حمٓ
Ḥaa-Meeem.
Ha Meem
١
43:2
وَٱلۡكِتَٰبِ
Wal-Kitaabil
By the Book
ٱلۡمُبِينِ
Mubeen,―
the clear
٢
43:3
إِنَّا
ʹInnaa
Indeed We
جَعَلۡنَٰهُ
jaʻalnaahu
(have) made it
قُرۡءَٰنًا
Q̣urʹaanan
a Quran
عَرَبِيّٗا
ʻArabiyyal
(in) Arabic
لَّعَلَّكُمۡ
laʻallakum
so that you may
تَعۡقِلُونَ
taʻq̣iloon.
understand
٣
43:4
وَإِنَّهُۥ
Wa-ʹinnahoo
And indeed it
فِيٓ
feee
(is) in
أُمِّ
ʹUmmil
(the) Mother
ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ
Kitaabi
(of) the Book
لَدَيۡنَا
ladaynaa
with Us
لَعَلِيٌّ
laʻaliyyun
surely exalted
حَكِيمٌ
Ḥakeem.
full of wisdom
٤
43:5
أَفَنَضۡرِبُ
ʹA-fanaḍribu
Then should We take away
عَنكُمُ
ʻañkumuẓ
from you
ٱلذِّكۡرَ
Ẓikra
the Reminder
صَفۡحًا
ṣafḥan
disregarding (you)
أَن
ʹañ
because
كُنتُمۡ
kuñtum
you are
قَوۡمٗا
q̣awmam
a people
مُّسۡرِفِينَ
musrifeen?
transgressing
٥
43:6
وَكَمۡ
Wa-kam
And how many
أَرۡسَلۡنَا
ʹarsalnaa
We sent
مِن
min
of
نَّبِيّٖ
nabiyyiñ
a Prophet
فِي
fil
among
ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ
ʹawwaleen?
the former (people)
٦
43:7
وَمَا
Wa-maa
And not
يَأۡتِيهِم
yaʹteehim
came to them
مِّن
min
any Prophet
نَّبِيٍّ
nabiyyin
any Prophet
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
but
كَانُواْ
kaanoo
they used to
بِهِۦ
bihee
mock at him
يَسۡتَهۡزِءُونَ
yastahziʹoon.
mock at him
٧
43:8
فَأَهۡلَكۡنَآ
Faʹahlaknaaa
Then We destroyed
أَشَدَّ
ʹashadda
stronger
مِنۡهُم
minhum̃
than them
بَطۡشٗا
baṭshañw
(in) power
وَمَضَىٰ
wamaḍaa
and has passed
مَثَلُ
Mas̤alul
(the) example
ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ
ʹawwaleen.
(of) the former (people)
٨
43:9
وَلَئِن
Wa-laʹiñ
And if
سَأَلۡتَهُم
saʹaltahum
you ask them
مَّنۡ
man
Who
خَلَقَ
khalaq̣as
created
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
samaawaati
the heavens
وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ
wal-ʹarḍa
and the earth
لَيَقُولُنَّ
layaq̣oolunna
They will surely say
خَلَقَهُنَّ
khalaq̣ahunnal
Created them
ٱلۡعَزِيزُ
ʻAzeezul
the All-Mighty
ٱلۡعَلِيمُ
ʻAleem;―
the All-Knower
٩
43:10
ٱلَّذِي
ʹAllaẓee
The One Who
جَعَلَ
jaʻala
made
لَكُمُ
lakumul
for you
ٱلۡأَرۡضَ
ʹarḍa
the earth
مَهۡدٗا
mahdañw
a bed
وَجَعَلَ
wajaʻala
and made
لَكُمۡ
lakum
for you
فِيهَا
feehaa
therein
سُبُلٗا
subulal
roads
لَّعَلَّكُمۡ
laʻallakum
so that you may
تَهۡتَدُونَ
tahtadoon;
(be) guided
١٠

43:11
وَٱلَّذِي
Wallaẓee
And the One Who
نَزَّلَ
nazzala
sends down
مِنَ
minas
from
ٱلسَّمَآءِ
samaaaʹi
the sky
مَآءَۢ
maaaʹam
water
بِقَدَرٖ
biq̣adar;―
in (due) measure
فَأَنشَرۡنَا
faʹañsharnaa
then We revive
بِهِۦ
bihee
with it
بَلۡدَةٗ
baldatam
a land
مَّيۡتٗاۚ
maytaa;
dead
كَذَٰلِكَ
kaẓaalika
thus
تُخۡرَجُونَ
tukhrajoon;―
you will be brought forth
١١
43:12
وَٱلَّذِي
Wallaẓee
And the One Who
خَلَقَ
khalaq̣al
created
ٱلۡأَزۡوَٰجَ
ʹazwaaja
the pairs
كُلَّهَا
kullahaa
all of them
وَجَعَلَ
wa-jaʻala
and made
لَكُم
lakum
for you
مِّنَ
minal
[of]
ٱلۡفُلۡكِ
fulki
the ships
وَٱلۡأَنۡعَٰمِ
wal-ʹanʻaami
and the cattle
مَا
maa-
what
تَرۡكَبُونَ
tarkaboon.
