50:2بَلۡBalNayعَجِبُوٓاْʻajibooothey wonderأَنʹañthatجَآءَهُمjaaaʹahumhas come to themمُّنذِرٞMuñẓiruma warnerمِّنۡهُمۡminhumfrom themفَقَالَfaq̣aalalSo sayٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَkaafiroonathe disbelieversهَٰذَاhaaẓaaThisشَيۡءٌshayʹun(is) a thingعَجِيبٌʻajeeb!amazing٢
50:3أَءِذَاʹA-ʹiẓaaWhat! Whenمِتۡنَاmitnaawe dieوَكُنَّاwa-kunnaaand have becomeتُرَابٗاۖturaabaa?dustذَٰلِكَẒaalikaThatرَجۡعُۢRajʻum(is) a returnبَعِيدٞbaʻeed!far٣
50:4قَدۡQ̣adCertainlyعَلِمۡنَاʻalimnaaWe knowمَاmaa-whatتَنقُصُtañq̣uṣuldiminishesٱلۡأَرۡضُʹarḍuthe earthمِنۡهُمۡۖminhum:of themوَعِندَنَاwa-ʻiñdanaaand with UsكِتَٰبٌKitaabun(is) a BookحَفِيظُۢHafeez̤̣.guarded٤
50:5بَلۡBalNayكَذَّبُواْkaẓẓaboothey deniedبِٱلۡحَقِّbil-Ḥaq̣q̣ithe truthلَمَّاlammaawhenجَآءَهُمۡjaaaʹahumit came (to) themفَهُمۡfahumso theyفِيٓfeee(are) inأَمۡرٖʹamrima stateمَّرِيجٍmareej.confused٥
50:6أَفَلَمۡʹAfalamThen do notيَنظُرُوٓاْyañz̤̣urooothey lookإِلَىʹilasatٱلسَّمَآءِsamaaaʹithe skyفَوۡقَهُمۡfawq̣ahumabove them كَيۡفَkayfahowبَنَيۡنَٰهَاbanaynaahaaWe structured itوَزَيَّنَّٰهَاwa-zayyannaahaaand adorned itوَمَاwa-maaand notلَهَاlahaafor itمِنmiñanyفُرُوجٖfurooj?rifts٦
50:7وَٱلۡأَرۡضَWal-ʹarḍaAnd the earthمَدَدۡنَٰهَاmadadnaahaaWe have spread it outوَأَلۡقَيۡنَاwa-ʹalq̣aynaaand castفِيهَاfeehaathereinرَوَٰسِيَrawaasiyafirmly set mountainsوَأَنۢبَتۡنَاwa-ʹambatnaaand We made to growفِيهَاfeehaathereinمِنmiñofكُلِّkullieveryزَوۡجِۭzawjimkindبَهِيجٖbaheej,―beautiful٧
50:8تَبۡصِرَةٗTabṣiratañwGiving insightوَذِكۡرَىٰWaẓikraaand a reminderلِكُلِّlikullifor everyعَبۡدٖʻabdimslaveمُّنِيبٖmuneeb.who turns٨
50:9وَنَزَّلۡنَاWa-nazzalnaaAnd We have sent downمِنَminasfromٱلسَّمَآءِsamaaaʹithe skyمَآءٗmaaaʹamwaterمُّبَٰرَكٗاmubaarakañblessedفَأَنۢبَتۡنَاfaʹambatnaathen We made to growبِهِۦbiheetherebyجَنَّٰتٖjannatiñwgardensوَحَبَّwaḥabbaland grainٱلۡحَصِيدِḥaṣeed;(for) the harvest٩
50:10وَٱلنَّخۡلَWannakhlaAnd the palms treesبَاسِقَٰتٖbaasiq̣aatiltall لَّهَاlahaafor itطَلۡعٞṭalʻun(are) layersنَّضِيدٞnaḍeed;―arranged١٠
50:11رِّزۡقٗاRizq̣alA provisionلِّلۡعِبَادِۖlilʻibaadifor the slavesوَأَحۡيَيۡنَاwa-ʹaḥyaynaaand We give lifeبِهِۦbiheetherewithبَلۡدَةٗbaldatam(to) a landمَّيۡتٗاۚmaytaa.deadكَذَٰلِكَKaẓaalikalThusٱلۡخُرُوجُkhurooj.(will be) the coming forth١١
