37:5رَّبُّRabbusLordٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِsamaawaati(of) the heavensوَٱلۡأَرۡضِwal-ʹarḍiand the earthوَمَاwa-maaand whatبَيۡنَهُمَاbaynahumaa(is) between both of themوَرَبُّwa-Rabbuland Lordٱلۡمَشَٰرِقِmashaariq̣!(of) each point of sunrise٥
37:6إِنَّاʹInnaaIndeed Weزَيَّنَّاzayyannas[We] adornedٱلسَّمَآءَsamaaathe skyٱلدُّنۡيَاʹad-dunyaa[the world]بِزِينَةٍbizeenatinilwith an adornmentٱلۡكَوَاكِبِkawaakib,―(of) the stars٦
37:7وَحِفۡظٗاWa-ḥifz̤̣amAnd (to) guardمِّنmiñagainstكُلِّkullieveryشَيۡطَٰنٖShayṭaanimdevilمَّارِدٖmaarid,rebellious٧
37:8لَّاLaa-Notيَسَّمَّعُونَyassammaʻoonathey may listenإِلَىʹilaltoٱلۡمَلَإِMalaʹilthe assemblyٱلۡأَعۡلَىٰʹAʻlaa[the] exaltedوَيُقۡذَفُونَwa-yuq̣ẓafoonaare peltedمِنmiñfromكُلِّkullieveryجَانِبٖjaanib,side٨
37:9دُحُورٗاۖDuḥoorañwRepelledوَلَهُمۡWalahumand for themعَذَابٞʻaẓaabuñw(is) a punishmentوَاصِبٌwaaṣib,perpetual٩
37:10إِلَّاʹIllaaExceptمَنۡman(him) whoخَطِفَkhaṭifalsnatchesٱلۡخَطۡفَةَkhaṭfata(by) theftفَأَتۡبَعَهُۥfaʹatbaʻahoobut follows himشِهَابٞshihaabuña burning flameثَاقِبٞs̤aaq̣ib.piercing١٠
37:11فَٱسۡتَفۡتِهِمۡFastaftihimThen ask themأَهُمۡʹahumAre theyأَشَدُّʹashaddua strongerخَلۡقًاkhalq̣ancreationأَمʹamorمَّنۡman(those) whomخَلَقۡنَآۚkhalaq̣naa?We have createdإِنَّاʹInnaaIndeed Weخَلَقۡنَٰهُمkhalaq̣naahumcreated themمِّنmiñfromطِينٖṭeenila clayلَّازِبِۭlaazib!sticky١١
37:13وَإِذَاWa-ʹiẓaaAnd whenذُكِّرُواْẓukkiroothey are remindedلَاlaa-notيَذۡكُرُونَyaẓkuroon,―they receive admonition١٣
37:14وَإِذَاWa-ʹiẓaaAnd whenرَأَوۡاْraʹawthey seeءَايَةٗʹaayataña Signيَسۡتَسۡخِرُونَyastaskhiroon.they mock١٤
37:15وَقَالُوٓاْWa-q̣aaloooAnd they sayإِنۡʹinNotهَٰذَآhaaẓaaa(is) thisإِلَّاʹillaaexceptسِحۡرٞsiḥruma magicمُّبِينٌmubeen!clear١٥
37:16أَءِذَاʹA-ʹiẓaaIs it whenمِتۡنَاmitnaawe are deadوَكُنَّاwa-kunnaaand have becomeتُرَابٗاturabañwdustوَعِظَٰمًاwaʻiz̤̣aamanand bonesأَءِنَّاʹa-ʹinnaashall we thenلَمَبۡعُوثُونَlamabʻoos̤oon.be certainly resurrected١٦
37:19فَإِنَّمَاFaʹinnamaaThen onlyهِيَhiyaitزَجۡرَةٞzajratuñw(will be) a cryوَٰحِدَةٞwaaḥidatuñsingleفَإِذَاfaʹiẓaathen beholdهُمۡhumTheyيَنظُرُونَyañz̤̣uroon!will see١٩
