27:1
طسٓۚ
Ṭaa-Seeen.
Ta Seen
تِلۡكَ
Tilka
These
ءَايَٰتُ
ʹAayaatul
(are the) Verses
ٱلۡقُرۡءَانِ
Q̣ur-ʹaani
(of) the Quran
وَكِتَابٖ
wa-kitaabim
and a Book
مُّبِينٍ
mubeen;
clear
١
27:2
هُدٗى
Hudañw
A guidance
وَبُشۡرَىٰ
Wa-Bushraa
and glad tidings
لِلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ
lil-Muʹmineen,
for the believers
٢
27:3
ٱلَّذِينَ
ʹAllaẓeena
Those who
يُقِيمُونَ
yuq̣eemoonaṣ
establish
ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ
Ṣalaata
the prayer
وَيُؤۡتُونَ
wa-yuʹtoonaz
and give
ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ
Zakaata
zakah
وَهُم
wa-hum̃
and they
بِٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ
bil-ʹAakhirati
in the Hereafter
هُمۡ
hum
[they]
يُوقِنُونَ
yooq̣inoon.
believe with certainty
٣
27:4
إِنَّ
ʹInnal
Indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
لَا
laa-
(do) not
يُؤۡمِنُونَ
yuʹminoona
believe
بِٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ
bil-ʹAakhirati
in the Hereafter
زَيَّنَّا
Zayyannaa
We have made fair-seeming
لَهُمۡ
lahum
to them
أَعۡمَٰلَهُمۡ
ʹaʻmaalahum
their deeds
فَهُمۡ
fahum
so they
يَعۡمَهُونَ
yaʻmahoon.
wander blindly
٤
27:5
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
ʹUlaaaʹikal
Those
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
(are) the ones
لَهُمۡ
lahum
for them
سُوٓءُ
soooʹul
(is) an evil
ٱلۡعَذَابِ
ʻaẓaabi
[the] punishment
وَهُمۡ
wa-hum
and they
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ
ʹAakhirati
the Hereafter
هُمُ
humul
[they]
ٱلۡأَخۡسَرُونَ
ʹakhsaroon.
(will be) the greatest losers
٥
27:6
وَإِنَّكَ
Wa-ʹinnaka
And indeed you
لَتُلَقَّى
latulaq̣q̣al
surely receive
ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ
Q̣ur-ʹaana
the Quran
مِن
mil
from [near]
لَّدُنۡ
ladun
from [near]
حَكِيمٍ
Ḥakeemin
the All-Wise
عَلِيمٍ
ʻAleem.
the All-Knower
٦
27:7
إِذۡ
ʹIẓ
When
قَالَ
q̣aala
said
مُوسَىٰ
Moosaa
Musa
لِأَهۡلِهِۦٓ
liʹahliheee
to his family
إِنِّيٓ
ʹinneee
Indeed I
ءَانَسۡتُ
ʹaanastu
perceive
نَارٗا
naaraa;
a fire
سَـَٔاتِيكُم
saʹaateekum
I will bring you
مِّنۡهَا
minhaa
from it
بِخَبَرٍ
bikhabarin
some information
أَوۡ
ʹaw
or
ءَاتِيكُم
ʹaateekum̃
I will bring you
بِشِهَابٖ
bishihaabiñ
a torch
قَبَسٖ
q̣abasil
burning
لَّعَلَّكُمۡ
laʻallakum
so that you may
تَصۡطَلُونَ
taṣṭaloon.
warm yourselves
٧
27:8
فَلَمَّا
Falammaa
But when
جَآءَهَا
jaaaʹahaa
he came to it
نُودِيَ
noodiya
he was called
أَنۢ
ʹam
[that]
بُورِكَ
boorika
Blessed is
مَن
mañ
who
فِي
fin
(is) at
ٱلنَّارِ
Naari
the fire
وَمَنۡ
wa-man
and whoever
حَوۡلَهَا
ḥawlahaa:
(is) around it
وَسُبۡحَٰنَ
wa-Subḥaanal
And glory be
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(to) Allah
رَبِّ
Rabbil
(the) Lord
ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
ʻAalameen.
