22:1
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
Yaaaʹayyuhan
O mankind
ٱلنَّاسُ
naasut
O mankind
ٱتَّقُواْ
taq̣oo
Fear
رَبَّكُمۡۚ
Rabbakum!
your Lord
إِنَّ
ʹInna
Indeed
زَلۡزَلَةَ
zalzalatas
(the) convulsion
ٱلسَّاعَةِ
Saaʻati
(of) the Hour
شَيۡءٌ
shayʹun
(is) a thing
عَظِيمٞ
ʻaz̤̣eem!
great
١
22:2
يَوۡمَ
Yawma
(The) Day
تَرَوۡنَهَا
tarawnahaa
you will see it
تَذۡهَلُ
taẓhalu
will forget
كُلُّ
kullu
every
مُرۡضِعَةٍ
murḍiʻatin
nursing mother
عَمَّآ
ʻammaaa
that which
أَرۡضَعَتۡ
ʹarḍaʻat
she was nursing
وَتَضَعُ
wa-taḍaʻu
and will deliver
كُلُّ
kullu
every
ذَاتِ
ẓaati
pregnant woman
حَمۡلٍ
ḥamlin
pregnant woman
حَمۡلَهَا
ḥamlahaa
her load
وَتَرَى
wa-taran
and you will see
ٱلنَّاسَ
naasa
[the] mankind
سُكَٰرَىٰ
sukaaraa
intoxicated
وَمَا
wa-maa
while not
هُم
hum̃
they
بِسُكَٰرَىٰ
bisukaaraa
(are) intoxicated
وَلَٰكِنَّ
wa-laakinna
but
عَذَابَ
ʻaẓaabal
(the) punishment
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
شَدِيدٞ
shadeed.
(will be) severe
٢
22:3
وَمِنَ
Wa-minan
And among
ٱلنَّاسِ
naasi
the mankind
مَن
mañy
(is he) who
يُجَٰدِلُ
yujaadilu
disputes
فِي
fil
concerning
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
بِغَيۡرِ
big̣ayri
without
عِلۡمٖ
ʻilmiñw
knowledge
وَيَتَّبِعُ
Wayattabiʻu
and follows
كُلَّ
kulla
every
شَيۡطَٰنٖ
shayṭaanim
devil
مَّرِيدٖ
mareed!
rebellious
٣
22:4
كُتِبَ
Kutiba
It has been decreed
عَلَيۡهِ
ʻalayhi
for him
أَنَّهُۥ
ʹannahoo
that he
مَن
mañ
who
تَوَلَّاهُ
tawallaahu
befriends him
فَأَنَّهُۥ
faʹannahoo
then indeed he
يُضِلُّهُۥ
yuḍilluhoo
will misguide him
وَيَهۡدِيهِ
wa-yahdeehi
and will guide him
إِلَىٰ
ʹilaa
to
عَذَابِ
ʻAẓaabis
(the) punishment
ٱلسَّعِيرِ
Saʻeer.
(of) the Blaze
٤
22:5
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
Yaaaʹayyuhan
O mankind
ٱلنَّاسُ
naasu
O mankind
إِن
ʹiñ
If
كُنتُمۡ
kuñtum
you are
فِي
fee
in
رَيۡبٖ
raybim
doubt
مِّنَ
minal
about
ٱلۡبَعۡثِ
Baʻs̤i
the Resurrection
فَإِنَّا
faʹinnaa
then indeed We
خَلَقۡنَٰكُم
khalaq̣naakum
We created you
مِّن
miñ
from
تُرَابٖ
turaabiñ
dust
ثُمَّ
s̤umma
then
مِن
min
from
نُّطۡفَةٖ
nuṭfatiñ
a semen-drop
ثُمَّ
s̤umma
then
مِنۡ
min
from
عَلَقَةٖ
ʻalaq̣atiñ
a clinging substance
ثُمَّ
s̤umma
then
مِن
mim
from
مُّضۡغَةٖ
muḍg̣atim
an embryonic lump
مُّخَلَّقَةٖ
mukhallaq̣atiñw
formed
وَغَيۡرِ
wag̣ayri
and unformed
مُخَلَّقَةٖ
mukhallaq̣atil
and unformed
لِّنُبَيِّنَ
linubayyina
that We may make clear
لَكُمۡۚ
lakum.
to you
وَنُقِرُّ
Wa-nuq̣irru
And We cause to remain
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡأَرۡحَامِ
ʹarḥaami
the wombs
مَا
maa-
what
نَشَآءُ
nashaaaʹu
We will
إِلَىٰٓ
ʹilaaa
for
أَجَلٖ
ʹajalim
a term
مُّسَمّٗى
musammañ
appointed
ثُمَّ
s̤umma
then
نُخۡرِجُكُمۡ
nukhrijukum
We bring you out
طِفۡلٗا
ṭiflañ
(as) a child
ثُمَّ
s̤umma
[then]
لِتَبۡلُغُوٓاْ
litablug̣ooo
that you may reach
أَشُدَّكُمۡۖ
ʹashuddakum;
[your] maturity
وَمِنكُم
wa-miñkum
And among you
مَّن
mañy
(is he) who
يُتَوَفَّىٰ
yutawaffaa
dies
وَمِنكُم
wa-miñkum
and among you
مَّن
mañy
(is he) who
يُرَدُّ
yuraddu
is returned
إِلَىٰٓ
ʹilaaa
to
أَرۡذَلِ
ʹarẓalil
the most abject
ٱلۡعُمُرِ
ʻumuri
age
لِكَيۡلَا
likaylaa
so that not
يَعۡلَمَ
yaʻlama
he knows
مِنۢ
mim
after
بَعۡدِ
baʻdi
after
عِلۡمٖ
ʻilmiñ
having known
شَيۡـٔٗاۚ
shayʹaa.