37:20وَقَالُواْWa-q̣aalooAnd they will sayيَٰوَيۡلَنَاyaa-waylanaaO woe to usهَٰذَاhaaẓaaThisيَوۡمُYawmud(is the) Dayٱلدِّينِdeen!(of) the Recompense٢٠
37:21هَٰذَاHaaẓaaThisيَوۡمُYawmul(is the) DayٱلۡفَصۡلِFaṣlil(of) Judgmentٱلَّذِيlaẓeewhichكُنتُمkuñtum̃you used toبِهِۦbihee[of it]تُكَذِّبُونَtukaẓẓiboon!deny٢١
37:22۞ٱحۡشُرُواْʹUḥshurulGatherٱلَّذِينَlaẓeenathose whoظَلَمُواْz̤̣alamoowrongedوَأَزۡوَٰجَهُمۡwa-ʹazwaajahumand their kindsوَمَاwa-maaand whatكَانُواْkaanoothey used (to)يَعۡبُدُونَyaʻbudoon.worship٢٢
37:23مِنMiñBesidesدُونِdoonilBesidesٱللَّهِlaahiAllahفَٱهۡدُوهُمۡfahdoohumthen lead themإِلَىٰʹilaatoصِرَٰطِṢiraaṭil(the) PathٱلۡجَحِيمِJaḥeem!(of) the Hellfire٢٣
37:24وَقِفُوهُمۡۖWaq̣ifoohumAnd stop themإِنَّهُمʹinnahumindeed theyمَّسۡـُٔولُونَmasʹooloon:(are) to be questioned٢٤
37:25مَاMaa-Whatلَكُمۡlakum(is) for youلَاlaa-(Why) notتَنَاصَرُونَtanaaṣaroon?you help one another٢٥
37:26بَلۡBalNayهُمُhumultheyٱلۡيَوۡمَyawma(on) that Dayمُسۡتَسۡلِمُونَmustaslimoon;(will) surrender٢٦
37:27وَأَقۡبَلَWa-ʹaq̣balaAnd will approachبَعۡضُهُمۡbaʻḍuhumsome of themعَلَىٰʻalaatoبَعۡضٖbaʻḍiñyothersيَتَسَآءَلُونَyatasaaaʹaloon.questioning one another٢٧
37:28قَالُوٓاْQ̣aaloooThey will sayإِنَّكُمۡʹinnakumIndeed youكُنتُمۡkuñtum[you] used (to)تَأۡتُونَنَاtaʹtoonanaacome (to) usعَنِʻanilfromٱلۡيَمِينِyameen!the right٢٨
37:29قَالُواْQ̣aalooThey will sayبَلbalNayلَّمۡlamnotتَكُونُواْtakoonooyou wereمُؤۡمِنِينَMuʹmineen!believers٢٩
37:30وَمَاWa-maaAnd notكَانَkaanawasلَنَاlanaafor usعَلَيۡكُمʻalaykumover youمِّنmiñanyسُلۡطَٰنِۭۖsulṭaan.authorityبَلۡBalNayكُنتُمۡkuñtumyou wereقَوۡمٗاq̣awmaña peopleطَٰغِينَṭaag̣een!transgressing٣٠
37:31فَحَقَّFaḥaq̣q̣aSo has been proved trueعَلَيۡنَاʻalaynaaagainst usقَوۡلُQ̣awlu(the) WordرَبِّنَآۖRabbinaaa(of) our Lordإِنَّاʹinnaaindeed weلَذَآئِقُونَlaẓaaaʹiq̣oon.(will) certainly taste٣١
37:32فَأَغۡوَيۡنَٰكُمۡFaʹag̣waynaakumSo we led you astrayإِنَّاʹinnaaindeed weكُنَّاkunnaawereغَٰوِينَg̣aaween.astray٣٢