you ride
١٢
43:13
لِتَسۡتَوُۥاْ
Litastawoo
That you may sit firmly
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
on
ظُهُورِهِۦ
z̤̣uhoorihee
their backs
ثُمَّ
s̤umma
then
تَذۡكُرُواْ
taẓkuroo
remember
نِعۡمَةَ
niʻmata
(the) favor
رَبِّكُمۡ
Rabbikum
(of) your Lord
إِذَا
ʹiẓas
when
ٱسۡتَوَيۡتُمۡ
tawaytum
you sit firmly
عَلَيۡهِ
ʻalayhi
on them
وَتَقُولُواْ
wa-taq̣ooloo
and say
سُبۡحَٰنَ
ʻʻSubḥaanal
Glory be (to)
ٱلَّذِي
laẓee
the One Who
سَخَّرَ
sakhkhara
(has) subjected
لَنَا
lanaa
to us
هَٰذَا
haaẓaa
this
وَمَا
wa-maa
and not
كُنَّا
kunnaa
we were
لَهُۥ
lahoo
of it
مُقۡرِنِينَ
muq̣rineen.
capable
١٣
43:14
وَإِنَّآ
Wa-ʹinnaaa
And indeed we
إِلَىٰ
ʹilaa
to
رَبِّنَا
Rabbinaa
our Lord
لَمُنقَلِبُونَ
lamuñq̣aliboon!ʹʹ
will surely return
١٤
43:15
وَجَعَلُواْ
Wa-jaʻaloo
But they attribute
لَهُۥ
lahoo
to Him
مِنۡ
min
from
عِبَادِهِۦ
ʻibaadihee
His slaves
جُزۡءًاۚ
juzʹaa!
a portion
إِنَّ
ʹInnal
Indeed
ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ
ʹiñsaana
man
لَكَفُورٞ
lakafoorum
surely (is) clearly ungrateful
مُّبِينٌ
mubeen!
surely (is) clearly ungrateful
١٥
43:16
أَمِ
ʹAmit
Or
ٱتَّخَذَ
takhaẓa
has He taken
مِمَّا
mimmaa
of what
يَخۡلُقُ
yakhluq̣u
He has created
بَنَاتٖ
banaatiñw
daughters
وَأَصۡفَىٰكُم
waʹaṣfaakum
and He has chosen (for) you
بِٱلۡبَنِينَ
bilbaneen?
sons
١٦
43:17
وَإِذَا
Wa-ʹiẓaa
And when
بُشِّرَ
bushshira
is given good news
أَحَدُهُم
ʹaḥaduhum̃
(to) one of them
بِمَا
bimaa
of what
ضَرَبَ
ḍaraba
he sets up
لِلرَّحۡمَٰنِ
lir-Raḥmaani
for the Most Gracious
مَثَلٗا
mas̤alañ
(as) a likeness
ظَلَّ
z̤̣alla
becomes
وَجۡهُهُۥ
wajhuhoo
his face
مُسۡوَدّٗا
muswaddañw
dark
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
and he
كَظِيمٌ
kaz̤̣eem!
