الٓرۚ
ʹAlif-laaam-Raa.
Alif Lam Ra
كِتَٰبٌ
Kitaabun
(This is) a Book
أُحۡكِمَتۡ
ʹuḥkimat
are perfected
ءَايَٰتُهُۥ
ʹAayaatuhoo
its Verses
ثُمَّ
s̤umma
moreover
فُصِّلَتۡ
fuṣṣilat
explained in detail
مِن
mil
from (he One Who)
لَّدُنۡ
ladun
from (he One Who)
حَكِيمٍ
Ḥakeemin
(is) All-Wise
خَبِيرٍ
Khabeer.
All-Aware
١
11:2
أَلَّا
ʹAllaa
That Not
تَعۡبُدُوٓاْ
taʻbudooo
you worship
إِلَّا
ʹillal
but
ٱللَّهَۚ
laah.
Allah
إِنَّنِي
ʹInnanee
Indeed I am
لَكُم
lakum
to you
مِّنۡهُ
minhu
from Him
نَذِيرٞ
naẓeeruñw
a warner
وَبَشِيرٞ
wa-basheer!
and a bearer of glad tidings
٢
11:3
وَأَنِ
Wa-ʹanis
And that
ٱسۡتَغۡفِرُواْ
tag̣firoo
Seek forgiveness
رَبَّكُمۡ
Rabbakum
(of) your Lord
ثُمَّ
s̤umma
and
تُوبُوٓاْ
toobooo
turn in repentance
إِلَيۡهِ
ʹilayhi
to Him
يُمَتِّعۡكُم
yumattiʻkum
He will let you
مَّتَٰعًا
mataaʻan
enjoy
حَسَنًا
ḥasanan
a good
إِلَىٰٓ
ʹilaaa
for
أَجَلٖ
ʹajalim
a term
مُّسَمّٗى
musammañw
appointed
وَيُؤۡتِ
wayuʹti
And give
كُلَّ
kulla
(to) every
ذِي
ẓee
owner
فَضۡلٖ
faḍliñ
(of) grace
فَضۡلَهُۥۖ
faḍlah!
His Grace
وَإِن
Wa-ʹiñ
But if
تَوَلَّوۡاْ
tawallaw
you turn away
فَإِنِّيٓ
faʹinneee
then indeed I
أَخَافُ
ʹakhaafu
fear
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
ʻalaykum
for you
عَذَابَ
ʻAẓaaba
(the) punishment
يَوۡمٖ
Yawmiñ
(of) a Great Day
كَبِيرٍ
Kabeer.
(of) a Great Day
٣
11:4
إِلَى
ʹIlal
To
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
مَرۡجِعُكُمۡۖ
marjiʻukum,
(is) your return
وَهُوَ
wa-Huwa
and He
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
(is) on
كُلِّ
kulli
every
شَيۡءٖ
shayʹiñ
thing
قَدِيرٌ
Q̣adeer.
All-Powerful
٤
11:5
أَلَآ
ʹAlaaa
No doubt
إِنَّهُمۡ
ʹinnahum
They
يَثۡنُونَ
yas̤noona
fold up
صُدُورَهُمۡ
ṣudoorahum
their breasts
لِيَسۡتَخۡفُواْ
liyastakhfoo
that they may hide
مِنۡهُۚ
minh!
from Him
أَلَا
ʹAlaa
Surely
حِينَ
ḥeena
when
يَسۡتَغۡشُونَ
yastag̣shoona
they cover (themselves)
ثِيَابَهُمۡ
s̤iyaabahum
(with) their garments
يَعۡلَمُ
yaʻlamu
He knows
مَا
maa-
what
يُسِرُّونَ
yusirroona
they conceal
وَمَا
wa-maa
and what
يُعۡلِنُونَۚ
yuʻlinoon:
they reveal
إِنَّهُۥ
ʹinnahoo
Indeed He
عَلِيمُۢ
ʻAleemum
(is) All-Knower
بِذَاتِ
biẓaatiṣ
of what
ٱلصُّدُورِ
ṣudoor.