anything
وَتَرَى
Wa-taral
And you see
ٱلۡأَرۡضَ
ʹarḍa
the earth
هَامِدَةٗ
haamidatañ
barren
فَإِذَآ
faʹiẓaaa
then when
أَنزَلۡنَا
ʹañzalnaa
We send down
عَلَيۡهَا
ʻalayhal
on it
ٱلۡمَآءَ
maaaʹah
water
ٱهۡتَزَّتۡ
tazzat
it gets stirred
وَرَبَتۡ
wa-rabat
and it swells
وَأَنۢبَتَتۡ
wa-ʹambatat
and grows
مِن
miñ
of
كُلِّ
kulli
every
زَوۡجِۭ
zawjim
kind
بَهِيجٖ
baheej.
beautiful

ذَٰلِكَ
Ẓaalika
That
بِأَنَّ
biʹannal
(is) because
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
هُوَ
Huwal
He
ٱلۡحَقُّ
Ḥaq̣q̣u
(is) the Truth
وَأَنَّهُۥ
wa-ʹannahoo
And that He
يُحۡيِ
yuḥyil
[He] gives life
ٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰ
mawtaa
(to) the dead
وَأَنَّهُۥ
wa-ʹannahoo
and that He
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
(is) over
كُلِّ
kulli
every
شَيۡءٖ
shayʹiñ
thing
قَدِيرٞ
Q̣adeer.
All-Powerful
٦
22:7
وَأَنَّ
Wa-ʹannas
And that
ٱلسَّاعَةَ
Saaʻata
the Hour
ءَاتِيَةٞ
ʹaatiyatul
will come
لَّا
laa
(there is) no
رَيۡبَ
rayba
doubt
فِيهَا
feeha
about it
وَأَنَّ
wa-ʹannal
and that
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
يَبۡعَثُ
yabʻas̤u
will resurrect
مَن
mañ
(those) who
فِي
fil
(are) in
ٱلۡقُبُورِ
q̣uboor.
the graves
٧
22:8
وَمِنَ
Wa-minan
And among
ٱلنَّاسِ
naasi
mankind
مَن
mañy
(is he) who
يُجَٰدِلُ
yujaadilu
disputes
فِي
fil
concerning
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
بِغَيۡرِ
big̣ayri
without
عِلۡمٖ
ʻilmiñw
any knowledge
وَلَا
walaa
and not
هُدٗى
Hudañw
any guidance
وَلَا
Walaa
and not
كِتَٰبٖ
Kittabim
a Book
مُّنِيرٖ
Muneer,
enlightening
٨
22:9
ثَانِيَ
S̤aaniya
Twisting
عِطۡفِهِۦ
ʻiṭfihee
his neck
لِيُضِلَّ
liyuḍilla
to mislead
عَن
ʻañ
from
سَبِيلِ
Sabeelil
(the) way
ٱللَّهِۖ
laah:
(of) Allah
لَهُۥ
lahoo
For him
فِي
fid
in
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
dunyaa
the world
خِزۡيٞۖ
khizyuñw
(is) disgrace
وَنُذِيقُهُۥ
wanuẓeeq̣uhoo
and We will make him taste
يَوۡمَ
Yawmal
(on the) Day
ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ
Q̣iyaamati
(of) Resurrection
عَذَابَ
ʻAẓaabal
(the) punishment
ٱلۡحَرِيقِ
Ḥareeq̣.
(of) the Burning Fire
٩
22:10
ذَٰلِكَ
Ẓaalika
That
بِمَا
bimaa
(is) for what
قَدَّمَتۡ
q̣addamat
have sent forth
يَدَاكَ
yadaaka
your hands
وَأَنَّ
wa-ʹannal
and that
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
لَيۡسَ
laysa
is not
بِظَلَّٰمٖ
biz̤̣allaamil
unjust
لِّلۡعَبِيدِ
lilʻabeed.
to His slaves
١٠
22:11
وَمِنَ
Wa-minan
And among
ٱلنَّاسِ
naasi
the mankind
مَن
mañy
(is he) who
يَعۡبُدُ
yaʻbudul
worships
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
on
حَرۡفٖۖ
ḥarf:
an edge
فَإِنۡ
faʹin
And if
أَصَابَهُۥ
ʹaṣaabahoo
befalls him
خَيۡرٌ
khayruniṭ
good
ٱطۡمَأَنَّ
maʹanna
he is content
بِهِۦۖ
bih;
with it
وَإِنۡ
wa-ʹin
and if
أَصَابَتۡهُ
ʹaṣaabathu
befalls him
فِتۡنَةٌ
fitnatuniñ
a trial
ٱنقَلَبَ
q̣alaba
he turns
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
on
وَجۡهِهِۦ
wajhih;
his face
خَسِرَ
khasirad
He has lost
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
dunyaa
the world
وَٱلۡأٓخِرَةَۚ
wal-ʹAakhirah;
and the Hereafter
ذَٰلِكَ
ẓaalika
That
هُوَ
huwal
[it]
ٱلۡخُسۡرَانُ
khusraanul
(is) the loss
ٱلۡمُبِينُ
Mubeen.