(is) filled with grief
١٧
43:18
أَوَمَن
ʹA-wamañy
Then (is one) who
يُنَشَّؤُاْ
yunashshaʹu
is brought up
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡحِلۡيَةِ
ḥilyati
ornaments
وَهُوَ
wa-huwa
and he
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡخِصَامِ
khiṣaami
the dispute
غَيۡرُ
g̣ayru
(is) not
مُبِينٖ
mubeen?
clear
١٨
43:19
وَجَعَلُواْ
Wa-jaʻalul
And they made
ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةَ
malaaaʹikatal
the Angels
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
هُمۡ
hum
themselves
عِبَٰدُ
ʻibaadur
(are) slaves
ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ
Raḥmaani
(of) the Most Gracious
إِنَٰثًاۚ
ʹinaas̤aa.
females
أَشَهِدُواْ
ʹA-shahidoo
Did they witness
خَلۡقَهُمۡۚ
khalq̣ahum?
their creation
سَتُكۡتَبُ
Satuktabu
Will be recorded
شَهَٰدَتُهُمۡ
shahaadatuhum
their testimony
وَيُسۡـَٔلُونَ
wa-yusʹaloon!
and they will be questioned
١٩
43:20
وَقَالُواْ
Wa-q̣aaloo
And they say
لَوۡ
law
If
شَآءَ
shaaaʹar
had willed
ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنُ
Raḥmaanu
the Most Gracious
مَا
Maa-
we would not have worshipped them
عَبَدۡنَٰهُمۗ
ʻabadnaahum!
we would not have worshipped them
مَّا
maa-
Not
لَهُم
lahum̃
they have
بِذَٰلِكَ
biẓaalika
about that
مِنۡ
min
any
عِلۡمٍۖ
ʻilm!
knowledge
إِنۡ
ʹIn
Nothing
هُمۡ
hum
they (do)
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
but
يَخۡرُصُونَ
yakhruṣoon!
lie
٢٠
43:21
أَمۡ
ʹAm
Or
ءَاتَيۡنَٰهُمۡ
ʹaataynaahum
have We given them
كِتَٰبٗا
Kitaabam
a book
مِّن
miñ
before it
قَبۡلِهِۦ
q̣ablihee
before it
فَهُم
fahum̃
so they
بِهِۦ
bihee
to it
مُسۡتَمۡسِكُونَ
mustamsikoon?
(are) holding fast
٢١
43:22
بَلۡ
Bal
Nay
قَالُوٓاْ
q̣aalooo
they say
إِنَّا
ʹinnaa
Indeed we
وَجَدۡنَآ
wajadnaaa
[we] found
ءَابَآءَنَا
ʹaabaaaʹanaa
our forefathers
عَلَىٰٓ
ʻalaaa
upon
أُمَّةٖ
ʹummatiñw
a religion
وَإِنَّا
Waʹinnaa
and indeed we
عَلَىٰٓ
ʻalaaa
on
ءَاثَٰرِهِم
ʹaas̤aarihim
their footsteps
مُّهۡتَدُونَ
muhtadoon.
(are) guided
٢٢

وَكَذَٰلِكَ
Wa-kaẓaalika
And thus
مَآ
maaa
not
أَرۡسَلۡنَا
ʹarsalnaa
We sent
مِن
miñ
before you
قَبۡلِكَ
q̣ablika
before you
فِي
fee
in
قَرۡيَةٖ
q̣aryatim
a town
مِّن
min
any
نَّذِيرٍ
Naẓeerin
warner
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
except
قَالَ
q̣aala
said
مُتۡرَفُوهَآ
mutrafoohaaa
(the) wealthy ones of it
إِنَّا
ʹinnaa
Indeed we
وَجَدۡنَآ
wajadnaaa
[we] found
ءَابَآءَنَا
ʹaabaaaʹanaa
our forefathers
عَلَىٰٓ
ʻalaaa
on
أُمَّةٖ
ʹummatiñw
a religion
وَإِنَّا
waʹinnaa
and indeed we
عَلَىٰٓ
ʻalaaa
[on]
ءَاثَٰرِهِم
ʹaas̤aarihim
their footsteps
مُّقۡتَدُونَ
muq̣tadoon.