(is in) the breasts

۞وَمَا
Wa-maa
And not
مِن
miñ
any
دَآبَّةٖ
daaabbatiñ
moving creature
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
ʹarḍi
the earth
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
but
عَلَى
ʻalal
on
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
رِزۡقُهَا
rizq̣uhaa
(is) its provision
وَيَعۡلَمُ
wa-yaʻlamu
And He knows
مُسۡتَقَرَّهَا
mustaq̣arrahaa
its dwelling place
وَمُسۡتَوۡدَعَهَاۚ
wa-mustawdaʻahaa:
and its place of storage
كُلّٞ
Kulluñ
All
فِي
fee
(is) in
كِتَٰبٖ
Kitaabim
a Record
مُّبِينٖ
Mubeen.
clear
٦
11:7
وَهُوَ
Wa-Huwal
And He
ٱلَّذِي
laẓee
(is) the One Who
خَلَقَ
khalaq̣as
created
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
samaawaati
the heavens
وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ
wal-ʹarḍa
and the earth
فِي
fee
in
سِتَّةِ
Sittati
six
أَيَّامٖ
ʹayyaamiñw
epochs
وَكَانَ
Wakaana
and His throne was
عَرۡشُهُۥ
ʻArshuhoo
and His throne was
عَلَى
ʻalal
on
ٱلۡمَآءِ
Maaaʹi
the water
لِيَبۡلُوَكُمۡ
liyabluwakum
that He might test [you]
أَيُّكُمۡ
ʹayyukum
which of you
أَحۡسَنُ
ʹaḥsanu
(is) best
عَمَلٗاۗ
ʻamalaa.
(in) deed
وَلَئِن
Wa-laʹiñ
But if
قُلۡتَ
q̣ulta
you say
إِنَّكُم
ʹinnakum
Indeed you
مَّبۡعُوثُونَ
mabʻoos̤oona
(will be) resurrected
مِنۢ
mim
after
بَعۡدِ
baʻdil
after
ٱلۡمَوۡتِ
mawti
[the] death
لَيَقُولَنَّ
layaq̣oolannal
surely would say
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
كَفَرُوٓاْ
kafarooo
disbelieved
إِنۡ
ʹin
This is not
هَٰذَآ
haaẓaaa
This is not
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
but
سِحۡرٞ
siḥrum
a magic
مُّبِينٞ
mubeen!
clear
٧
11:8
وَلَئِنۡ
Wa-laʹin
And if
أَخَّرۡنَا
ʹakhkharnaa
We delay
عَنۡهُمُ
ʻanhumul
from them
ٱلۡعَذَابَ
ʻaẓaaba
the punishment
إِلَىٰٓ
ʹilaaa
for
أُمَّةٖ
ʹummatim
a time
مَّعۡدُودَةٖ
maʻdoodatil
determined
لَّيَقُولُنَّ
layaq̣oolunna
they will surely say
مَا
maa-
What
يَحۡبِسُهُۥٓۗ
yaḥbisuh?
detains it
أَلَا
ʹAlaa
No doubt
يَوۡمَ
yawma
(On) the Day
يَأۡتِيهِمۡ
yaʹteehim
it comes to them
لَيۡسَ
laysa
not
مَصۡرُوفًا
maṣroofan
(will be) averted
عَنۡهُمۡ
ʻanhum
from them
وَحَاقَ
waḥaaq̣a
and will surround
بِهِم
bihim
them
مَّا
maa
what
كَانُواْ
kaanoo
they used (to)
بِهِۦ
bihee
mock at [it]
يَسۡتَهۡزِءُونَ
yastahziʹoon!
mock at [it]
٨
11:9
وَلَئِنۡ
Wa-laʹin
And if
أَذَقۡنَا
ʹaẓaq̣nal
We give man a taste
ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ
ʹiñsaana
We give man a taste
مِنَّا
minnaa
(of) Mercy from Us
رَحۡمَةٗ
Raḥmatañ
(of) Mercy from Us
ثُمَّ
s̤umma
then
نَزَعۡنَٰهَا
nazaʻnaahaa
We withdraw it
مِنۡهُ
minhu,
from him
إِنَّهُۥ
ʹinnahoo
indeed he
لَيَـُٔوسٞ
layaʹoosuñ
(is) despairing
كَفُورٞ
kafoor.