22:12
يَدۡعُواْ
Yadʻoo
He calls
مِن
miñ
besides
دُونِ
doonil
besides
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
مَا
maa
what
لَا
laa-
not
يَضُرُّهُۥ
yaḍurruhoo
harms him
وَمَا
wamaa
and what
لَا
laa-
not
يَنفَعُهُۥۚ
yañfaʻuh:
benefits him
ذَٰلِكَ
ẓaalika
That
هُوَ
huwaḍ
[it]
ٱلضَّلَٰلُ
ḍalaalul
(is) the straying
ٱلۡبَعِيدُ
baʻeed!
far away
١٢
22:13
يَدۡعُواْ
Yadʻoo
He calls
لَمَن
lamañ
(one) who
ضَرُّهُۥٓ
ḍarruhooo
his harm
أَقۡرَبُ
ʹaq̣rabu
(is) closer
مِن
min
than
نَّفۡعِهِۦۚ
nafʻih:
his benefit
لَبِئۡسَ
labiʹsal
Surely an evil
ٱلۡمَوۡلَىٰ
mawlaa
protector
وَلَبِئۡسَ
wa-labiʹsal
and surely an evil
ٱلۡعَشِيرُ
ʻasheer!
friend
١٣
22:14
إِنَّ
ʹInnal
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
يُدۡخِلُ
yudkhilul
will admit
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
ءَامَنُواْ
ʹaamanoo
believe
وَعَمِلُواْ
wa-ʻamiluṣ
and do
ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ
Ṣaaliḥaati
the righteous deeds
جَنَّٰتٖ
Jannaatiñ
(to) Gardens
تَجۡرِي
tajree
flow
مِن
miñ
from
تَحۡتِهَا
taḥtihal
underneath it
ٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُۚ
ʹanhaar:
the rivers
إِنَّ
ʹinnal
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
يَفۡعَلُ
yafʻalu
does
مَا
maa-
what
يُرِيدُ
yureed.
He intends
١٤
22:15
مَن
Mañ
Whoever
كَانَ
kaana
[is]
يَظُنُّ
yaz̤̣unnu
thinks
أَن
ʹal
that
لَّن
lañy
not
يَنصُرَهُ
yañṣurahul
Allah will help him
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah will help him
فِي
fid
in
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
dunyaa
the world
وَٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ
wal-ʹAakhirati
and the Hereafter
فَلۡيَمۡدُدۡ
fal-yamdud
then let him extend
بِسَبَبٍ
bisababin
a rope
إِلَى
ʹilas
to
ٱلسَّمَآءِ
samaaaʹi
the sky
ثُمَّ
s̤ummal
then
لۡيَقۡطَعۡ
yaq̣ṭaʻ
let him cut off
فَلۡيَنظُرۡ
falyañz̤̣ur
then let him see
هَلۡ
hal
whether
يُذۡهِبَنَّ
yuẓhibanna
will remove
كَيۡدُهُۥ
kayduhoo
his plan
مَا
maa-
what
يَغِيظُ
yag̣eez̤̣!
enrages
١٥

22:16
وَكَذَٰلِكَ
Wa-kaẓaalika
And thus
أَنزَلۡنَٰهُ
ʹañzalnaahu
We sent it down
ءَايَٰتِۭ
ʹAayaatim
(as) clear Verses
بَيِّنَٰتٖ
Bayyinaatiñw
(as) clear Verses
وَأَنَّ
Waʹannal
and that
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
يَهۡدِي
yahdee
guides
مَن
mañy
whom
يُرِيدُ
yureed!
He intends
١٦
22:17
إِنَّ
ʹInnal
Indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
ءَامَنُواْ
ʹaamanoo
have believed
وَٱلَّذِينَ
wallaẓeena
and those who
هَادُواْ
haadoo
were Jews
وَٱلصَّٰبِـِٔينَ
waṣ-Ṣaabiʹeena
and the Sabians
وَٱلنَّصَٰرَىٰ
wan-Naṣaaraa
and the Christians
وَٱلۡمَجُوسَ
wal-Majoosa
and the Magians
وَٱلَّذِينَ
wallaẓeena
and those who
أَشۡرَكُوٓاْ
ʹashrakooo
(are) polytheists
إِنَّ
ʹinnal
indeed
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
يَفۡصِلُ
yafṣilu
will judge
بَيۡنَهُمۡ
baynahum
between them
يَوۡمَ
Yawmal
(on) the Day
ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِۚ
Q̣iyaamah:
(of) the Resurrection
إِنَّ
ʹinnal
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
over
كُلِّ
kulli
every
شَيۡءٖ
shayʹiñ
thing
شَهِيدٌ
Shaheed.
(is) a Witness
١٧
22:18
أَلَمۡ
ʹAlam
Do not
تَرَ
tara
you see
أَنَّ
ʹannal
that
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
(to) Allah
يَسۡجُدُۤ
yasjudu
prostrates
لَهُۥۤ
lahoo
to Him
مَن
mañ
whoever
فِي
fis
(is) in
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
samaawaati
the heavens
وَمَن
wa-mañ
and whoever
فِي
fil
(is) in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
ʹarḍi
the earth
وَٱلشَّمۡسُ
washshamsu
and the sun
وَٱلۡقَمَرُ
walq̣amaru
and the moon
وَٱلنُّجُومُ
wan-nujoomu
and the stars
وَٱلۡجِبَالُ
wal-jibaalu
and the mountains
وَٱلشَّجَرُ
washshajaru
and the trees
وَٱلدَّوَآبُّ
wad-dawaaabbu
and the moving creatures
وَكَثِيرٞ
wa-kas̤eerum
and many
مِّنَ
minan
of
ٱلنَّاسِۖ
naas?