(of) the worlds
٨
27:9
يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ
Yaa-Moosaaa
O Musa
إِنَّهُۥٓ
ʹinnahooo
Indeed
أَنَا
ʹAnal
I Am
ٱللَّهُ
laahul
Allah
ٱلۡعَزِيزُ
ʻAzeezul
the All-Mighty
ٱلۡحَكِيمُ
Ḥakeem!
the All-Wise
٩
27:10
وَأَلۡقِ
Wa-ʹalq̣i
And Throw
عَصَاكَۚ
ʻaṣaak!
your staff
فَلَمَّا
falammaa
But when
رَءَاهَا
raʹaahaa
he saw it
تَهۡتَزُّ
tahtazzu
moving
كَأَنَّهَا
kaʹannahaa
as if it
جَآنّٞ
jaaannuñw
(were) a snake
وَلَّىٰ
wallaa
he turned back
مُدۡبِرٗا
mudbirañw
(in) flight
وَلَمۡ
walam
and (did) not
يُعَقِّبۡۚ
yuʻaq̣q̣ib
look back
يَٰمُوسَىٰ
yaa-Moosaa
O Musa
لَا
laa-
(Do) not
تَخَفۡ
takhaf:
fear
إِنِّي
ʹinnee
Indeed [I]
لَا
laa-
(do) not
يَخَافُ
yakhaafu
fear
لَدَيَّ
ladayyal
(in) My presence
ٱلۡمُرۡسَلُونَ
mursaloon,
the Messengers
١٠
27:11
إِلَّا
ʹIllaa
Except
مَن
mañ
who
ظَلَمَ
z̤̣alama
wrongs
ثُمَّ
s̤umma
then
بَدَّلَ
baddala
substitutes
حُسۡنَۢا
ḥusnam
good
بَعۡدَ
baʻda
after
سُوٓءٖ
soooʹiñ
evil
فَإِنِّي
faʹinnee
then indeed I Am
غَفُورٞ
G̣afoorur
Oft-Forgiving
رَّحِيمٞ
Raḥeem.
Most Merciful
١١
27:12
وَأَدۡخِلۡ
Wa-ʹadkhil
And enter
يَدَكَ
yadaka
your hand
فِي
fee
into
جَيۡبِكَ
jaybika
your bosom
تَخۡرُجۡ
takhruj
it will come forth
بَيۡضَآءَ
bayḍaaaʹa
white
مِنۡ
min
without
غَيۡرِ
g̣ayri
without
سُوٓءٖۖ
soooʹ:
harm
فِي
fee
(These are) among
تِسۡعِ
tisʻi
nine
ءَايَٰتٍ
ʹAayaatin
signs
إِلَىٰ
ʹilaa
to
فِرۡعَوۡنَ
Firʻawna
Firaun
وَقَوۡمِهِۦٓۚ
wa-q̣awmih:
and his people
إِنَّهُمۡ
ʹinnahum
Indeed they
كَانُواْ
kaanoo
are
قَوۡمٗا
q̣awmañ
a people
فَٰسِقِينَ
faasiq̣een.
defiantly disobedient
١٢
27:13
فَلَمَّا
Falammaa
But when
جَآءَتۡهُمۡ
jaaaʹathum
came to them
ءَايَٰتُنَا
ʹAayaatunaa
Our Signs
مُبۡصِرَةٗ
mubṣiratañ
visible
قَالُواْ
q̣aaloo
they said
هَٰذَا
haaẓaa
This
سِحۡرٞ
siḥrum
(is) a magic
مُّبِينٞ
mubeen!
manifest

27:14
وَجَحَدُواْ
Wa-jaḥadoo
And they rejected
بِهَا
bihaa
them
وَٱسۡتَيۡقَنَتۡهَآ
wastayq̣anathaaa
though were convinced with them (signs)
أَنفُسُهُمۡ
ʹañfusuhum
themselves
ظُلۡمٗا
z̤̣ulmañw
(out of) injustice
وَعُلُوّٗاۚ
waʻuluwwaa;
and haughtiness
فَٱنظُرۡ
fañz̤̣ur
So see
كَيۡفَ
kayfa
how
كَانَ
kaana
was
عَٰقِبَةُ
ʻaaq̣ibatul
(the) end
ٱلۡمُفۡسِدِينَ
mufsideen!