50:12كَذَّبَتۡKaẓẓabatDeniedقَبۡلَهُمۡq̣ablahumbefore themقَوۡمُQ̣awmu(the) peopleنُوحٖNooḥiñw(of) NuhوَأَصۡحَٰبُwaʹAṣḥaaburand (the) companionsٱلرَّسِّRassi(of) Ar-Raasوَثَمُودُwa-S̤amood,and Thamud١٢
50:13وَعَادٞWa-ʻAaduñwAnd AadوَفِرۡعَوۡنُWa-Firʻawnuand Firaunوَإِخۡوَٰنُwa-ʹIkhwaanuand (the) brothersلُوطٖLooṭ(of) Lut١٣
50:14وَأَصۡحَٰبُWa-ʹAṣḥaabulAnd (the) companionsٱلۡأَيۡكَةِʹaykati(of) the woodوَقَوۡمُwa-Q̣awmuand (the) peopleتُبَّعٖۚTubbaʻ;(of) TubbaكُلّٞkulluñAllكَذَّبَkaẓẓabardeniedٱلرُّسُلَrusulathe Messengersفَحَقَّfaḥaq̣q̣aso was fulfilledوَعِيدِWaʻeed.My Threat١٤
50:15أَفَعَيِينَاʹAfaʻayeenaaWere We then tiredبِٱلۡخَلۡقِbilkhalq̣ilwith the creationٱلۡأَوَّلِۚʹawwal:the firstبَلۡbalNayهُمۡhumtheyفِيfee(are) inلَبۡسٖlabsimdoubtمِّنۡminaboutخَلۡقٖkhalq̣iña creationجَدِيدٖjadeed?new١٥
50:16وَلَقَدۡWa-laq̣adAnd certainlyخَلَقۡنَاkhalaq̣nalWe createdٱلۡإِنسَٰنَʹiñsaanamanوَنَعۡلَمُWanaʻlamuand We knowمَاmaa-whatتُوَسۡوِسُtuwaswisuwhispersبِهِۦbiheeto himنَفۡسُهُۥۖnafsuh:his soulوَنَحۡنُwa-Naḥnuand Weأَقۡرَبُʹaq̣rabu(are) nearerإِلَيۡهِʹilayhito himمِنۡminthanحَبۡلِḥablil(his) jugular veinٱلۡوَرِيدِwareed.(his) jugular vein١٦
50:17إِذۡʹIẓWhenيَتَلَقَّىyatalaq̣q̣alreceiveٱلۡمُتَلَقِّيَانِmutalaq̣q̣iyaanithe two receiversعَنِʻanilonٱلۡيَمِينِyameenithe rightوَعَنِwa-ʻanishand onٱلشِّمَالِshimaalithe leftقَعِيدٞq̣aʻeed.seated١٧
50:18مَّاMaa-Notيَلۡفِظُyalfiz̤̣uhe uttersمِنmiñanyقَوۡلٍq̣awlinwordإِلَّاʹillaabutلَدَيۡهِladayhiwith himرَقِيبٌraq̣eebun(is) an observerعَتِيدٞʻateed.ready١٨
50:19وَجَآءَتۡWa-jaaaʹatAnd will comeسَكۡرَةُsakratul(the) stuporٱلۡمَوۡتِmawṭi(of) deathبِٱلۡحَقِّۖbilḥaq̣q̣:in truthذَٰلِكَẓaalikaThatمَاmaa-(is) whatكُنتَkuñtayou wereمِنۡهُminhu[from it]تَحِيدُtaḥeed!avoiding١٩
50:20وَنُفِخَWa-nufikhaAnd will be blownفِيfiṣ[in]ٱلصُّورِۚṢoor:the trumpetذَٰلِكَẓaalikaThatيَوۡمُYawmul(is the) DayٱلۡوَعِيدِWaʻeed.(of) the Warning٢٠
50:21وَجَآءَتۡWa-jaaaʹatAnd will comeكُلُّkullueveryنَفۡسٖnafsimsoulمَّعَهَاmaʻahaawith itسَآئِقٞsaaaʹiq̣uñwa driverوَشَهِيدٞwashaheed.and a witness٢١
50:22لَّقَدۡLaq̣adCertainlyكُنتَkuñtayou wereفِيfeeinغَفۡلَةٖg̣aflatimheedlessnessمِّنۡminofهَٰذَاhaaẓaathisفَكَشَفۡنَاfakashafnaaSo We have removedعَنكَʻañkafrom youغِطَآءَكَg̣iṭaaaʹakayour coverفَبَصَرُكَfabaṣarukalso your sightٱلۡيَوۡمَYawmatodayحَدِيدٞḥadeed!(is) sharp٢٢
50:23وَقَالَWa-q̣aalaAnd (will) sayقَرِينُهُۥQ̣areenuhoohis companionهَٰذَاhaaẓaaThisمَاmaa-(is) whatلَدَيَّladayya(is) with meعَتِيدٌʻateed!ready٢٣