the people
وَكَثِيرٌ
Wa-kas̤eerun
But many
حَقَّ
ḥaq̣q̣a
(is) justly due
عَلَيۡهِ
ʻalayhil
on him
ٱلۡعَذَابُۗ
ʻAẓaab.
the punishment
وَمَن
Wa-mañy
And whoever
يُهِنِ
yuhinil
Allah humiliates
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah humiliates
فَمَا
famaa
then not
لَهُۥ
lahoo
for him
مِن
mim
any
مُّكۡرِمٍۚ
mukrim:
bestower of honor
إِنَّ
ʹinnal
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
يَفۡعَلُ
yafʻalu
does
مَا
maa-
what
يَشَآءُ۩
yashaaaʹ.
He wills
١٨
22:19
۞هَٰذَانِ
Haaẓaani
These two
خَصۡمَانِ
khaṣmaanikh
opponents
ٱخۡتَصَمُواْ
taṣamoo
dispute
فِي
fee
concerning
رَبِّهِمۡۖ
Rabbihim:
their Lord
فَٱلَّذِينَ
fal-laẓeena
But those who
كَفَرُواْ
kafaroo
disbelieved
قُطِّعَتۡ
q̣uṭṭiʻat
will be cut out
لَهُمۡ
lahum
for them
ثِيَابٞ
s̤iyaabum
garments
مِّن
min
of
نَّارٖ
Naar:
fire
يُصَبُّ
yuṣabbu
Will be poured
مِن
miñ
over
فَوۡقِ
fawq̣i
over
رُءُوسِهِمُ
ruʹoosihimul
their heads
ٱلۡحَمِيمُ
ḥameem.
[the] scalding water
١٩
22:20
يُصۡهَرُ
Yuṣharu
Will be melted
بِهِۦ
bihee
with it
مَا
maa-
what
فِي
fee
(is) in
بُطُونِهِمۡ
buṭoonihim
their bellies
وَٱلۡجُلُودُ
waljulood.
and the skins
٢٠
22:21
وَلَهُم
Wa-lahum
And for them
مَّقَٰمِعُ
maq̣aamiʻu
(are) hooked rods
مِنۡ
min
of
حَدِيدٖ
ḥadeed.
iron
٢١
22:22
كُلَّمَآ
Kullamaaa
Every time
أَرَادُوٓاْ
ʹaraadooo
they want
أَن
ʹañy
to
يَخۡرُجُواْ
yakhrujoo
come out
مِنۡهَا
minhaa
from it
مِنۡ
min
from
غَمٍّ
g̣ammin
anguish
أُعِيدُواْ
ʹuʻeedoo
they will be returned
فِيهَا
feehaa
therein
وَذُوقُواْ
wa-ẓooq̣oo
Taste
عَذَابَ
ʻaẓaabal
(the) punishment
ٱلۡحَرِيقِ
Ḥareeq̣!
(of) the Burning Fire
٢٢
22:23
إِنَّ
ʹInnal
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
يُدۡخِلُ
yudkhilul
will admit
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
ءَامَنُواْ
ʹaamanoo
believe
وَعَمِلُواْ
wa-ʻamiluṣ
and do
ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ
Ṣaaliḥaati
the righteous deeds
جَنَّٰتٖ
Jannaatiñ
(to) Gardens
تَجۡرِي
tajree
flow
مِن
miñ
from
تَحۡتِهَا
taḥtihal
underneath it
ٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُ
ʹanhaaru
the rivers
يُحَلَّوۡنَ
yuḥallawna
They will be adorned
فِيهَا
feehaa
therein
مِنۡ
min
with
أَسَاوِرَ
ʹasaawira
bracelets
مِن
miñ
of
ذَهَبٖ
ẓahabiñw
gold
وَلُؤۡلُؤٗاۖ
waluʹluʹaa:
and pearl
وَلِبَاسُهُمۡ
wa-libaasuhum
and their garments
فِيهَا
feehaa
therein
حَرِيرٞ
ḥareer.
(will be of) silk

وَهُدُوٓاْ
Wa-hudooo
And they were guided
إِلَى
ʹilaṭ
to
ٱلطَّيِّبِ
Ṭayyibi
the good
مِنَ
minal
of
ٱلۡقَوۡلِ
Q̣awli
the speech
وَهُدُوٓاْ
wa-hudooo
and they were guided
إِلَىٰ
ʹilaa
to
صِرَٰطِ
Ṣiraaṭil
(the) path
ٱلۡحَمِيدِ
Ḥameed.
(of) the Praiseworthy
٢٤
22:25
إِنَّ
ʹInnal
Indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
كَفَرُواْ
kafaroo
disbelieved
وَيَصُدُّونَ
wa-yaṣuddoona
and hinder
عَن
ʻañ
from
سَبِيلِ
Sabeelil
(the) way
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
وَٱلۡمَسۡجِدِ
wal-Masjidil
and Al-Masjid Al-Haraam
ٱلۡحَرَامِ
Ḥaraamil
and Al-Masjid Al-Haraam
ٱلَّذِي
laẓee
which
جَعَلۡنَٰهُ
jaʻalnaahu
We made it
لِلنَّاسِ
linnaasi
for the mankind
سَوَآءً
sawaaaʹanil
equal
ٱلۡعَٰكِفُ
ʻaakifu
(are) the resident
فِيهِ
feehi
therein
وَٱلۡبَادِۚ
walbaad.