(and) ungrateful
٩
11:10
وَلَئِنۡ
Wa-laʹin
But if
أَذَقۡنَٰهُ
ʹaẓaq̣naahu
We give him a taste
نَعۡمَآءَ
naʻmaaaʹa
(of) favor
بَعۡدَ
baʻda
after
ضَرَّآءَ
ḍarraaaʹa
hardship
مَسَّتۡهُ
massathu
(has) touched him
لَيَقُولَنَّ
layaq̣oolanna
surely he will say
ذَهَبَ
ẓahabas
Have gone
ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتُ
sayyiʹaatu
the evils
عَنِّيٓۚ
ʻannee:
from me
إِنَّهُۥ
ʹinnahoo
Indeed he
لَفَرِحٞ
lafariḥuñ
(is) exultant
فَخُورٌ
fakhoor.
(and) boastful
١٠
11:11
إِلَّا
Illal
Except
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
صَبَرُواْ
ṣabaroo
(are) patient
وَعَمِلُواْ
wa-ʻamiluṣ
and do
ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ
ṣaaliḥaat:
the good deeds
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
ʹulaaaʹika
those
لَهُم
lahum
for them
مَّغۡفِرَةٞ
mag̣firatuñw
(will be) forgiveness
وَأَجۡرٞ
waʹajruñ
and a reward
كَبِيرٞ
Kabeer.
great
١١
11:12
فَلَعَلَّكَ
Falaʻallaka
Then possibly you
تَارِكُۢ
taarikum
(may) give up
بَعۡضَ
baʻḍa
a part
مَا
maa-
(of) what
يُوحَىٰٓ
yooḥaaa
is revealed
إِلَيۡكَ
ʹilayka
to you
وَضَآئِقُۢ
wa-ḍaaaʹiq̣um
and straitened
بِهِۦ
bihee
by it
صَدۡرُكَ
ṣadruka
your breast
أَن
ʹañy
because
يَقُولُواْ
yaq̣ooloo
they say
لَوۡلَآ
laaa-law
Why not
أُنزِلَ
ʹuñzila
is sent down
عَلَيۡهِ
ʻalayhi
for him
كَنزٌ
kañzun
a treasure
أَوۡ
ʹaw
or
جَآءَ
jaaaʹa
has come
مَعَهُۥ
maʻahoo
with him
مَلَكٌۚ
malak?
an Angel
إِنَّمَآ
ʹInnamaaa
Only
أَنتَ
ʹañta
you
نَذِيرٞۚ
naẓeer!
(are) a warner
وَٱللَّهُ
Wallaahu
And Allah
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
(is) on
كُلِّ
kulli
every
شَيۡءٖ
shayʹiñw
thing
وَكِيلٌ
Wakeel!
a Guardian

11:13
أَمۡ
ʹAm
Or
يَقُولُونَ
yaq̣ooloonaf
they say
ٱفۡتَرَىٰهُۖ
taraah.
He has fabricated it
قُلۡ
Q̣ul
Say
فَأۡتُواْ
faʹtoo
Then bring
بِعَشۡرِ
biʻashri
ten
سُوَرٖ
Suwarim
Surahs
مِّثۡلِهِۦ
mis̤lihee
like it
مُفۡتَرَيَٰتٖ
muftarayaatiñw
fabricated
وَٱدۡعُواْ
wadʻoo
and call
مَنِ
manis
whoever
ٱسۡتَطَعۡتُم
taṭaʻtum
you can
مِّن
miñ
besides Allah
دُونِ
doonil
besides Allah
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
besides Allah
إِن
ʹiñ
if
كُنتُمۡ
kuñtum
you are
صَٰدِقِينَ
ṣaadiq̣een.
truthful
١٣
11:14
فَإِلَّمۡ
Faʹillam
Then if not
يَسۡتَجِيبُواْ
yastajeeboo
they respond
لَكُمۡ
lakum
to you
فَٱعۡلَمُوٓاْ
faʻlamooo
then know
أَنَّمَآ
annamaaa
that
أُنزِلَ
ʹuñzila
it was sent down
بِعِلۡمِ
biʻilmil
with the knowledge of Allah
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
with the knowledge of Allah
وَأَن
wa-ʹal
and that
لَّآ
laaa
(there is) no
إِلَٰهَ
ʹilaaha
god
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
except
هُوَۖ
Hoo!