(of) the corrupters
١٤
27:15
وَلَقَدۡ
Wa-laq̣ad
And verily
ءَاتَيۡنَا
ʹaataynaa
We gave
دَاوُۥدَ
Daawooda
Dawood
وَسُلَيۡمَٰنَ
wa-Sulaymaana
and Sulaiman
عِلۡمٗاۖ
ʻilmaa:
knowledge
وَقَالَا
Wa-q̣aalal
and they said
ٱلۡحَمۡدُ
Ḥamdu
Praise be
لِلَّهِ
lil-laahil
to Allah
ٱلَّذِي
laẓee
the One Who
فَضَّلَنَا
faḍḍalnaa
has favored us
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
over
كَثِيرٖ
kas̤eerim
many
مِّنۡ
min
of
عِبَادِهِ
ʻibaadihil
His servants
ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ
Muʹmineen!
the believers
١٥
27:16
وَوَرِثَ
Wa-waris̤a
And inherited
سُلَيۡمَٰنُ
Sulaymaanu
Sulaiman
دَاوُۥدَۖ
Daawooda
Dawood
وَقَالَ
wa-q̣aala
And he said
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
yaaaʹayyuhan
O
ٱلنَّاسُ
naasu
people
عُلِّمۡنَا
ʻullimnaa
We have been taught
مَنطِقَ
Mañṭiq̣aṭ
(the) language
ٱلطَّيۡرِ
Ṭayri
(of) the birds
وَأُوتِينَا
wa-ʹooteenaa
and we have been given
مِن
miñ
from
كُلِّ
kulli
every
شَيۡءٍۖ
shayʹ:
thing
إِنَّ
ʹinna
Indeed
هَٰذَا
haaẓaa
this
لَهُوَ
lahuwal
surely it
ٱلۡفَضۡلُ
Faḍlul
(is) the favor
ٱلۡمُبِينُ
mubeen.
evident
١٦
27:17
وَحُشِرَ
Wa-ḥushira
And were gathered
لِسُلَيۡمَٰنَ
li-Sulaymaana
for Sulaiman
جُنُودُهُۥ
junooduhoo
his hosts
مِنَ
minal
of
ٱلۡجِنِّ
jinni
jinn
وَٱلۡإِنسِ
wal-ʹiñsi
and the men
وَٱلطَّيۡرِ
waṭṭayri
and the birds
فَهُمۡ
fahum
and they
يُوزَعُونَ
yoozaʹoon;
(were) set in rows
١٧
27:18
حَتَّىٰٓ
Ḥattaaa
Until
إِذَآ
ʹiẓaaa
when
أَتَوۡاْ
ʹataw
they came
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
to
وَادِ
Waadin
(the) valley
ٱلنَّمۡلِ
namli
(of) the ants
قَالَتۡ
q̣aalat
said
نَمۡلَةٞ
namlatuñy
an ant
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
yaaaʹayyuhan
O
ٱلنَّمۡلُ
namlud
ants
ٱدۡخُلُواْ
khuloo
Enter
مَسَٰكِنَكُمۡ
masaakinakum,
your dwellings
لَا
laa-
lest not crush you
يَحۡطِمَنَّكُمۡ
yaḥṭimannakum
lest not crush you
سُلَيۡمَٰنُ
Sulaymaanu
Sulaiman
وَجُنُودُهُۥ
wa-junooduhoo
and his hosts
وَهُمۡ
wahum
while they
لَا
laa-
(do) not perceive
يَشۡعُرُونَ
yashʻuroon.
(do) not perceive
١٨
27:19
فَتَبَسَّمَ
Fatabassama
So he smiled
ضَاحِكٗا
ḍaaḥikam
laughing
مِّن
miñ
at
قَوۡلِهَا
q̣awlihaa
her speech
وَقَالَ
wa-q̣aala
and said
رَبِّ
Rabbi
My Lord
أَوۡزِعۡنِيٓ
ʹawziʻneee
Grant me (the) power
أَنۡ
ʹan
that
أَشۡكُرَ
ʹashkura
I may thank You
نِعۡمَتَكَ
niʻmatakal
(for) Your Favor
ٱلَّتِيٓ
lateee
which
أَنۡعَمۡتَ
ʹanʻamta
You have bestowed
عَلَيَّ
ʻalayya
on me
وَعَلَىٰ
wa-ʻalaa
and on
وَٰلِدَيَّ
waalidayya
my parents
وَأَنۡ
wa-ʹan
and that
أَعۡمَلَ
ʹaʻmala
I may do
صَٰلِحٗا
ṣaaliḥañ
righteous (deeds)
تَرۡضَىٰهُ
tarḍaahu
that will please You
وَأَدۡخِلۡنِي
wa-ʹadkhilnee
And admit me
بِرَحۡمَتِكَ
bi-Raḥmatika
by Your Mercy
فِي
fee
among
عِبَادِكَ
ʻibaadikaṣ
Your slaves
ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ
ṣaaliḥeen.