and the visitor
وَمَن
Wa-mañy
and whoever
يُرِدۡ
yurid
intends
فِيهِ
feehi
therein
بِإِلۡحَادِۭ
biʹilḥaadim
of deviation
بِظُلۡمٖ
biz̤̣ulmin
(or) wrongdoing
نُّذِقۡهُ
nuẓiq̣hu
We will make him taste
مِنۡ
min
of
عَذَابٍ
ʻAẓaabin
a punishment
أَلِيمٖ
ʹaleem.
painful
٢٥
22:26
وَإِذۡ
Wa-ʹiẓ
And when
بَوَّأۡنَا
bawwaʹnaa
We assigned
لِإِبۡرَٰهِيمَ
liʹIbraaheema
to Ibrahim
مَكَانَ
Makaanal
(the) site
ٱلۡبَيۡتِ
Bayti
(of) the House
أَن
ʹal
That
لَّا
laa
(do) not
تُشۡرِكۡ
tushrik
associate
بِي
bee
with Me
شَيۡـٔٗا
shayʹañw
anything
وَطَهِّرۡ
waṭahhir
and purify
بَيۡتِيَ
Baytiya
My House
لِلطَّآئِفِينَ
liṭ-Ṭaaaʹifeena
for those who circumambulate
وَٱلۡقَآئِمِينَ
wal-Q̣aaaʹimeena
and those who stand
وَٱلرُّكَّعِ
war-Rukkaʻis
and those who bow
ٱلسُّجُودِ
Sujood.
(and) those who prostrate
٢٦
22:27
وَأَذِّن
Wa-ʹaẓẓin
And proclaim
فِي
fin
to
ٱلنَّاسِ
naasi
[the] mankind
بِٱلۡحَجِّ
bil-Ḥajji
[of] the Pilgrimage
يَأۡتُوكَ
yaʹtooka
they will come to you
رِجَالٗا
rijaalañw
(on) foot
وَعَلَىٰ
wa-ʻalaa
and on
كُلِّ
kulli
every
ضَامِرٖ
ḍaamiriñy
lean camel
يَأۡتِينَ
yaʹteena
they will come
مِن
miñ
from
كُلِّ
kulli
every
فَجٍّ
fajjin
mountain highway
عَمِيقٖ
ʻameeq̣;
distant
٢٧
22:28
لِّيَشۡهَدُواْ
Liyashhadoo
That they may witness
مَنَٰفِعَ
manaafiʻa
benefits
لَهُمۡ
lahum
for them
وَيَذۡكُرُواْ
wa-yaẓkurus
and mention
ٱسۡمَ
mal
(the) name
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
فِيٓ
feee
on
أَيَّامٖ
ʹAyyaamim
days
مَّعۡلُومَٰتٍ
Maʻloomaatin
known
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
over
مَا
maa-
what
رَزَقَهُم
razaq̣ahum
He has provided them
مِّنۢ
mim
of
بَهِيمَةِ
baheematil
(the) beast
ٱلۡأَنۡعَٰمِۖ
ʹanʻaam:
(of) cattle
فَكُلُواْ
fakuloo
So eat
مِنۡهَا
minhaa
of them
وَأَطۡعِمُواْ
wa-ʹaṭʻimul
and feed
ٱلۡبَآئِسَ
baaaʹisal
the miserable
ٱلۡفَقِيرَ
faq̣eer.
the poor
٢٨
22:29
ثُمَّ
S̤ummal
Then
لۡيَقۡضُواْ
yaq̣ḍoo
let them end
تَفَثَهُمۡ
tafas̤ahum
their prescribed duties
وَلۡيُوفُواْ
wal-yoofoo
and fulfil
نُذُورَهُمۡ
nuẓoorahum
their vows
وَلۡيَطَّوَّفُواْ
wal-yaṭṭawwafoo
and circumambulate
بِٱلۡبَيۡتِ
bil-Baytil
the House
ٱلۡعَتِيقِ
ʻAteeq̣.
[the] Ancient
٢٩
22:30
ذَٰلِكَۖ
Ẓaalika
That
وَمَن
wa-mañy
and whoever
يُعَظِّمۡ
yuʻaz̤̣z̤̣im
honors
حُرُمَٰتِ
Ḥurumaatil
(the) sacred rites
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
فَهُوَ
fahuwa
then it
خَيۡرٞ
khayrul
(is) best
لَّهُۥ
lahoo
for him
عِندَ
ʻiñda
near
رَبِّهِۦۗ
Rabbih.
his Lord
وَأُحِلَّتۡ
Wa-ʹuḥillat
And are made lawful
لَكُمُ
lakumul
to you
ٱلۡأَنۡعَٰمُ
ʹanʻaamu
the cattle
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
except
مَا
maa-
what
يُتۡلَىٰ
yutlaa
is recited
عَلَيۡكُمۡۖ
ʻalaykum
to you
فَٱجۡتَنِبُواْ
fajtanibur
So avoid
ٱلرِّجۡسَ
rijsa
the abomination
مِنَ
minal
of
ٱلۡأَوۡثَٰنِ
ʹaws̤aani
the idols
وَٱجۡتَنِبُواْ
wajtaniboo
and avoid
قَوۡلَ
q̣awlaz
(the) word
ٱلزُّورِ
zoor
false

حُنَفَآءَ
Ḥunafaaaʹa
Being upright
لِلَّهِ
lillaahi
to Allah
غَيۡرَ
g̣ayra
not
مُشۡرِكِينَ
mushrikeena
associating partners
بِهِۦۚ
bih:
with Him
وَمَن
wa-mañy
And whoever
يُشۡرِكۡ
yushrik
associates partners
بِٱللَّهِ
billaahi
with Allah
فَكَأَنَّمَا
fakaʹannamaa
then (it is) as though
خَرَّ
kharra
he had fallen
مِنَ
minas
from
ٱلسَّمَآءِ
samaaaʹi
the sky
فَتَخۡطَفُهُ
fatakhṭafuhut
and (had) snatched him
ٱلطَّيۡرُ
ṭayru
the birds
أَوۡ
ʹaw
or
تَهۡوِي
tahwee
had blown
بِهِ
bihir
him
ٱلرِّيحُ
reeḥu
the wind
فِي
fee
to
مَكَانٖ
makaaniñ
a place
سَحِيقٖ
saḥeeq̣.