(are) following
٢٣
43:24
۞قَٰلَ
Q̣aala
He said
أَوَلَوۡ
ʹa-wa law
Even if
جِئۡتُكُم
jiʹtukum̃
I brought you
بِأَهۡدَىٰ
biʹahdaa
better guidance
مِمَّا
mimmaa
than what
وَجَدتُّمۡ
wajattum
you found
عَلَيۡهِ
ʻalayhi
on it
ءَابَآءَكُمۡۖ
ʹaabaaaʹakum?
your forefathers
قَالُوٓاْ
Q̣aalooo
They said
إِنَّا
ʹinnaa
Indeed we
بِمَآ
bimaaa
with what
أُرۡسِلۡتُم
ʹursiltum̃
you are sent
بِهِۦ
bihee
with [it]
كَٰفِرُونَ
kaafiroon.
(are) disbelievers
٢٤
43:25
فَٱنتَقَمۡنَا
Fañtaq̣amnaa
So We took retribution
مِنۡهُمۡۖ
minhum
from them
فَٱنظُرۡ
fañz̤̣ur
Then see
كَيۡفَ
kayfa
how
كَانَ
kaana
was
عَٰقِبَةُ
ʻaaq̣ibatul
(the) end
ٱلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ
mukaẓẓibeen!
(of) the deniers
٢٥
43:26
وَإِذۡ
Wa-ʹiẓ
And when
قَالَ
q̣aala
Ibrahim Said
إِبۡرَٰهِيمُ
ʹIbraaheemu
Ibrahim Said
لِأَبِيهِ
liʹabeehi
to his father
وَقَوۡمِهِۦٓ
wa-q̣awmiheee
and his people
إِنَّنِي
ʹinnanee
Indeed I (am)
بَرَآءٞ
baraaaʹum
disassociated
مِّمَّا
mimmaa
from what
تَعۡبُدُونَ
taʻbudoon:
you worship
٢٦
43:27
إِلَّا
ʹIllal
Except
ٱلَّذِي
laẓee
the One Who
فَطَرَنِي
faṭaranee
created me
فَإِنَّهُۥ
faʹinnahoo
and indeed He
سَيَهۡدِينِ
sayahdeen.
will guide me
٢٧
43:28
وَجَعَلَهَا
Wa-jaʻalahaa
And he made it
كَلِمَةَۢ
Kalimatam
a word
بَاقِيَةٗ
baaq̣iyatañ
lasting
فِي
fee
among
عَقِبِهِۦ
ʻaq̣ibihee
his descendents
لَعَلَّهُمۡ
laʻallahum
so that they may
يَرۡجِعُونَ
yarjiʻoon.
return
٢٨
43:29
بَلۡ
Bal
Nay
مَتَّعۡتُ
mattaʻtu
I gave enjoyment
هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ
haaaʹulaaaʹi
(to) these
وَءَابَآءَهُمۡ
wa-ʹaabaaaʹahum
and their forefathers
حَتَّىٰ
ḥattaa
until
جَآءَهُمُ
jaaaʹahumul
came to them
ٱلۡحَقُّ
Ḥaq̣q̣u
the truth
وَرَسُولٞ
wa-Rasoolum
and a Messenger
مُّبِينٞ
mubeen.

٢٩
43:30
وَلَمَّا
Wa-lammaa
And when
جَآءَهُمُ
jaaaʹahumul
came to them
ٱلۡحَقُّ
Ḥaq̣q̣u
the truth
قَالُواْ
q̣aaloo
they said
هَٰذَا
haaẓaa
This
سِحۡرٞ
siḥruñw
(is) magic
وَإِنَّا
waʹinnaa
and indeed we
بِهِۦ
bihee
of it
كَٰفِرُونَ
kaafiroon.