50:24أَلۡقِيَاʹAlq̣iyaaThrowفِيfeein (to)جَهَنَّمَJahannamaHellكُلَّkullaeveryكَفَّارٍkaffaarindisbelieverعَنِيدٖʻaneed,stubborn٢٤
50:25مَّنَّاعٖMannaaʻilForbidderلِّلۡخَيۡرِlilkhayriof goodمُعۡتَدٖmuʻtadimtransgressorمُّرِيبٍmureeb;doubter٢٥
50:26ٱلَّذِيʹAllaẓeeWhoجَعَلَjaʻalamadeمَعَmaʻalwithٱللَّهِlaahiAllahإِلَٰهًاʹilaahana godءَاخَرَʹaakharaanotherفَأَلۡقِيَاهُfaʹalq̣iyaahuso throw himفِيfilin(to)ٱلۡعَذَابِʻAẓaabishthe punishmentٱلشَّدِيدِshadeed.the severe٢٦
50:27۞قَالَQ̣aalaWill sayقَرِينُهُۥQ̣areenuhoohis companionرَبَّنَاRabbanaaOur Lordمَآmaaanotأَطۡغَيۡتُهُۥʹaṭg̣aytuhooI made him transgressوَلَٰكِنwa-laakiñbutكَانَkaanahe wasفِيfeeinضَلَٰلِۭḍalaalimerrorبَعِيدٖbaʻeed.far٢٧
50:28قَالَQ̣aalaHe will sayلَاlaa-(Do) notتَخۡتَصِمُواْtakhtaṣimoodisputeلَدَيَّladayya(in) My presenceوَقَدۡwa-q̣adand indeedقَدَّمۡتُq̣addamtuI sent forthإِلَيۡكُمʹilaykum̃to youبِٱلۡوَعِيدِbilwaʻeed.the Warning٢٨
50:29مَاMaa-Notيُبَدَّلُyubaddalulwill be changedٱلۡقَوۡلُQ̣awluthe wordلَدَيَّladayyawith Meوَمَآwa-maaaand notأَنَا۠ʹanaI Amبِظَلَّٰمٖbiz̤̣al-laamilunjustلِّلۡعَبِيدِlilʻAbeed.to My slaves٢٩
50:30يَوۡمَYawma(The) Dayنَقُولُnaq̣ooluWe will sayلِجَهَنَّمَli-Jahannamato HellهَلِhalimAreٱمۡتَلَأۡتِtalaʹtiyou filledوَتَقُولُwa-taq̣ooluAnd it will sayهَلۡhalAreمِنmim(there) anyمَّزِيدٖmazeed?more٣٠
50:31وَأُزۡلِفَتِWa-ʹuzlifatilAnd will be brought nearٱلۡجَنَّةُJannatuthe Paradiseلِلۡمُتَّقِينَlil-Muttaq̣eenato the righteousغَيۡرَg̣ayranotبَعِيدٍbaʻeed.far٣١
50:32هَٰذَاHaaẓaaThisمَاmaa-(is) whatتُوعَدُونَtooʻadoonayou were promisedلِكُلِّlikullifor everyoneأَوَّابٍʹawwaabinwho turnsحَفِيظٖḥafeez̤̣,―(and) who keeps٣٢
50:33مَّنۡManWhoخَشِيَkhashiyarfearedٱلرَّحۡمَٰنَRaḥmaanathe Most Graciousبِٱلۡغَيۡبِbilg̣aybiin the unseenوَجَآءَwa-jaaaʹaand cameبِقَلۡبٖbiq̣albimwith a heartمُّنِيبٍmuneeb:returning٣٣
50:34ٱدۡخُلُوهَاʹUdkhuloohaaEnter itبِسَلَٰمٖۖbi-Salaam;in peaceذَٰلِكَẓaalikaThatيَوۡمُYawmul(is) a DayٱلۡخُلُودِKhulood!(of) Eternity٣٤
50:35لَهُمLahumFor themمَّاmaawhateverيَشَآءُونَyashaaaʹoonathey wishفِيهَاfeehaathereinوَلَدَيۡنَاwa-Ladaynaaand with Usمَزِيدٞmazeed.(is) more٣٥
50:36وَكَمۡWa-kamAnd how manyأَهۡلَكۡنَاʹahlaknaaWe destroyedقَبۡلَهُمq̣ablahumbefore themمِّنmiñofقَرۡنٍq̣arnina generationهُمۡhumtheyأَشَدُّʹashaddu(were) strongerمِنۡهُمminhumthan themبَطۡشٗاbaṭshañ(in) powerفَنَقَّبُواْfanaq̣q̣abooso they exploredفِيfilthroughoutٱلۡبِلَٰدِbilaad?the landsهَلۡHalIs (there)مِنmimanyمَّحِيصٍmaḥeeṣ?place of escape٣٦