far off

22:32
ذَٰلِكَۖ
Ẓaalik:
That
وَمَن
wa-mañy
and whoever
يُعَظِّمۡ
yuʻaz̤̣z̤̣im
honors
شَعَٰٓئِرَ
shaʻaaaʹiral
(the) Symbols
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
فَإِنَّهَا
faʹinnahaa
then indeed it
مِن
miñ
(is) from
تَقۡوَى
taq̣wal
(the) piety
ٱلۡقُلُوبِ
q̣uloob.
(of) the hearts
٣٢
22:33
لَكُمۡ
lakum
For you
فِيهَا
feehaa
therein
مَنَٰفِعُ
manaafiʻu
(are) benefits
إِلَىٰٓ
ʹilaaa
for
أَجَلٖ
ʹajalim
a term
مُّسَمّٗى
musammañ
appointed
ثُمَّ
s̤umma
then
مَحِلُّهَآ
maḥilluhaaa
their place of sacrifice
إِلَى
ʹilal
(is) at
ٱلۡبَيۡتِ
Baytil
the House
ٱلۡعَتِيقِ
ʻAteeq̣.
the Ancient
٣٣
22:34
وَلِكُلِّ
Wa-likulli
And for every
أُمَّةٖ
ʹummatiñ
nation
جَعَلۡنَا
jaʻalnaa
We have appointed
مَنسَكٗا
mañsakal
a rite
لِّيَذۡكُرُواْ
liyaẓkurus
that they may mention
ٱسۡمَ
mal
(the) name
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
over
مَا
maa-
what
رَزَقَهُم
razaq̣ahum
He (has) provided them
مِّنۢ
mim
of
بَهِيمَةِ
baheematil
(the) beast
ٱلۡأَنۡعَٰمِۗ
ʹanʻaam.
(of) cattle
فَإِلَٰهُكُمۡ
FaʹIlaahukum
And your God
إِلَٰهٞ
ʹIlaahuñw
(is) God
وَٰحِدٞ
Waaḥiduñ
One
فَلَهُۥٓ
falahooo
so to Him
أَسۡلِمُواْۗ
ʹaslimoo:
submit
وَبَشِّرِ
wa-bashshiril
And give glad tidings
ٱلۡمُخۡبِتِينَ
Mukhbiteen,
(to) the humble ones
٣٤
22:35
ٱلَّذِينَ
ʹAllaẓeena
Those
إِذَا
ʹiẓaa
when
ذُكِرَ
ẓukiral
is mentioned
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
وَجِلَتۡ
wajilat
fear
قُلُوبُهُمۡ
q̣uloobuhum
their hearts
وَٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ
waṣ-Ṣaabireena
and those who are patient
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
over
مَآ
maaa
whatever
أَصَابَهُمۡ
ʹaṣaabahum
has afflicted them
وَٱلۡمُقِيمِي
walmuq̣eemiṣ
and those who establish
ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ
Ṣalaati
the prayer
وَمِمَّا
wa-mimmaa
and out of what
رَزَقۡنَٰهُمۡ
razaq̣naahum
We have provided them
يُنفِقُونَ
yuñfiq̣oon.
they spend
٣٥
22:36
وَٱلۡبُدۡنَ
Walbudna
And the camels and cattle
جَعَلۡنَٰهَا
jaʻalnaahaa
We have made them
لَكُم
lakum
for you
مِّن
miñ
among
شَعَٰٓئِرِ
Shaʻaaaʹiril
(the) Symbols
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
لَكُمۡ
lakum
for you
فِيهَا
feehaa
therein
خَيۡرٞۖ
khayr:
(is) good
فَٱذۡكُرُواْ
faẓkurus
So mention
ٱسۡمَ
mal
(the) name
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
عَلَيۡهَا
ʻalayhaa
over them
صَوَآفَّۖ
ṣawaaaff:
(when) lined up
فَإِذَا
faʹiẓaa
and when
وَجَبَتۡ
wajabat
are down
جُنُوبُهَا
junoobuhaa
their sides
فَكُلُواْ
fakuloo
then eat
مِنۡهَا
minhaa
from them
وَأَطۡعِمُواْ
wa-ʹaṭʻimul
and feed
ٱلۡقَانِعَ
q̣aaniʻa
the needy who do not ask
وَٱلۡمُعۡتَرَّۚ
walmuʻtarr:
and the needy who ask
كَذَٰلِكَ
kaẓaalika
Thus
سَخَّرۡنَٰهَا
sakhkharnaahaa
We have subjected them
لَكُمۡ
lakum
to you
لَعَلَّكُمۡ
laʻallakum
so that you may
تَشۡكُرُونَ
tashkuroon.