Him
فَهَلۡ
Fahal
Then would
أَنتُم
ʹañtum
you
مُّسۡلِمُونَ
Muslimoon?
(be) Muslims
١٤
11:15
مَن
Mañ
Whoever [is]
كَانَ
kaana
Whoever [is]
يُرِيدُ
yureedul
desires
ٱلۡحَيَوٰةَ
Ḥayaatad
the life
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
Dunyaa
(of) the world
وَزِينَتَهَا
wa-zeenatahaa
and its adornments
نُوَفِّ
nuwaffi
We will repay in full
إِلَيۡهِمۡ
ʹilayhim
to them
أَعۡمَٰلَهُمۡ
ʹaʻmaalahum
(for) their deeds
فِيهَا
feehaa
therein
وَهُمۡ
wa-hum
and they
فِيهَا
feehaa
in it
لَا
laa-
will not be lessened
يُبۡخَسُونَ
yubkhasoon.
will not be lessened
١٥
11:16
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
ʹUlaaaʹikal
Those
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
(are) the ones who
لَيۡسَ
laysa
(is) not
لَهُمۡ
lahum
for them
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ
ʹAakhirati
the Hereafter
إِلَّا
ʹillan
except
ٱلنَّارُۖ
Naar:
the Fire
وَحَبِطَ
Waḥabiṭa
And (has) gone in vain
مَا
maa-
what
صَنَعُواْ
ṣanaʻoo
they did
فِيهَا
feehaa
therein
وَبَٰطِلٞ
wa-baaṭilum
and (is) worthless
مَّا
maa
what
كَانُواْ
kaanoo
they used (to)
يَعۡمَلُونَ
yaʻmaloon!
do
١٦
11:17
أَفَمَن
ʹAfamañ
Then is he who
كَانَ
kaa-na
is
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
on
بَيِّنَةٖ
Bayyinatim
a clear proof
مِّن
mir
from
رَّبِّهِۦ
Rabbihee
his Lord
وَيَتۡلُوهُ
wa-yatloohu
and recites it
شَاهِدٞ
Shaahidum
a witness
مِّنۡهُ
minhu
from Him
وَمِن
wa-miñ
and before it
قَبۡلِهِۦ
q̣ablihee
and before it
كِتَٰبُ
Kitaabu
(was) a Book
مُوسَىٰٓ
Moosaaa
(of) Musa
إِمَامٗا
ʹimaamañw
(as) a guide
وَرَحۡمَةًۚ
Waraḥmah?
and (as) mercy
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
ʹUlaaaʹika
Those
يُؤۡمِنُونَ
yuʹminoona
believe
بِهِۦۚ
bih.
in it
وَمَن
Wa-mañy
But whoever
يَكۡفُرۡ
yakfur
disbelieves
بِهِۦ
bihee
in it
مِنَ
minal
among
ٱلۡأَحۡزَابِ
ʹAḥzaabi
the sects
فَٱلنَّارُ
fan-naaru
then the Fire
مَوۡعِدُهُۥۚ
mawʻiduh.
(will be) his promised (meeting) place
فَلَا
Falaa
So (do) not
تَكُ
taku
be
فِي
fee
in
مِرۡيَةٖ
miryatim
doubt
مِّنۡهُۚ
minh:
about it
إِنَّهُ
ʹinnahul
Indeed it
ٱلۡحَقُّ
Ḥaq̣q̣u
(is) the truth
مِن
mir
from
رَّبِّكَ
Rabbika
your Lord
وَلَٰكِنَّ
wa-laakinna
but
أَكۡثَرَ
ʹaks̤aran
most
ٱلنَّاسِ
naasi
(of) the people
لَا
laa-
(do) not
يُؤۡمِنُونَ
yuʹminoon!