(are) disbelievers
٣٠
43:31
وَقَالُواْ
Waq̣aaloo
And they say
لَوۡلَا
Law-laa
Why not
نُزِّلَ
nuzzila
was sent down
هَٰذَا
haaẓal
this
ٱلۡقُرۡءَانُ
Q̣urʹaanu
the Quran
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
to
رَجُلٖ
rajulim
a man
مِّنَ
minal
from
ٱلۡقَرۡيَتَيۡنِ
q̣aryatayni
the two towns
عَظِيمٍ
ʻaz̤̣eem?
great
٣١
43:32
أَهُمۡ
ʹAhum
Do they
يَقۡسِمُونَ
yaq̣simoona
distribute
رَحۡمَتَ
Raḥmata
(the) Mercy
رَبِّكَۚ
Rabbik?
(of) your Lord
نَحۡنُ
Naḥnu
We
قَسَمۡنَا
q̣asamnaa
[We] distribute
بَيۡنَهُم
baynahum
among them
مَّعِيشَتَهُمۡ
maʻeeshatahum
their livelihood
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ
ḥayaatid
the life
ٱلدُّنۡيَاۚ
dunyaa
(of) the world
وَرَفَعۡنَا
wa-rafaʻnaa
and We raise
بَعۡضَهُمۡ
baʻḍahum
some of them
فَوۡقَ
fawq̣a
above
بَعۡضٖ
baʻḍiñ
others
دَرَجَٰتٖ
darajaatil
(in) degrees
لِّيَتَّخِذَ
liyattakhiẓa
so that may take
بَعۡضُهُم
baʻḍuhum̃
some of them
بَعۡضٗا
baʻḍañ
others
سُخۡرِيّٗاۗ
sukhriyyaa.
(for) service
وَرَحۡمَتُ
Wa-Raḥmatu
But (the) Mercy
رَبِّكَ
Rabbika
(of) your Lord
خَيۡرٞ
khayrum
(is) better
مِّمَّا
mimmaa
than what
يَجۡمَعُونَ
yajmaʻoon.
they accumulate
٣٢
43:33
وَلَوۡلَآ
Wa-lawlaaa
And if not
أَن
ʹañy
that
يَكُونَ
yakoonan
(would) become
ٱلنَّاسُ
naasu
[the] mankind
أُمَّةٗ
ʹummatañw
a community
وَٰحِدَةٗ
waaḥidatal
one
لَّجَعَلۡنَا
lajaʻalnaa
We (would have) made
لِمَن
limañy
for (one) who
يَكۡفُرُ
yakfuru
disbelieves
بِٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ
bir-Raḥmaani
in the Most Gracious
لِبُيُوتِهِمۡ
libuyootihim
for their houses
سُقُفٗا
suq̣ufam
roofs
مِّن
miñ
of
فِضَّةٖ
fiḍḍatiñw
silver
وَمَعَارِجَ
wamaʻaarija
and stairways
عَلَيۡهَا
ʻalayhaa
upon which
يَظۡهَرُونَ
yaz̤̣haroon,
they mount
٣٣

وَلِبُيُوتِهِمۡ
Wa-li-buyootihim
And for their houses
أَبۡوَٰبٗا
ʹabwaabañw
doors
وَسُرُرًا
Wasururan
and couches
عَلَيۡهَا
ʻalayhaa
upon which
يَتَّكِـُٔونَ
yattakiʹoon,
they recline
٣٤
43:35
وَزُخۡرُفٗاۚ
Wa-ZUKHRUFAA.
And ornaments of gold
وَإِن
Wa-ʹiñ
And not (is)
كُلُّ
kullu
all
ذَٰلِكَ
ẓaalika
that
لَمَّا
lammaa
but
مَتَٰعُ
mataaʻul
an enjoyment
ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ
ḥayaatid
(of) the life
ٱلدُّنۡيَاۚ
dunyaa:
(of) the world
وَٱلۡأٓخِرَةُ
wal-ʹAakhiratu
And the Hereafter
عِندَ
ʻiñda
with
رَبِّكَ
Rabbika
your Lord
لِلۡمُتَّقِينَ
lil-Muttaq̣een.