37:33فَإِنَّهُمۡFaʹinnahumThen indeed theyيَوۡمَئِذٖYawmaʹiẓiñthat DayفِيfilinٱلۡعَذَابِʻAẓaabithe punishmentمُشۡتَرِكُونَmushtarikoon.(will be) sharers٣٣
37:34إِنَّاʹInnaaIndeed WeكَذَٰلِكَkaẓaalikathusنَفۡعَلُnafʻaluWe dealبِٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَbil-mujrimeen.with the criminals٣٤
37:35إِنَّهُمۡʹInnahumIndeed theyكَانُوٓاْkaanooowereإِذَاʹiẓaawhenقِيلَq̣eelait was saidلَهُمۡlahumto themلَآ˹Laaa(There is) noإِلَٰهَʹilaahagodإِلَّاʹillalexceptٱللَّهُlaahu˺Allahيَسۡتَكۡبِرُونَyastakbiroon,were arrogant٣٥
37:36وَيَقُولُونَWa-yaq̣ooloonaAnd they sayأَئِنَّاʹaʹinnaaAre weلَتَارِكُوٓاْlataarikoooto leaveءَالِهَتِنَاʹaalihatinaaour godsلِشَاعِرٖlishaaʻirimfor a poetمَّجۡنُونِۭmajnoon?mad٣٦
37:37بَلۡBalNayجَآءَjaaaʹahe has broughtبِٱلۡحَقِّbil-Ḥaq̣q̣ithe truthوَصَدَّقَwa-ṣaddaq̣aland confirmedٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَmursaleen.the Messengers٣٧
37:38إِنَّكُمۡʹInnakumIndeed youلَذَآئِقُواْlaẓaaaʹiq̣ul(will) surely tasteٱلۡعَذَابِʻAẓaabilthe punishmentٱلۡأَلِيمِʹAleem;painful٣٨
37:39وَمَاWa-maaAnd notتُجۡزَوۡنَtujzawnayou will be recompensedإِلَّاʹillaaexceptمَاmaa-whatكُنتُمۡkuñtumyou used toتَعۡمَلُونَtaʻmaloon;do٣٩
37:40إِلَّاʹIllaaExceptعِبَادَʻibaadal(the) slavesٱللَّهِlaahil(of) Allahٱلۡمُخۡلَصِينَmukhlaṣeen.the chosen ones٤٠
37:41أُوْلَٰٓئِكَʹUlaaaʹikaThoseلَهُمۡlahumfor themرِزۡقٞRizq̣um(will be) a provisionمَّعۡلُومٞmaʻloom,determined٤١
37:45يُطَافُYuṭaafuWill be circulatedعَلَيۡهِمʻalayhim̃among themبِكَأۡسٖbikaʹsima cupمِّنmimfromمَّعِينِۭmaʻeen,a flowing spring٤٥
37:46بَيۡضَآءَBayḍaaaʹaWhiteلَذَّةٖlaẓẓatillishdeliciousلِّلشَّٰرِبِينَshaaribeen,for the drinkers٤٦
37:47لَاLaa-Notفِيهَاfeehaain itغَوۡلٞg̣awluñw(is) bad effectوَلَاwalaaand notهُمۡhumtheyعَنۡهَاʻanhaafrom itيُنزَفُونَyuñzafoon.will be intoxicated٤٧
37:48وَعِندَهُمۡWa-ʻiñdahumAnd with themقَٰصِرَٰتُq̣aaṣiraatuṭ(will be) companions of modest gazeٱلطَّرۡفِṭarfi(will be) companions of modest gazeعِينٞʻeen,(having) beautiful eyes٤٨
37:50فَأَقۡبَلَFaʹaq̣balaAnd (will) approachبَعۡضُهُمۡbaʻḍuhumsome of themعَلَىٰʻalaatoبَعۡضٖbaʻḍiñyothersيَتَسَآءَلُونَyatasaaaʹaloon.questioning one another٥٠