believe
١٧
11:18
وَمَنۡ
Wa-man
And who
أَظۡلَمُ
ʹaz̤̣lamu
(is) more unjust
مِمَّنِ
mimmanif
than (he) who
ٱفۡتَرَىٰ
taraa
invents
عَلَى
ʻalal
against
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
كَذِبًاۚ
kaẓibaa?
a lie
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
ʹUlaaaʹika
Those
يُعۡرَضُونَ
yuʻraḍoona
will be presented
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
before
رَبِّهِمۡ
Rabbihim
their Lord
وَيَقُولُ
wa-yaq̣oolul
and will say
ٱلۡأَشۡهَٰدُ
ʹashhaa
the witnesses
هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ
Duhaaaʹulaaaʹil
These (are)
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
كَذَبُواْ
kaẓaboo
lied
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
against
رَبِّهِمۡۚ
Rabbihim!
their Lord
أَلَا
ʹAlaa
No doubt
لَعۡنَةُ
laʻnatul
(The) curse of Allah
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(The) curse of Allah
عَلَى
ʻalaz̤̣
(is) on
ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
z̤̣aalimeen:
the wrongdoers
١٨
11:19
ٱلَّذِينَ
ʹAllaẓeena
Those who
يَصُدُّونَ
yaṣuddoona
hinder
عَن
ʻañ
from
سَبِيلِ
Sabeelil
(the) way
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
وَيَبۡغُونَهَا
wa-yabg̣oonahaa
and seek (in) it
عِوَجٗا
ʻiwajaa:
crookedness
وَهُم
wa-hum̃
while they
بِٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ
bil
in the Hereafter
هُمۡ
ʹAakhiratihum
[they]
كَٰفِرُونَ
kaafiroon!
(are) disbelievers
١٩

11:20
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
ʹUlaaaʹika
Those
لَمۡ
lam
not
يَكُونُواْ
yakoonoo
will be
مُعۡجِزِينَ
muʻjizeena
(able to) escape
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
ʹarḍi
the earth
وَمَا
wa-maa
and not
كَانَ
kaana
is
لَهُم
lahum
for them
مِّن
miñ
besides
دُونِ
doonil
besides
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
مِنۡ
min
any
أَوۡلِيَآءَۘ
ʹawliyaaaʹ!
protectors
يُضَٰعَفُ
Yuḍaaʻafu
And will be doubled
لَهُمُ
lahumul
for them
ٱلۡعَذَابُۚ
ʻaẓaab!
the punishment
مَا
Maa-
Not
كَانُواْ
kaanoo
they were
يَسۡتَطِيعُونَ
yastaṭeeʻoonas
able
ٱلسَّمۡعَ
samʻa
(to) hear
وَمَا
wa-maa
and not
كَانُواْ
kaanoo
they used (to)
يُبۡصِرُونَ
yubṣiroon.

11:21
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
ʹUlaaaʹikal
Those
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
(are) the ones who
خَسِرُوٓاْ
khasirooo
(have) lost
أَنفُسَهُمۡ
ʹañfusahum
their souls
وَضَلَّ
wa-ḍalla
and lost
عَنۡهُم
ʻanhum
from them
مَّا
maa
(is) what
كَانُواْ
kaanoo
they used
يَفۡتَرُونَ
yaftaroon!
(to) invent
٢١
11:22
لَا
Laa-
No
جَرَمَ
jarama
doubt
أَنَّهُمۡ
ʹannahum
that they
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ
ʹAakhirati
the Hereafter
هُمُ
humul
[they]
ٱلۡأَخۡسَرُونَ
ʹakhsaroon!
(will be) the greatest losers
٢٢
11:23
إِنَّ
ʹInnal
Indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
ءَامَنُواْ
ʹaamanoo
believe
وَعَمِلُواْ
wa-ʻamiluṣ
and do
ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ
ṣaaliḥaati
good deeds
وَأَخۡبَتُوٓاْ
wa-ʹakhbatooo
and humble themselves
إِلَىٰ
ʹilaa
before
رَبِّهِمۡ
Rabbihim
their Lord
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
ʹulaaaʹika
those
أَصۡحَٰبُ
ʹAṣḥaabul
(are the) companions
ٱلۡجَنَّةِۖ
Jannah,
(of) Paradise
هُمۡ
hum
they
فِيهَا
feehaa
in it
خَٰلِدُونَ
khaalidoon!