(is) for the righteous
٣٥
43:36
وَمَن
Wa-mañy
And whoever
يَعۡشُ
yaʻshu
turns away
عَن
ʻañ
from
ذِكۡرِ
ẓikrir
(the) remembrance
ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ
Raḥmaani
(of) the Most Gracious
نُقَيِّضۡ
nuq̣ayyiḍ
We appoint
لَهُۥ
lahoo
for him
شَيۡطَٰنٗا
shayṭaanañ
a devil
فَهُوَ
fahuwa
then he
لَهُۥ
lahoo
(is) to him
قَرِينٞ
q̣areen.
a companion
٣٦
43:37
وَإِنَّهُمۡ
Wa-ʹinnahum
And indeed they
لَيَصُدُّونَهُمۡ
layaṣuddoonahum
surely turn them
عَنِ
ʻanis
from
ٱلسَّبِيلِ
sabeeli
the Path
وَيَحۡسَبُونَ
wa-yaḥsaboona
and they think
أَنَّهُم
ʹannahum
that they
مُّهۡتَدُونَ
muhtadoon!
(are) guided
٣٧
43:38
حَتَّىٰٓ
Ḥattaaa
Until
إِذَا
ʹiẓaa
when
جَآءَنَا
jaaaʹanaa
he comes to Us
قَالَ
q̣aala
he says
يَٰلَيۡتَ
yaa-layta
O would that
بَيۡنِي
baynee
between me
وَبَيۡنَكَ
wa-baynaka
and between you
بُعۡدَ
buʻdal
(were the) distance
ٱلۡمَشۡرِقَيۡنِ
Mashriq̣ayni
(of) the East and the West
فَبِئۡسَ
fabiʹsal
How wretched is
ٱلۡقَرِينُ
q̣areen!
the companion
٣٨
43:39
وَلَن
Wa-lañy
And never
يَنفَعَكُمُ
yañfaʻakumul
will benefit you
ٱلۡيَوۡمَ
yawma
the Day
إِذ
ʹiz̤̣
when
ظَّلَمۡتُمۡ
z̤̣alamtum
you have wronged
أَنَّكُمۡ
ʹannakum
that you
فِي
fil
(will be) in
ٱلۡعَذَابِ
ʻaẓaabi
the punishment
مُشۡتَرِكُونَ
mushtarikoon!
sharing
٣٩
43:40
أَفَأَنتَ
ʹA-faʹañta
Then can you
تُسۡمِعُ
tusmiʻuṣ
cause to hear
ٱلصُّمَّ
ṣumma
the deaf
أَوۡ
ʹaw
or
تَهۡدِي
tahdil
guide
ٱلۡعُمۡيَ
ʻumya
the blind
وَمَن
wa-mañ
and (one) who
كَانَ
kaana
is
فِي
fee
in
ضَلَٰلٖ
ḍalaalim
an error
مُّبِينٖ
mubeen?
clear
٤٠
43:41
فَإِمَّا
Faʹimmaa
And whether
نَذۡهَبَنَّ
naẓhabanna
We take you away
بِكَ
bika
We take you away
فَإِنَّا
faʹinnaa
then indeed We
مِنۡهُم
minhum
from them
مُّنتَقِمُونَ
muñtaq̣imoon,
(will) take retribution
٤١
43:42
أَوۡ
ʹAw
Or
نُرِيَنَّكَ
nuriyannakal
We show you
ٱلَّذِي
laẓee
that which
وَعَدۡنَٰهُمۡ
waʻadnaahum
We have promised them
فَإِنَّا
faʹinnaa
then indeed We
عَلَيۡهِم
ʻalayhim
over them
مُّقۡتَدِرُونَ
muq̣tadiroon.
have full power
٤٢
43:43
فَٱسۡتَمۡسِكۡ
Fastamsik
So hold fast
بِٱلَّذِيٓ
billaẓeee
to that which
أُوحِيَ
ʹooḥiya
is revealed
إِلَيۡكَۖ
ʹilayk:
to you
إِنَّكَ
ʹinnaka
Indeed you
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
(are) on
صِرَٰطٖ
Ṣiraaṭim
a Path
مُّسۡتَقِيمٖ
Mustaq̣eem.