50:37إِنَّʹInnaIndeedفِيfeeinذَٰلِكَẓaalikathatلَذِكۡرَىٰla-Ẓikraasurely is a reminderلِمَنlimañfor (one) whoكَانَkaanais لَهُۥlahoofor himقَلۡبٌq̣albuna heartأَوۡʹaworأَلۡقَىʹalq̣as(who) gives earٱلسَّمۡعَsamʻa(who) gives earوَهُوَwa-huwawhile heشَهِيدٞshaheed.(is) a witness٣٧
50:38وَلَقَدۡWa-laq̣adAnd certainlyخَلَقۡنَاkhalaq̣nasWe createdٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِsamaawaatithe heavensوَٱلۡأَرۡضَwal-ʹarḍaand the earthوَمَاwa-maaand whateverبَيۡنَهُمَاbaynahumaa(is) between both of themفِيfeeinسِتَّةِSittatisixأَيَّامٖʹAyyaam;periodsوَمَاwa-maaand (did) notمَسَّنَاmassanaatouch Usمِنmilanyلُّغُوبٖlug̣oob.fatigue٣٨
50:39فَٱصۡبِرۡFaṣbirSo be patientعَلَىٰʻalaaoverمَاmaa-whatيَقُولُونَyaq̣ooloonathey sayوَسَبِّحۡwa-sabbiḥand glorifyبِحَمۡدِbi-Ḥamdi(the) praiseرَبِّكَRabbika(of) your Lordقَبۡلَq̣ablabeforeطُلُوعِṭulooʻish(the) risingٱلشَّمۡسِshamsi(of) the sunوَقَبۡلَwa-q̣ablaland beforeٱلۡغُرُوبِg̣uroob,―the setting٣٩
50:40وَمِنَWa-minalAnd ofٱلَّيۡلِlaylithe nightفَسَبِّحۡهُfasabbiḥhuglorify Himوَأَدۡبَٰرَwa-ʹadbaarasand afterٱلسُّجُودِsujood.the prostration٤٠
50:41وَٱسۡتَمِعۡWastamiʻAnd listenيَوۡمَYawma(The) Dayيُنَادِyunaadilwill callٱلۡمُنَادِMunaadithe callerمِنmimfromمَّكَانٖmakaaniña placeقَرِيبٖq̣areeb,―near٤١
50:42يَوۡمَYawma(The) Dayيَسۡمَعُونَyasmaʻoonaṣthey will hearٱلصَّيۡحَةَṢay-ḥatathe Blastبِٱلۡحَقِّۚbilḥaq̣q̣:in truthذَٰلِكَẓaalikaThatيَوۡمُYawmul(is the) DayٱلۡخُرُوجِKhurooj.(of) coming forth٤٢
50:43إِنَّاʹInnaaIndeed WeنَحۡنُNaḥnu[We]نُحۡيِۦnuḥyee[We] give lifeوَنُمِيتُwa-numeetuand [We] cause deathوَإِلَيۡنَاwa-ʹilaynaland to UsٱلۡمَصِيرُMaṣeer!(is) the final return٤٣
50:44يَوۡمَYawma(The) Dayتَشَقَّقُtashaq̣q̣aq̣ulwill splitٱلۡأَرۡضُʹarḍuthe earthعَنۡهُمۡʻanhumfrom themسِرَاعٗاۚsiraaʻaa:hurryingذَٰلِكَẓaalikaThatحَشۡرٌḥashrun(is) a gatheringعَلَيۡنَاʻalaynaafor Usيَسِيرٞyaseer.easy٤٤
50:45نَّحۡنُNaḥnuWeأَعۡلَمُʹaʻlamuknow bestبِمَاbimaa[of] whatيَقُولُونَۖyaq̣ooloonathey sayوَمَآwa-maaaand notأَنتَʹañta(are) youعَلَيۡهِمʻalayhim̃over themبِجَبَّارٖۖbijabbaar.the one to compelفَذَكِّرۡFaẓakkirBut remindبِٱلۡقُرۡءَانِbil-Q̣urʹaaniwith the QuranمَنmañywhoeverيَخَافُyakhaafufearsوَعِيدِWaʻeed!My threat٤٥