(will) abide forever
٢٣
11:24
۞مَثَلُ
Mas̤alul
(The) example
ٱلۡفَرِيقَيۡنِ
fareeq̣ayni
(of) the two parties
كَٱلۡأَعۡمَىٰ
kal-ʹaʻmaa
(is) like the blind
وَٱلۡأَصَمِّ
wal-ʹaṣammi
and the deaf
وَٱلۡبَصِيرِ
walbaṣeeri
and the seer
وَٱلسَّمِيعِۚ
wassameeʻ.
and the hearer
هَلۡ
Hal
Are
يَسۡتَوِيَانِ
yastawiyaani
they equal
مَثَلًاۚ
mas̤alaa?
(in) comparison
أَفَلَا
ʹAfalaa
Then will not
تَذَكَّرُونَ
taẓakkaroon?
you take heed
٢٤
11:25
وَلَقَدۡ
Wa-laq̣ad
And verily
أَرۡسَلۡنَا
ʹarsalnaa
We sent
نُوحًا
Nooḥan
Nuh
إِلَىٰ
ʹilaa
to
قَوۡمِهِۦٓ
Q̣awmih:
his people
إِنِّي
ʹinnee
Indeed I am
لَكُمۡ
lakum
to you
نَذِيرٞ
naẓeerum
a warner
مُّبِينٌ
mubeen:
clear
٢٥
11:26
أَن
ʹAl
That
لَّا
laa
(do) not
تَعۡبُدُوٓاْ
taʻbudooo
worship
إِلَّا
ʹillal
except
ٱللَّهَۖ
laah:
Allah
إِنِّيٓ
ʹinneee
Indeed I
أَخَافُ
ʹakhaafu
[I] fear
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
ʻalaykum
for you
عَذَابَ
ʻAẓaaba
(the) punishment
يَوۡمٍ
Yawmin
(of) a Day
أَلِيمٖ
ʹAleem.
painful

11:27
فَقَالَ
Faq̣aalal
So said
ٱلۡمَلَأُ
Malaʹul
the chiefs
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
(of) those who
كَفَرُواْ
kafaroo
disbelieved
مِن
miñ
from
قَوۡمِهِۦ
q̣awmihee
his people
مَا
maa-
Not
نَرَىٰكَ
naraaka
we see you
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
but
بَشَرٗا
basharam
a man
مِّثۡلَنَا
mis̤lanaa
like us
وَمَا
wa-maa
and not
نَرَىٰكَ
naraakat
we see you
ٱتَّبَعَكَ
tabaʻaka
followed [you]
إِلَّا
ʹillal
except
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
هُمۡ
hum
[they]
أَرَاذِلُنَا
ʹaraaẓilunaa
(are) the lowest of us
بَادِيَ
baadiyar
immature in opinion
ٱلرَّأۡيِ

نَظُنُّكُمۡ
naz̤̣unnukum
we think you
كَٰذِبِينَ
kaaẓibeen!
(are) liars

11:28
قَالَ
Q̣aala
He said
يَٰقَوۡمِ
yaa-q̣awmi
O my people
أَرَءَيۡتُمۡ
ʹaraʹaytum
Do you see
إِن
ʹiñ
if
كُنتُ
kuñtu
I was
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
on
بَيِّنَةٖ
Bayyinatim
(the) clear proof
مِّن
mir
from
رَّبِّي
Rabbee
my Lord
وَءَاتَىٰنِي
wa-ʹaataanee
while He has given me
رَحۡمَةٗ
Raḥmatam
mercy
مِّنۡ
min
from
عِندِهِۦ
ʻIñdihee
Himself
فَعُمِّيَتۡ
faʻummiyat
but (it) has been obscured
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
ʻalaykum?
from you
أَنُلۡزِمُكُمُوهَا
ʹAnulzimukumoohaa
should We compel you (to accept) it
وَأَنتُمۡ
wa-ʹañtum
while you (are)
لَهَا
lahaa
averse to it
كَٰرِهُونَ
kaarihoon?