be grateful
٣٦
22:37
لَن
Lañy
Will not
يَنَالَ
yanaalal
reach
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
لُحُومُهَا
luḥoomuhaa
their meat
وَلَا
wa-laa
and not
دِمَآؤُهَا
dimaaaʹuhaa
their blood
وَلَٰكِن
wa-laakiñy
but
يَنَالُهُ
yanaaluhut
reaches Him
ٱلتَّقۡوَىٰ
Taq̣waa
the piety
مِنكُمۡۚ
miñkum;
from you
كَذَٰلِكَ
kaẓaalika
Thus
سَخَّرَهَا
sakhkharahaa
He subjected them
لَكُمۡ
lakum
to you
لِتُكَبِّرُواْ
litukabbirul
so that you may magnify
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
for
مَا
maa-
what
هَدَىٰكُمۡۗ
hadaakum:
He has guided you
وَبَشِّرِ
wa-bashshiril
And give glad tidings
ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِينَ
Muḥsineen.
(to) the good-doers
٣٧
22:38
۞إِنَّ
ʹInnal
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
يُدَٰفِعُ
yudaafiʻu
defends
عَنِ
ʻanil
defends
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
ءَامَنُوٓاْۗ
ʹaamanoo:
believe
إِنَّ
ʹinnal
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
لَا
laa-
(does) not
يُحِبُّ
yuḥibbu
like
كُلَّ
kulla
every
خَوَّانٖ
khawwaaniñ
treacherous
كَفُورٍ
kafoor.
ungrateful

22:39
أُذِنَ
ʹUẓina
Permission is given
لِلَّذِينَ
lillaẓeena
to those who
يُقَٰتَلُونَ
yuq̣aataloona
are being fought
بِأَنَّهُمۡ
biʹannahum
because they
ظُلِمُواْۚ
z̤̣ulimoo;
were wronged
وَإِنَّ
wa-ʹinnal
And indeed
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
for
نَصۡرِهِمۡ
naṣrihim
their victory
لَقَدِيرٌ
la-Q̣adeer;
(is) surely Able
٣٩
22:40
ٱلَّذِينَ
ʹAllaẓeena
Those who
أُخۡرِجُواْ
ʹukhrijoo
have been evicted
مِن
miñ
from
دِيَٰرِهِم
diyaarihim̃
their homes
بِغَيۡرِ
big̣ayri
without
حَقٍّ
ḥaq̣q̣in
right
إِلَّآ
ʹillaaa
except
أَن
ʹañy
that
يَقُولُواْ
yaq̣ooloo
they said
رَبُّنَا
Rabbunallaah.
Our Lord
ٱللَّهُۗ
Wa-law
(is) Allah
وَلَوۡلَا
laa-
And if not
دَفۡعُ
dafʻul
Allah checks
ٱللَّهِ
laahin
Allah checks
ٱلنَّاسَ
naasa
the people
بَعۡضَهُم
baʻḍahum̃
some of them
بِبَعۡضٖ
bibaʻḍil
by others
لَّهُدِّمَتۡ
lahuddimat
surely (would) have been demolished
صَوَٰمِعُ
ṣawaamiʹu
monasteries
وَبِيَعٞ
wa-biyaʻuñw
and churches
وَصَلَوَٰتٞ
waṣalawaatuñw
and synagogues
وَمَسَٰجِدُ
wamasaajidu
and masajid
يُذۡكَرُ
yuẓkaru
is mentioned
فِيهَا
feehas
in it
ٱسۡمُ
mul
(the) name of Allah
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(the) name of Allah
كَثِيرٗاۗ
kas̤eeraa.
much
وَلَيَنصُرَنَّ
Wa-layañṣurannal
And surely Allah will help
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
And surely Allah will help
مَن
mañy
(those) who
يَنصُرُهُۥٓۚ
yañṣuruh;
help Him
إِنَّ
ʹinnal
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
لَقَوِيٌّ
la-Q̣awiyyun
(is) surely All-Strong
عَزِيزٌ
ʻAzeez.
All-Mighty
٤٠
22:41
ٱلَّذِينَ
ʹAllaẓeena
Those who
إِن
ʹim
if
مَّكَّنَّٰهُمۡ
makkannaahum
We establish them
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
ʹarḍi
the land
أَقَامُواْ
ʹaq̣aamuṣ
they establish
ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ
Ṣalaata
the prayer
وَءَاتَوُاْ
wa-ʹaatawuz
and they give
ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ
Zakaata
zakah
وَأَمَرُواْ
wa-ʹamaroo
and they enjoin
بِٱلۡمَعۡرُوفِ
bilmaʻroofi
the right
وَنَهَوۡاْ
wa-nahaw
and forbid
عَنِ
ʻanil
from
ٱلۡمُنكَرِۗ
muñkar:
the wrong
وَلِلَّهِ
wa-lillaahi
And for Allah
عَٰقِبَةُ
ʻaaq̣ibatul
(is the) end
ٱلۡأُمُورِ
ʹumoor.