righteous
١٩
27:20
وَتَفَقَّدَ
Wa-tafaq̣q̣adaṭ
And he inspected
ٱلطَّيۡرَ
Ṭayra
the birds
فَقَالَ
faq̣aala
and said
مَا
maa-
Why
لِيَ
liya
Why
لَآ
laaa
not
أَرَى
ʹar
I see
ٱلۡهُدۡهُدَ
al-Hudhuda
the hoopoe
أَمۡ
ʹam
or
كَانَ
kaana
is he
مِنَ
minal
from
ٱلۡغَآئِبِينَ
g̣aaaʹibeen?
the absent
٢٠
27:21
لَأُعَذِّبَنَّهُۥ
Laʹuʻaẓẓibannahoo
I will surely punish him
عَذَابٗا
ʻaẓaabañ
(with) a punishment
شَدِيدًا
shadeedan
severe
أَوۡ
ʹaw
or
لَأَاْذۡبَحَنَّهُۥٓ
laʹaẓbaḥannahooo
I will surely slaughter him
أَوۡ
ʹaw
unless
لَيَأۡتِيَنِّي
layaʹtiyannee
he brings me
بِسُلۡطَٰنٖ
bisulṭaanim
a reason
مُّبِينٖ
mubeen.

27:22
فَمَكَثَ
Famakas̤a
So he stayed
غَيۡرَ
g̣ayra
not
بَعِيدٖ
baʻeediñ
long
فَقَالَ
faq̣aala
and he said
أَحَطتُ
ʹaḥatu
I have encompassed
بِمَا
bimaa
that which
لَمۡ
lam
not
تُحِطۡ
tuḥiṭ
you have encompassed
بِهِۦ
bihee
it
وَجِئۡتُكَ
wa-jiʹtuka
and I have come to you
مِن
miñ
from
سَبَإِۭ
Sabaʹim
Saba
بِنَبَإٖ
binabaʹiñy
with news
يَقِينٍ
yaq̣een.
certain

27:23
إِنِّي
ʹInnee
Indeed I
وَجَدتُّ
wa-jattum
found
ٱمۡرَأَةٗ
raʹatañ
a woman
تَمۡلِكُهُمۡ
tamlikuhum
ruling them
وَأُوتِيَتۡ
wa-ʹootiyat
and she has been given
مِن
miñ
of
كُلِّ
kulli
every
شَيۡءٖ
shayʹiñw
thing
وَلَهَا
walahaa
and for her
عَرۡشٌ
ʻarshun
(is) a throne
عَظِيمٞ
ʻaz̤̣eem.
great
٢٣
27:24
وَجَدتُّهَا
Wa-jattuhaa
And I found her
وَقَوۡمَهَا
wa-q̣awmahaa
and her people
يَسۡجُدُونَ
yasjudoona
prostrating
لِلشَّمۡسِ
lishshamsi
to the sun
مِن
miñ
instead of Allah
دُونِ
doonil
instead of Allah
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
instead of Allah
وَزَيَّنَ
wa-zayyana
and has made fair-seeming
لَهُمُ
lahumush
to them
ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنُ
Shayṭaanu
the Shaitaan
أَعۡمَٰلَهُمۡ
ʹaʻmaalahum
their deeds
فَصَدَّهُمۡ
faṣaddahum
and averted them
عَنِ
ʻanis
from
ٱلسَّبِيلِ
Sabeeli
the Way
فَهُمۡ
fahum
so they
لَا
laa-
(are) not
يَهۡتَدُونَ
yahtadoon;
guided
٢٤
27:25
أَلَّاۤ
ʹAllaa
That not
يَسۡجُدُواْۤ
yasjudoo
they prostrate
لِلَّهِ
lillaahil
to Allah
ٱلَّذِي
laẓee
the One Who
يُخۡرِجُ
yukhrijul
brings forth
ٱلۡخَبۡءَ
khabʹa
the hidden
فِي
fis
in
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
samaawaati
the heavens
وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ
wal-ʹarḍi
and the earth
وَيَعۡلَمُ
wayaʻlamu
and knows
مَا
maa-
what
تُخۡفُونَ
tukhfoona
you conceal
وَمَا
wa-maa
and what
تُعۡلِنُونَ
tuʻlinoon.
you declare
٢٥
27:26
ٱللَّهُ
ʹAllaahu
Allah
لَآ
laaa
(there is) no
إِلَٰهَ
ʹilaaha
god
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
but
هُوَ
Huwa
He
رَبُّ
Rabbul
(the) Lord
ٱلۡعَرۡشِ
ʻArshil
(of) the Throne
ٱلۡعَظِيمِ۩
ʻAz̤̣eem!