averse to it

وَيَٰقَوۡمِ
Wa-yaaq̣awmi
And O my people
لَآ
laaa
not
أَسۡـَٔلُكُمۡ
ʹasʹalukum
I ask (of) you
عَلَيۡهِ
ʻalayhi
for it
مَالًاۖ
maalaa:
any wealth
إِنۡ
ʹin
Not
أَجۡرِيَ
ʹajriya
(is) my reward
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
except
عَلَى
ʻalal
from
ٱللَّهِۚ
laahi
Allah
وَمَآ
wa-maaa
And not
أَنَا۠
ʹana
I am
بِطَارِدِ
biṭaaridil
going to drive away
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
ءَامَنُوٓاْۚ
ʹaamanoo:
believed
إِنَّهُم
ʹinnahum
Indeed they
مُّلَٰقُواْ
mulaaq̣oo
(will) be meeting
رَبِّهِمۡ
Rabbihim
their Lord
وَلَٰكِنِّيٓ
wa-laakinneee
but I
أَرَىٰكُمۡ
ʹaraakum
see you
قَوۡمٗا
q̣awmañ
(are) a people
تَجۡهَلُونَ
tajhaloon!
ignorant
٢٩
11:30
وَيَٰقَوۡمِ
Wa-yaaq̣awmi
And O my people
مَن
mañy
Who
يَنصُرُنِي
yañṣurunee
would help me
مِنَ
minal
against
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
إِن
ʹiñ
if
طَرَدتُّهُمۡۚ
ṭarattuhum?
I drove them away
أَفَلَا
ʹAfalaa
Then will not
تَذَكَّرُونَ
taẓakkaroon!
you take heed
٣٠
11:31
وَلَآ
Wa-laaa
And not
أَقُولُ
ʹaq̣oolu
I say
لَكُمۡ
lakum
to you
عِندِي
ʻiñdee
(that) with me
خَزَآئِنُ
khazaaaʹinul
(are the) treasures
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
وَلَآ
wa-laaa
and not
أَعۡلَمُ
ʹaʻlamul
I know
ٱلۡغَيۡبَ
g̣ayba
the unseen
وَلَآ
wa-laaa
and not
أَقُولُ
ʹaq̣oolu
I say
إِنِّي
ʹinnee
that I am
مَلَكٞ
malakuñw
an Angel
وَلَآ
walaaa
and not
أَقُولُ
ʹaq̣oolu
I say
لِلَّذِينَ
lillaẓeena
for those whom
تَزۡدَرِيٓ
tazdareee
look down upon
أَعۡيُنُكُمۡ
ʹaʻyunukum
your eyes
لَن
lañy
never
يُؤۡتِيَهُمُ
yuʹtiyahumul
will Allah give them
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
will Allah give them
خَيۡرًاۖ
khayraa:
any good
ٱللَّهُ
ʹAllaahu
Allah
أَعۡلَمُ
ʹaʻlamu
knows best
بِمَا
bimaa
what
فِيٓ
feee
(is) in
أَنفُسِهِمۡ
ʹañfusihim:
their souls
إِنِّيٓ
ʹinneee
Indeed I
إِذٗا
ʹiẓal
then
لَّمِنَ
laminaz̤̣
(will be) surely of
ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
z̤̣aalimeen.
the wrongdoers
٣١
11:32
قَالُواْ
Q̣aaloo
They said
يَٰنُوحُ
yaa-Nooḥu
O Nuh
قَدۡ
q̣ad
Indeed
جَٰدَلۡتَنَا
jaadaltanaa
you disputed with us
فَأَكۡثَرۡتَ
faʹaks̤arta
and you (have been) frequent
جِدَٰلَنَا
jidaalanaa
(in) dispute with us
فَأۡتِنَا
faʹtinaa
So bring us
بِمَا
bimaa
what
تَعِدُنَآ
taʻidunaaa
you threaten us (with)
إِن
ʹiñ
if
كُنتَ
kuñta
you are
مِنَ
minaṣ
of
ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ
ṣaadiq̣een?
