53:2مَاMaa-Notضَلَّḍallahas strayedصَاحِبُكُمۡṢaaḥibukumyour companionوَمَاwa-maaand notغَوَىٰg̣awaa,has he erred٢
53:6ذُوẒooPossessor of soundnessمِرَّةٖMirratiñPossessor of soundnessفَٱسۡتَوَىٰfastawaa,And he rose٦
53:9فَكَانَFakaanaAnd wasقَابَQ̣aaba(at) a distanceقَوۡسَيۡنِq̣awsayni(of) two bow-(lengths)أَوۡʹaworأَدۡنَىٰʹadnaa.nearer٩
53:10فَأَوۡحَىٰٓFaʹawḥaaaSo he revealedإِلَىٰʹilaatoعَبۡدِهِۦʻAbdiheeHis slaveمَآmaaawhatأَوۡحَىٰʹawḥaa.he revealed١٠
53:12أَفَتُمَٰرُونَهُۥʹAfatumaaroonahooThen will you dispute with himعَلَىٰʹalaaaboutمَاmaa-whatيَرَىٰyaraa?he saw١٢
53:13وَلَقَدۡWa-laq̣adAnd certainlyرَءَاهُraʹaahuhe saw himنَزۡلَةًnazlatan(in) descentأُخۡرَىٰʹukhraa,another١٣
53:16إِذۡʹIẓWhenيَغۡشَىyag̣shascoveredٱلسِّدۡرَةَSidratathe Lote Treeمَاmaa-whatيَغۡشَىٰyag̣shaa!covers١٦
53:17مَاMaa-Notزَاغَzaag̣alswervedٱلۡبَصَرُbaṣaruthe sightوَمَاwa-maaand notطَغَىٰṭag̣aa!it transgressed١٧
53:18لَقَدۡLaq̣adCertainlyرَأَىٰraʹaahe sawمِنۡminofءَايَٰتِʹAayaati(the) SignsرَبِّهِRabbihil(of) his LordٱلۡكُبۡرَىٰٓKubraa!the Greatest١٨
53:19أَفَرَءَيۡتُمُʹAfaraʹaytumulSo have you seenٱللَّٰتَLaatathe Latوَٱلۡعُزَّىٰwal-ʻUzzaa,and the Uzza١٩
53:21أَلَكُمُʹA-lakumuẓIs for youٱلذَّكَرُẓakaruthe maleوَلَهُwa-lahuland for Himٱلۡأُنثَىٰʹuñs̤aa?the female٢١
53:23إِنۡʹInNotهِيَhiyatheyإِلَّآʹillaaa(are) exceptأَسۡمَآءٞʹasmaaaʹuñnamesسَمَّيۡتُمُوهَآsammaytumoohaaayou have named themأَنتُمۡʹañtumyouوَءَابَآؤُكُمwa-ʹaabaaaʹukumand your forefathersمَّآmaaanotأَنزَلَʹañzalalhas Allah sent downٱللَّهُlaahuhas Allah sent downبِهَاbihaafor itمِنmiñanyسُلۡطَٰنٍۚsulṭaan.authorityإِنʹIñyNotيَتَّبِعُونَyattabiʻoonathey followإِلَّاʹillaz̤̣exceptٱلظَّنَّz̤̣annaassumptionوَمَاwa-maaand whatتَهۡوَىtahwaldesireٱلۡأَنفُسُۖʹañfus!-the(ir) soulsوَلَقَدۡWalaq̣adAnd certainlyجَآءَهُمjaaaʹahumhas come to themمِّنmirfromرَّبِّهِمُRabbihimultheir LordٱلۡهُدَىٰٓHudaa!the guidance٢٣
53:25فَلِلَّهِFalillahilBut for AllahٱلۡأٓخِرَةُʹAakhiratu(is) the lastوَٱلۡأُولَىٰwal-ʹoolaa.and the first٢٥