the Great
٢٦
27:27
۞قَالَ
Q̣aala
He said
سَنَنظُرُ
sanañz̤̣uru
We will see
أَصَدَقۡتَ
ʹaṣadaq̣ta
whether you speak (the) truth
أَمۡ
ʹam
or
كُنتَ
kuñta
you are
مِنَ
minal
of
ٱلۡكَٰذِبِينَ
kaaẓibeen!
the liars
٢٧
27:28
ٱذۡهَب
ʹIẓhab
Go
بِّكِتَٰبِي
bi-Kitaabee
with my letter
هَٰذَا
haaẓaa
this
فَأَلۡقِهۡ
faʹalq̣ih
and deliver it
إِلَيۡهِمۡ
ʹilayhim
to them
ثُمَّ
s̤umma
Then
تَوَلَّ
tawalla
turn away
عَنۡهُمۡ
ʻanhum
from them
فَٱنظُرۡ
fañz̤̣ur
and see
مَاذَا
maaẓaa
what
يَرۡجِعُونَ
yarjiʻoon.
they return
٢٨
27:29
قَالَتۡ
Q̣aalat
She said
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
yaaʹayyuhal
O
ٱلۡمَلَؤُاْ
malaʹu
chiefs
إِنِّيٓ
ʹinneee
Indeed [I]
أُلۡقِيَ
ʹulq̣iya
is delivered
إِلَيَّ
ʹilayya
to me
كِتَٰبٞ
kitaabuñ
a letter
كَرِيمٌ
kareem.
noble
٢٩
27:30
إِنَّهُۥ
ʹInnahoo
Indeed it
مِن
miñ
(is) from
سُلَيۡمَٰنَ
Sulaymaana
Sulaiman
وَإِنَّهُۥ
wa-ʹinnahoo
and indeed it (is)
بِسۡمِ
˹Bismil
In the name
ٱللَّهِ
laahir
(of) Allah
ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ
Raḥmaanir
the Most Gracious
ٱلرَّحِيمِ
Raḥeem:˺
the Most Merciful
٣٠
27:31
أَلَّا
ʹAllaa
That not
تَعۡلُواْ
taʻloo
exalt yourselves
عَلَيَّ
ʻalayya
against me
وَأۡتُونِي
waʹ-toonee
but come to me
مُسۡلِمِينَ
Muslimeen.
(in) submission
٣١
27:32
قَالَتۡ
Q̣aalat
She said
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
yaaaʹayyuhal
O
ٱلۡمَلَؤُاْ
malaʹu
chiefs
أَفۡتُونِي
aftoonee
Advise me
فِيٓ
feee
in
أَمۡرِي
ʹamree:
my affair
مَا
maa-
Not
كُنتُ
kuñtu
I would be
قَاطِعَةً
q̣aaṭiʻatan
the one to decide
أَمۡرًا
ʹamran
any matter
حَتَّىٰ
ḥattaa
until
تَشۡهَدُونِ
tashhadoon.
you are present with me
٣٢
27:33
قَالُواْ
Q̣aaloo
They said
نَحۡنُ
naḥnu
We
أُوْلُواْ
ʹuloo
(are) possessors
قُوَّةٖ
q̣uwwatiñw
(of) strength
وَأُوْلُواْ
waʹuloo
and possessors
بَأۡسٖ
baʹsiñ
(of) might
شَدِيدٖ
shadeed:
great
وَٱلۡأَمۡرُ
wal-ʹamru
and the command
إِلَيۡكِ
ʹilayki
(is) up to you
فَٱنظُرِي
fañz̤̣uree
so look
مَاذَا
maaẓaa
what
تَأۡمُرِينَ
taʹmureen.
you will command
٣٣
27:34
قَالَتۡ
Q̣aalat
She said
إِنَّ
ʹinnal
Indeed
ٱلۡمُلُوكَ
mulooka
the kings
إِذَا
ʹiẓaa
when
دَخَلُواْ
dakhaloo
they enter
قَرۡيَةً
q̣aryatan
a town
أَفۡسَدُوهَا
ʹafsadoohaa
they ruin it
وَجَعَلُوٓاْ
wa-jaʻalooo
and make
أَعِزَّةَ
ʹaʻizzata
(the) most honorable
أَهۡلِهَآ
ʹahlihaaa
(of) its people
أَذِلَّةٗۚ
ʹaẓillah:
(the) lowest
وَكَذَٰلِكَ
wa-kaẓaalika
And thus
يَفۡعَلُونَ
yafʻaloon.