(of) the matters
٤١
22:42
وَإِن
Wa-ʹiñy
And if
يُكَذِّبُوكَ
yukaẓẓibooka
they deny you
فَقَدۡ
faq̣ad
so verily
كَذَّبَتۡ
kaẓẓabat
denied
قَبۡلَهُمۡ
q̣ablahum
before them
قَوۡمُ
Q̣awmu
(the) people
نُوحٖ
Nooḥiñw
(of) Nuh
وَعَادٞ
waʻAaduñw
and Aad
وَثَمُودُ
wa-S̤amood;
and Thamud
٤٢
22:43
وَقَوۡمُ
Wa-Q̣awmu
And (the) people
إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ
ʹIbraaheema
(of) Ibrahim
وَقَوۡمُ
wa-Q̣awmu
and (the) people
لُوطٖ
Looṭ;
(of) Lut
٤٣
22:44
وَأَصۡحَٰبُ
Wa-ʹAṣḥaabu
And the inhabitants
مَدۡيَنَۖ
madyan;
(of) Madyan
وَكُذِّبَ
wa-kuẓẓiba
And Musa was denied
مُوسَىٰۖ
Moosaa
And Musa was denied
فَأَمۡلَيۡتُ
faʹamlaytu
so I granted respite
لِلۡكَٰفِرِينَ
lilkaafireena
to the disbelievers
ثُمَّ
s̤umma
then
أَخَذۡتُهُمۡۖ
ʹakhaẓtuhum:
I seized them
فَكَيۡفَ
fakayfa
and how
كَانَ
kaana
was
نَكِيرِ
nakeer!
My punishment
٤٤
22:45
فَكَأَيِّن
Fakaʹayyim
And how many
مِّن
miñ
of
قَرۡيَةٍ
q̣aryatin
a township
أَهۡلَكۡنَٰهَا
ʹahlaknaahaa
We have destroyed it
وَهِيَ
wa-hiya
while it
ظَالِمَةٞ
z̤̣aalimatuñ
was doing wrong
فَهِيَ
fahiya
so it
خَاوِيَةٌ
khaawiyatun
fell
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
on
عُرُوشِهَا
ʻurooshihaa
its roofs
وَبِئۡرٖ
wa-biʹrim
and well
مُّعَطَّلَةٖ
muʻaṭṭalatiñw
abandoned
وَقَصۡرٖ
waq̣aṣrim
and castle
مَّشِيدٍ
masheed?
lofty
٤٥
22:46
أَفَلَمۡ
ʹAfalam
So have not
يَسِيرُواْ
yaseeroo
they traveled
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
ʹarḍi
the land
فَتَكُونَ
fatakoona
and is
لَهُمۡ
lahum
for them
قُلُوبٞ
q̣uloobuñy
hearts
يَعۡقِلُونَ
yaʻq̣iloona
(to) reason
بِهَآ
bihaaa
with it
أَوۡ
ʹaw
or
ءَاذَانٞ
ʹaaẓaanuñy
ears
يَسۡمَعُونَ
yasmaʻoona
(to) hear
بِهَاۖ
bihaa?
with it
فَإِنَّهَا
Faʹinnahaa
For indeed [it]
لَا
laa-
not
تَعۡمَى
taʻmal
(are) blinded
ٱلۡأَبۡصَٰرُ
ʹabṣaaru
the eyes
وَلَٰكِن
wa-laakiñ
but
تَعۡمَى
taʻmal
(are) blinded
ٱلۡقُلُوبُ
q̣uloobul
the hearts
ٱلَّتِي
latee
which
فِي
fiṣ
(are) in
ٱلصُّدُورِ
ṣudoor.
the breasts
٤٦

22:47
وَيَسۡتَعۡجِلُونَكَ
Wa-yastaʻjiloonaka
And they ask you to hasten
بِٱلۡعَذَابِ
bilʻAẓaabi
the punishment
وَلَن
wa-lañy
But never will
يُخۡلِفَ
yukhlifal
fail/violate
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
وَعۡدَهُۥۚ
waʻdaḥ
(in) His Promise
وَإِنَّ
Wa-ʹinna
And indeed
يَوۡمًا
yawman
a day
عِندَ
ʻiñda
with
رَبِّكَ
Rabbika
your Lord
كَأَلۡفِ
kaʹalfi
(is) like a thousand
سَنَةٖ
sanatim
year(s)
مِّمَّا
mimmaa
of what
تَعُدُّونَ
taʻuddoon.
you count
٤٧
22:48
وَكَأَيِّن
Wa-kaʹayyim
And how many
مِّن
miñ
of
قَرۡيَةٍ
q̣aryatin
a township
أَمۡلَيۡتُ
ʹamlaytu
I gave respite
لَهَا
lahaa
to it
وَهِيَ
wa-hiya
while it
ظَالِمَةٞ
z̤̣aalimatuñ
(was) doing wrong
ثُمَّ
s̤umma
Then
أَخَذۡتُهَا
ʹakhaẓtuhaa.
I seized it
وَإِلَيَّ
Wa-ʹilayyal
and to Me
ٱلۡمَصِيرُ
maṣeer.
(is) the destination
٤٨
22:49
قُلۡ
Q̣ul
Say
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
Yaaaʹayyuhan
O mankind
ٱلنَّاسُ
naasu
O mankind
إِنَّمَآ
ʹinnamaaa
Only
أَنَا۠
ʹana
I am
لَكُمۡ
lakum
to you
نَذِيرٞ
naẓeerum
a warner
مُّبِينٞ
mubeen.
clear
٤٩
22:50
فَٱلَّذِينَ
Fallaẓeena
So those who
ءَامَنُواْ
ʹaamanoo
believe
وَعَمِلُواْ
wa-ʻamiluṣ
and do
ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ
Ṣaaliḥaati
righteous deeds
لَهُم
lahum
for them
مَّغۡفِرَةٞ
mag̣hfiratuñw
(is) forgiveness
وَرِزۡقٞ
warizq̣uñ
and a provision
كَرِيمٞ
kareem.
noble
٥٠