53:26۞وَكَمWa-kamAnd how manyمِّنmimofمَّلَكٖmalakiñ(the) Angelsفِيfisinٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِsamaawaatithe heavensلَاlaa-notتُغۡنِيtug̣neewill availشَفَٰعَتُهُمۡshafaaʻatuhumtheir intercessionشَيۡـًٔاshayʹananythingإِلَّاʹillaaexceptمِنۢmimafterبَعۡدِbaʻdiafterأَنʹañy[that]يَأۡذَنَyaʹẓanalAllah has given permissionٱللَّهُlaahuAllah has given permissionلِمَنlimañyfor whomيَشَآءُyashaaaʹuHe willsوَيَرۡضَىٰٓwa-yarḍaa.and approves٢٦
53:27إِنَّʹInnalIndeedٱلَّذِينَlaẓeenathose whoلَاlaa-(do) notيُؤۡمِنُونَyuʹminoonabelieveبِٱلۡأٓخِرَةِbil-ʹAakhiratiin the Hereafterلَيُسَمُّونَlayusammoonalsurely they nameٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةَmalaaaʹikatathe Angelsتَسۡمِيَةَtasmiyatalname(s)ٱلۡأُنثَىٰʹuñs̤aa.(of) female٢٧
53:28وَمَاWa-maaAnd notلَهُمlahum̃for themبِهِۦbiheeabout itمِنۡminanyعِلۡمٍۖʻilm.knowledgeإِنʹIñyNotيَتَّبِعُونَyattabiʻoonathey followإِلَّاʹillaz̤̣butٱلظَّنَّۖz̤̣ann:assumptionوَإِنَّwa-ʹinnaz̤̣And indeedٱلظَّنَّz̤̣annathe assumptionلَاlaa-(does) notيُغۡنِيyug̣neeavailمِنَminalagainstٱلۡحَقِّḤaq̣q̣ithe truthشَيۡـٔٗاshayʹaa.anything٢٨
53:29فَأَعۡرِضۡFaʹaʻriḍSo turn awayعَنʻamfromمَّنmañ(him) whoتَوَلَّىٰtawallaaturns awayعَنʻañfromذِكۡرِنَاẓikrinaaOur Reminderوَلَمۡwa-lamand notيُرِدۡyuridhe desiresإِلَّاʹillalexceptٱلۡحَيَوٰةَḥayaatadthe lifeٱلدُّنۡيَاdunyaa.(of) the world٢٩
53:30ذَٰلِكَẒaalikaThatمَبۡلَغُهُمmablag̣uhum(is) their sumمِّنَminalofٱلۡعِلۡمِۚʻilm.knowledgeإِنَّʹInnaIndeedرَبَّكَRabbakayour LordهُوَHuwa(is) He (Who)أَعۡلَمُʹaʻlamuknows bestبِمَنbimañ(he) whoضَلَّḍallastraysعَنʻañfromسَبِيلِهِۦsabeeliheeHis Pathوَهُوَwa-Huwaand Heأَعۡلَمُʹaʻlamuknows bestبِمَنِbimanih(he) whoٱهۡتَدَىٰtadaa.is guided٣٠
53:31وَلِلَّهِWalillaahiAnd for Allahمَاmaa-(is) whateverفِيfis(is) inٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِsamaawaatithe heavensوَمَاwa-maaand whateverفِيfil(is) inٱلۡأَرۡضِʹarḍithe earthلِيَجۡزِيَliyajziyalthat He may recompenseٱلَّذِينَlaẓeenathose whoأَسَٰٓـُٔواْʹasaaaʹoodo evilبِمَاbimaawith whatعَمِلُواْʻamiloothey have doneوَيَجۡزِيَwa-yajziyaland recompenseٱلَّذِينَlaẓeenathose whoأَحۡسَنُواْʹaḥsanoodo goodبِٱلۡحُسۡنَىbilḥusnaa.with the best٣١