they do
٣٤
27:35
وَإِنِّي
Wa-ʹinnee
But indeed I am
مُرۡسِلَةٌ
mursilatun
going to send
إِلَيۡهِم
ʹilayhim
to them
بِهَدِيَّةٖ
bihadiyyatiñ
a gift
فَنَاظِرَةُۢ
fanaaz̤̣iratum
and see
بِمَ
bima
with what
يَرۡجِعُ
yarjiʻul
return
ٱلۡمُرۡسَلُونَ
mursaloon.
the messengers
٣٥

27:36
فَلَمَّا
Falammaa
So when
جَآءَ
jaaaʹa
came
سُلَيۡمَٰنَ
Sulaymaana
(to) Sulaiman
قَالَ
q̣aala
he said
أَتُمِدُّونَنِ
ʹatumiddoonani
Will you provide me
بِمَالٖ
bimaal?
with wealth
فَمَآ
Famaaa
But what
ءَاتَىٰنِۦَ
ʹaataaniyal
Allah has given me
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah has given me
خَيۡرٞ
khayrum
(is) better
مِّمَّآ
mimmaaa
than what
ءَاتَىٰكُمۚ
ʹaataakum!
He has given you
بَلۡ
Bal
Nay
أَنتُم
ʹañtum̃
you
بِهَدِيَّتِكُمۡ
bihadiyyatikum
in your gift
تَفۡرَحُونَ
tafraḥoon!
rejoice
٣٦
27:37
ٱرۡجِعۡ
ʹIrjiʻ
Return
إِلَيۡهِمۡ
ʹilayhim
to them
فَلَنَأۡتِيَنَّهُم
falanaʹtiyannahum̃
surely we will come to them
بِجُنُودٖ
bijunoodil
with hosts
لَّا
laa
not
قِبَلَ
q̣ibala
(is) resistance
لَهُم
lahum̃
for them
بِهَا
bihaa
of it
وَلَنُخۡرِجَنَّهُم
wa-lanukhrijannahum
and surely we will drive them out
مِّنۡهَآ
minhaaa
from there
أَذِلَّةٗ
ʹaẓillatañw
(in) humiliation
وَهُمۡ
Wahum
and they
صَٰغِرُونَ
ṣaag̣iroon.
(will be) abased
٣٧
27:38
قَالَ
Q̣aala
He said
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
yaaaʹayyuhal
O
ٱلۡمَلَؤُاْ
malaʹu
chiefs
أَيُّكُمۡ
ʹayyukum
Which of you
يَأۡتِينِي
yaʹteenee
will bring me
بِعَرۡشِهَا
biʻarshihaa
her throne
قَبۡلَ
q̣abla
before
أَن
ʹañy
that
يَأۡتُونِي
yaʹtoonee
they come to me
مُسۡلِمِينَ
muslimeen?
(in) submission
٣٨
27:39
قَالَ
Q̣aala
Said
عِفۡرِيتٞ
ʻIfreetum
a strong one
مِّنَ
minal
of
ٱلۡجِنِّ
jinni
the jinn
أَنَا۠
ʹana
I
ءَاتِيكَ
ʹaateeka
will bring it to you
بِهِۦ
bihee
will bring it to you
قَبۡلَ
q̣abla
before
أَن
ʹañ
[that]
تَقُومَ
taq̣ooma
you rise
مِن
mim
from
مَّقَامِكَۖ
maq̣aamik:
your place
وَإِنِّي
wa-ʹinnee
And indeed I am
عَلَيۡهِ
ʻalayhi
for it
لَقَوِيٌّ
laq̣awiyyun
surely strong
أَمِينٞ
ʹameen.
trustworthy
٣٩
27:40
قَالَ
Q̣aalal
Said
ٱلَّذِي
laẓee
one who
عِندَهُۥ
ʻiñdahoo
with him
عِلۡمٞ
ʻilmum
(was) knowledge
مِّنَ
minal
of
ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ
Kitaabi
the Scripture
أَنَا۠
ʹana
I
ءَاتِيكَ
ʹaateeka
will bring it to you
بِهِۦ
bihee
will bring it to you
قَبۡلَ
q̣abla
before
أَن
ʹañy
[that]
يَرۡتَدَّ
yartadda
returns
إِلَيۡكَ
ʹilayka
to you
طَرۡفُكَۚ
ṭarfuk!