Straight
٤٣
43:44
وَإِنَّهُۥ
Wa-ʹinnahoo
And indeed it
لَذِكۡرٞ
la-Ẓikrul
(is) surely a Reminder
لَّكَ
laka
for you
وَلِقَوۡمِكَۖ
wa-liq̣awmik;
and your people
وَسَوۡفَ
wa-sawfa
and soon
تُسۡـَٔلُونَ
tusʹaloon.
you will be questioned
٤٤
43:45
وَسۡـَٔلۡ
Wasʹal
And ask
مَنۡ
man
(those) whom
أَرۡسَلۡنَا
ʹarsalnaa
We sent
مِن
miñ
before you
قَبۡلِكَ
q̣ablika
before you
مِن
mir
of
رُّسُلِنَآ
rusulinaaa
Our Messengers
أَجَعَلۡنَا
ʹajaʻalnaa
did We make
مِن
miñ
besides
دُونِ
doonir
besides
ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ
Raḥmaani
the Most Gracious
ءَالِهَةٗ
ʹaalihatañy
gods
يُعۡبَدُونَ
yuʻbadoon?
to be worshipped
٤٥
43:46
وَلَقَدۡ
Wa-laq̣ad
And certainly
أَرۡسَلۡنَا
ʹarsalnaa
We sent
مُوسَىٰ
Moosaa
Musa
بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ
biʹAayaatinaaa
with Our Signs
إِلَىٰ
ʹilaa
to
فِرۡعَوۡنَ
Firʻawna
Firaun
وَمَلَإِيْهِۦ
wa-malaʹihee
and his chiefs
فَقَالَ
faq̣aala
and he said
إِنِّي
ʹinnee
Indeed I am
رَسُولُ
Rasoolu
a Messenger
رَبِّ
Rabbil
(of the) Lord
ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
ʻAalameen.
(of) the worlds
٤٦
43:47
فَلَمَّا
Falammaa
But when
جَآءَهُم
jaaaʹahum̃
he came to them
بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ
biʹAayaatinaaa
with Our Signs
إِذَا
ʹiẓaa
behold
هُم
hum
They
مِّنۡهَا
minhaa
at them
يَضۡحَكُونَ
yaḍḥakoon.
laughed

43:48
وَمَا
Wa-maa
And not
نُرِيهِم
nureehim
We showed them
مِّنۡ
min
of
ءَايَةٍ
ʹaayatin
a Sign
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
but
هِيَ
hiya
it
أَكۡبَرُ
ʹakbaru
(was) greater
مِنۡ
min
than
أُخۡتِهَاۖ
ʹukhtihaa,
its sister
وَأَخَذۡنَٰهُم
wa-ʹakhaẓnaahum̃
and We seized them
بِٱلۡعَذَابِ
bilʻaẓaabi
with the punishment
لَعَلَّهُمۡ
laʻallahum
so that they may
يَرۡجِعُونَ
yarjiʻoon.

43:49
وَقَالُواْ
Wa-q̣aaloo
And they said
يَٰٓأَيُّهَ
yaaaʹayyuhas
O
ٱلسَّاحِرُ
saaḥirud
[the] magician
ٱدۡعُ
ʹu
Invoke
لَنَا
lanaa
for us
رَبَّكَ
Rabbaka
your Lord
بِمَا
bimaa
by what
عَهِدَ
ʻahida
He has made covenant
عِندَكَ
ʻiñdak;
with you
إِنَّنَا
ʹinnanaa
Indeed we
لَمُهۡتَدُونَ
lamuhtadoon.
(will) surely be guided
٤٩
43:50
فَلَمَّا
Falammaa
But when
كَشَفۡنَا
kashafnaa
We removed
عَنۡهُمُ
ʻanhumul
from them
ٱلۡعَذَابَ
ʻaẓaaba
the punishment
إِذَا
ʹiẓaa
behold
هُمۡ
hum
They
يَنكُثُونَ
yañkus̤oon.
broke (their word)
