
Then (on) that Day
لَّا
laa
not
يُسۡـَٔلُ
yusʹalu
will be asked
عَن
ʻañ
about
ذَنۢبِهِۦٓ
ẓambiheee
his sin
إِنسٞ
ʹiñsuñw
any man
وَلَا
Walaa
and not
جَآنّٞ
jaaann,―
any jinn
٣٩
55:40
فَبِأَيِّ
Fabiʹayyi
So which
ءَالَآءِ
ʹaalaaaʹi
(of the) favors
رَبِّكُمَا
Rabbikumaa
(of) your Lord
تُكَذِّبَانِ
tukaẓẓibaan?
will you both deny

يُعۡرَفُ
Yuʻraful
Will be known
ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ
mujrimoona
the criminals
بِسِيمَٰهُمۡ
biseemaahum
by their marks
فَيُؤۡخَذُ
fayuʹkhaẓu
and will be seized
بِٱلنَّوَٰصِي
binnawaaṣee
by the forelocks
وَٱلۡأَقۡدَامِ
wal-ʹaq̣daam.
and the feet
٤١
55:42
فَبِأَيِّ
Fabiʹayyi
So which
ءَالَآءِ
ʹaalaaaʹi
(of the) favors
رَبِّكُمَا
Rabbikumaa
(of) your Lord
تُكَذِّبَانِ
tukaẓẓibaan?
will you both deny
٤٢
55:43
هَٰذِهِۦ
Haaẓihee
This
جَهَنَّمُ
Jahannamul
(is) Hell
ٱلَّتِي
latee
which
يُكَذِّبُ
yukaẓẓibu
deny
بِهَا
bihal
[of it]
ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ
mujrimoon;
the criminals
٤٣
55:44
يَطُوفُونَ
Yaṭoofoona
They will go around
بَيۡنَهَا
baynahaa
between it
وَبَيۡنَ
wa-bayna
and between
حَمِيمٍ
ḥameemin
scalding water
ءَانٖ
ʹaan!
heated
٤٤
55:45
فَبِأَيِّ
Fabiʹayyi
So which
ءَالَآءِ
ʹaalaaaʹi
(of the) favors
رَبِّكُمَا
Rabbikumaa
(of) your Lord
تُكَذِّبَانِ
tukaẓẓibaan?
will you both deny
٤٥
55:46
وَلِمَنۡ
Wa-liman
But for (him) who
خَافَ
khaafa
fears
مَقَامَ
maq̣aama
(the) standing
رَبِّهِۦ
Rabbihee
(before) his Lord
جَنَّتَانِ
Jannataan,―
(are) two gardens
٤٦
55:47
فَبِأَيِّ
Fabiʹayyi
So which
ءَالَآءِ
ʹaalaaaʹi
(of the) favors
رَبِّكُمَا
Rabbikumaa
(of) your Lord
تُكَذِّبَانِ
tukaẓẓibaan?
will you both deny
٤٧
55:48
ذَوَاتَآ
Ẓawaataaa
Having
أَفۡنَانٖ
ʹafnaan:―
branches
٤٨
55:49
فَبِأَيِّ
Fabiʹayyi
So which
ءَالَآءِ
ʹaalaaaʹi
(of the) favors
رَبِّكُمَا
Rabbikumaa
(of) your Lord
تُكَذِّبَانِ
tukaẓẓibaaan?
will you both deny
٤٩
55:50
فِيهِمَا
Feehimaa
In both of them
عَيۡنَانِ
ʻaynaani
(are) two springs
تَجۡرِيَانِ
tajriyaan:―
flowing