your glance
فَلَمَّا
Falammaa
Then when
رَءَاهُ
raʹaahu
he saw it
مُسۡتَقِرًّا
mustaq̣irran
placed
عِندَهُۥ
ʻiñdahoo
before him
قَالَ
q̣aala
he said
هَٰذَا
haaẓaa
This
مِن
miñ
(is) from
فَضۡلِ
faḍli
(the) Favor
رَبِّي
Rabbee
(of) my Lord
لِيَبۡلُوَنِيٓ
liyabluwaneee
to test me
ءَأَشۡكُرُ
ʹaʹashkuru
whether I am grateful
أَمۡ
ʹam
or
أَكۡفُرُۖ
ʹakfur!
I am ungrateful
وَمَن
Wa-mañ
And whoever
شَكَرَ
shakara
(is) grateful
فَإِنَّمَا
faʹinnamaa
then only
يَشۡكُرُ
yashkuru
he is grateful
لِنَفۡسِهِۦۖ
linafsih;
for his own soul
وَمَن
wa-mañ
And whoever
كَفَرَ
kafara
(is) ungrateful
فَإِنَّ
faʹinna
then indeed
رَبِّي
Rabbee
my Lord
غَنِيّٞ
G̣aniyyuñ
(is) Self-sufficient
كَرِيمٞ
Kareem!...
Noble
٤٠
27:41
قَالَ
Q̣aala
He said
نَكِّرُواْ
nakkiroo
Disguise
لَهَا
lahaa
for her
عَرۡشَهَا
ʻarshahaa
her throne
نَنظُرۡ
nañz̤̣ur
we will see
أَتَهۡتَدِيٓ
ʹatahtadeee
whether she will be guided
أَمۡ
ʹam
or
تَكُونُ
takoonu
will be
مِنَ
minal
of
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
لَا
laa-
are not guided
يَهۡتَدُونَ
yahtadoon.
are not guided

27:42
فَلَمَّا
Falammaa
So when
جَآءَتۡ
jaaaʹat
she came
قِيلَ
q̣eela
it was said
أَهَٰكَذَا
ʹahaakaẓaa
Is like this
عَرۡشُكِۖ
ʻarshuk?
your throne
قَالَتۡ
Q̣aalat
She said
كَأَنَّهُۥ
kaʹannahoo
It is like
هُوَۚ
hoo;
it
وَأُوتِينَا
wa-ʹooteenal
And we were given
ٱلۡعِلۡمَ
ʻilma
the knowledge
مِن
miñ
before her
قَبۡلِهَا
q̣ablihaa
before her
وَكُنَّا
wa-kunnaa
and we have been
مُسۡلِمِينَ
Muslimeen.
Muslims
٤٢
27:43
وَصَدَّهَا
Waṣaddahaa
And has averted her
مَا
maa-
what
كَانَت
kaanat
she used (to)
تَّعۡبُدُ
taʻbudu
worship
مِن
miñ
besides
دُونِ
doonil
besides
ٱللَّهِۖ
laah:
Allah
إِنَّهَا
ʹinnahaa
Indeed she
كَانَتۡ
kaanat
was
مِن
miñ
from
قَوۡمٖ
q̣awmiñ
a people
كَٰفِرِينَ
kaafireen.
who disbelieve
٤٣
27:44
قِيلَ
Q̣eela
It was said
لَهَا
lahad
to her
ٱدۡخُلِي
khuliṣ
Enter
ٱلصَّرۡحَۖ
ṣarḥ:
the palace
فَلَمَّا
falammaaنَ
Then when
رَأَتۡهُ
raʹathu
she saw it
حَسِبَتۡهُ
ḥasibathu
she thought it
لُجَّةٗ
lujjatañw
(was) a pool
وَكَشَفَتۡ
wakashafat
and she uncovered
عَن
ʻañ
[on]
سَاقَيۡهَاۚ
saaq̣ayhaa.
her shins
قَالَ
Q̣aala
He said
إِنَّهُۥ
ʹinnahoo
Indeed it
صَرۡحٞ
ṣarḥum
(is) a palace
مُّمَرَّدٞ
mumarradum
made smooth
مِّن
miñ
of
قَوَارِيرَۗ
q̣awaareer.
glass
قَالَتۡ
Q̣aalat
She said
رَبِّ
Rabbi
My Lord
إِنِّي
ʹinnee
indeed I
ظَلَمۡتُ
z̤̣alamtu
[I] have wronged
نَفۡسِي
nafsee
myself
وَأَسۡلَمۡتُ
wa-ʹaslamtu
and I submit
مَعَ
maʻa
with
سُلَيۡمَٰنَ
Sulaymaana
Sulaiman
لِلَّهِ
lillaahi
to Allah
رَبِّ
Rabbil
(the) Lord
ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
ʻAalameen.