53:32ٱلَّذِينَʹAllaẓeenaThose whoيَجۡتَنِبُونَyajtaniboonaavoidكَبَٰٓئِرَkabaaaʹiralgreatٱلۡإِثۡمِʹis̤misinsوَٱلۡفَوَٰحِشَwalfawaaḥishaand the immoralitiesإِلَّاʹillalexceptٱللَّمَمَۚlamam,―the small faultsإِنَّʹinnaindeedرَبَّكَRabbakayour LordوَٰسِعُWaasiʻul(is) vastٱلۡمَغۡفِرَةِۚMag̣firah.(in) forgivenessهُوَHuwaHeأَعۡلَمُʹaʻlamu(is) most knowing about youبِكُمۡbikum(is) most knowing about youإِذۡʹizwhenأَنشَأَكُمʹañshaʹakumHe produced youمِّنَminalfromٱلۡأَرۡضِʹarḍithe earthوَإِذۡwa-ʹizand whenأَنتُمۡʹañtumyou (were)أَجِنَّةٞʹajinnatuñfetusesفِيfeeinبُطُونِbuṭooni(the) wombsأُمَّهَٰتِكُمۡۖʹummahaatikum.(of) your mothersفَلَاFalaaSo (do) notتُزَكُّوٓاْtuzakkoooascribe purityأَنفُسَكُمۡۖʹañfusakum:(to) yourselvesهُوَHuwaHeأَعۡلَمُʹaʻlamuknows bestبِمَنِbimanit(he) whoٱتَّقَىٰٓtaq̣aa.fears٣٢
53:35أَعِندَهُۥʹAʻiñdahooIs with himعِلۡمُʻilmul(the) knowledgeٱلۡغَيۡبِg̣aybi(of) the unseenفَهُوَfahuwaso heيَرَىٰٓyaraa?sees٣٥
53:36أَمۡʹAmOrلَمۡlamnotيُنَبَّأۡyunabbaʹhe was informedبِمَاbimaawith whatفِيfee(was) inصُحُفِṢuḥufi(the) ScripturesمُوسَىٰMoosaa.(of) Musa٣٦
53:38أَلَّاʹAllaaThat notتَزِرُtaziruwill bearوَازِرَةٞwaaziratuñwa bearer of burdensوِزۡرَwizra(the) burdenأُخۡرَىٰʹukhraa;(of) another٣٨
53:39وَأَنWa-ʹalAnd thatلَّيۡسَlaysais notلِلۡإِنسَٰنِlil-ʹiñsaanifor manإِلَّاʹillaaexceptمَاmaa-whatسَعَىٰsaʻaa;he strives (for)٣٩
53:41ثُمَّS̤ummaThenيُجۡزَىٰهُyujzaahulhe will be recompensed for itٱلۡجَزَآءَjazaaathe recompenseٱلۡأَوۡفَىٰʹal-ʹawfaa;the fullest٤١
53:42وَأَنَّWa-ʹannaAnd thatإِلَىٰʹilaatoرَبِّكَRabbikalyour LordٱلۡمُنتَهَىٰMuñtahaa;(is) the final goal٤٢
53:43وَأَنَّهُۥWa-ʹannahooAnd that HeهُوَHuwa[He]أَضۡحَكَʹaḍḥakamakes (one) laughوَأَبۡكَىٰwa-ʹabkaa;and makes (one) weep٤٣
53:44وَأَنَّهُۥWa-ʹannahooAnd that HeهُوَHuwa[He]أَمَاتَʹamaatacauses deathوَأَحۡيَاwa-ʹaḥyaa;and gives life٤٤
53:45وَأَنَّهُۥWa-ʹannahooAnd that Heخَلَقَkhalaq̣azcreatedٱلزَّوۡجَيۡنِzawjayniẓthe pairsٱلذَّكَرَẓakarathe maleوَٱلۡأُنثَىٰwal-ʹuñs̤aa,and the female٤٥
53:47وَأَنَّWa-ʹannaAnd thatعَلَيۡهِʻalayhinupon HimٱلنَّشۡأَةَNashʹatal(is) the bringing forthٱلۡأُخۡرَىٰʹUkhraa;another٤٧
53:48وَأَنَّهُۥWa-ʹannahooAnd that HeهُوَHuwa[He]أَغۡنَىٰʹag̣naaenrichesوَأَقۡنَىٰwa-ʹaq̣naa;and suffices٤٨
53:49وَأَنَّهُۥWa-ʹannahuAnd that HeهُوَHuwa[He]رَبُّRabbush(is the) LordٱلشِّعۡرَىٰShiʻraa;(of) Sirius٤٩
53:50وَأَنَّهُۥٓWa-ʹannahoooAnd that HeأَهۡلَكَʹahlakadestroyedعَادًاʻAadanilAadٱلۡأُولَىٰʹOolaa,the first٥٠