(of) the worlds

27:45
وَلَقَدۡ
Wa-laq̣ad
And certainly
أَرۡسَلۡنَآ
ʹarsalnaaa
We sent
إِلَىٰ
ʹilaa
to
ثَمُودَ
S̤amooda
Thamud
أَخَاهُمۡ
ʹakhaahum
their brother
صَٰلِحًا
Ṣaaliḥan
Salih
أَنِ
ʹaniʻ
that
ٱعۡبُدُواْ
budul
Worship
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
فَإِذَا
faʹiẓaa
Then behold
هُمۡ
hum
They
فَرِيقَانِ
fareeq̣aani
(became) two parties
يَخۡتَصِمُونَ
yakhtaṣimoon.
quarreling
٤٥
27:46
قَالَ
Q̣aala
He said
يَٰقَوۡمِ
yaa-q̣awmi
O my people
لِمَ
lima
Why
تَسۡتَعۡجِلُونَ
tastaʻjiloona
(do) you seek to hasten
بِٱلسَّيِّئَةِ
bissayyiʹati
the evil
قَبۡلَ
q̣ablal
before
ٱلۡحَسَنَةِۖ
ḥasanah?
the good
لَوۡلَا
Law-laa
Why not
تَسۡتَغۡفِرُونَ
tas-tag̣firoonal
you ask forgiveness
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
(of) Allah
لَعَلَّكُمۡ
laʻallakum
so that you may
تُرۡحَمُونَ
turḥamoon.
receive mercy
٤٦
27:47
قَالُواْ
Q̣aaluṭ
They said
ٱطَّيَّرۡنَا
ṭayyarnaa
We consider you a bad omen
بِكَ
bika
We consider you a bad omen
وَبِمَن
wa-bimam
and those
مَّعَكَۚ
maʻak.
with you
قَالَ
Q̣aala
He said
طَٰٓئِرُكُمۡ
ṭaaaʹirukum
Your bad omen
عِندَ
ʻiñdal
(is) with
ٱللَّهِۖ
laahi
Allah
بَلۡ
bal
Nay
أَنتُمۡ
ʹañtum
you
قَوۡمٞ
q̣awmuñ
(are) a people
تُفۡتَنُونَ
tuftanoon.
being tested
٤٧
27:48
وَكَانَ
Wa-kaana
And were
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡمَدِينَةِ
madeenati
the city
تِسۡعَةُ
tisʻatu
nine
رَهۡطٖ
rahṭiñy
family heads
يُفۡسِدُونَ
yufsidoona
they were spreading corruption
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
ʹarḍi
the land
وَلَا
wa-laa
and not
يُصۡلِحُونَ
yuṣliḥoon.
reforming
٤٨
27:49
قَالُواْ
Q̣aaloo
They said
تَقَاسَمُواْ
taq̣aasamoo
Swear to each other
بِٱللَّهِ
billaahi
by Allah
لَنُبَيِّتَنَّهُۥ
lanubayyitannahoo
surely we will attack him by night
وَأَهۡلَهُۥ
wa-ʹahlahoo
and his family
ثُمَّ
s̤umma
Then
لَنَقُولَنَّ
lanaq̣oolanna
we will surely say
لِوَلِيِّهِۦ
liwaliyyihee
to his heir
مَا
maa-
Not
شَهِدۡنَا
shahidnaa
we witnessed
مَهۡلِكَ
mahlika
(the) destruction
أَهۡلِهِۦ
ʹahlihee
(of) his family
وَإِنَّا
wa-ʹinnaa
and indeed we
لَصَٰدِقُونَ
laṣaadiq̣oon.
(are) surely truthful
٤٩
27:50
وَمَكَرُواْ
Wa-makaroo
So they plotted
مَكۡرٗا
makrañw
a plot
وَمَكَرۡنَا
wamakarnaa
and We planned
مَكۡرٗا
makrañw
a plan
وَهُمۡ
wahum
while they
لَا
laa-
(did) not
يَشۡعُرُونَ
yashʻuroon.
perceive