the truthful
٣٢
11:33
قَالَ
Q̣aala
He said
إِنَّمَا
ʹinnamaa
Only
يَأۡتِيكُم
yaʹteekum̃
will bring it (on) you
بِهِ
bihil
will bring it (on) you
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
إِن
ʹiñ
if
شَآءَ
shaaʹa
He wills
وَمَآ
wa-maaa
and not
أَنتُم
ʹañtum̃
you (are)
بِمُعۡجِزِينَ
bimuʻjizeen!
one who (can) escape (it)
٣٣
11:34
وَلَا
Wa-laa
And (will) not
يَنفَعُكُمۡ
yañfaʻukum
benefit you
نُصۡحِيٓ
nuṣḥeee
my advice
إِنۡ
ʹin
(even) if
أَرَدتُّ
ʹarattu
I wish
أَنۡ
ʹan
to
أَنصَحَ
ʹañṣaḥa
[I] advise
لَكُمۡ
lakum
[to] you
إِن
ʹiñ
if
كَانَ
kaanal
it was Allah's
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
it was Allah's
يُرِيدُ
yureedu
will
أَن
ʹañy
to
يُغۡوِيَكُمۡۚ
yug̣wiyakum:
let you go astray
هُوَ
Huwa
He (is)
رَبُّكُمۡ
Rabbukum!
your Lord
وَإِلَيۡهِ
wa-ʹilayhi
and to Him
تُرۡجَعُونَ
turjaʻoon!
you will be returned

11:35
أَمۡ
ʹAm
Or
يَقُولُونَ
yaq̣ooloonaf
(do) they say
ٱفۡتَرَىٰهُۖ
taraah?
He has invented it
قُلۡ
Q̣ul
Say
إِنِ
ʹinif
If
ٱفۡتَرَيۡتُهُۥ
taraytuhoo
I have invented it
فَعَلَيَّ
faʻalayya
then on me
إِجۡرَامِي
ʹijraamee
(is) my crime
وَأَنَا۠
wa-ʹana
but I am
بَرِيٓءٞ
bareeeʹum
innocent
مِّمَّا
mimmaa
of what
تُجۡرِمُونَ
tujrimoon!
crimes you commit
٣٥
11:36
وَأُوحِيَ
Wa-ʹooḥiya
And it was revealed
إِلَىٰ
ʹilaa
to
نُوحٍ
Nooḥin
Nuh
أَنَّهُۥ
ʹannahu
That
لَن
lañy
will never
يُؤۡمِنَ
yuʹmina
believe
مِن
miñ
from
قَوۡمِكَ
q̣awmika
your people
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
except
مَن
mañ
(those) who
قَدۡ
q̣ad
have already
ءَامَنَ
ʹaamana
believed
فَلَا
falaa
So (do) not
تَبۡتَئِسۡ
tabtaʹis
(be) distressed
بِمَا
bimaa
by what
كَانُواْ
kaanoo
they have been
يَفۡعَلُونَ
yafʻaloon.
doing
٣٦
11:37
وَٱصۡنَعِ
Waṣnaʻil
And construct
ٱلۡفُلۡكَ
Fulka
the ship
بِأَعۡيُنِنَا
biʹaʻyuninaa
under Our Eyes
وَوَحۡيِنَا
wa-Waḥyinaa
and Our inspiration
وَلَا
wa-laa
and (do) not
تُخَٰطِبۡنِي
tukhaaṭibnee
address Me
فِي
fil
concerning
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
ظَلَمُوٓاْ
z̤̣alamoo:
wronged
إِنَّهُم
ʹinnahum
indeed they (are)
مُّغۡرَقُونَ
mug̣raq̣oon.
the ones (to be) drowned

وَيَصۡنَعُ
Wa-yaṣnaʻul
And he was constructing
ٱلۡفُلۡكَ
Fulk:
the ship
وَكُلَّمَا
wa-kullamaa
and every time
مَرَّ
marra
passed
عَلَيۡهِ
ʻalayhi
by him
مَلَأٞ
malaʹum
(the) chiefs
مِّن
miñ
of
قَوۡمِهِۦ
q̣awmihee
his people
سَخِرُواْ
sakhiroo
they ridiculed
مِنۡهُۚ
minh.
[of] him
قَالَ
Q̣aala
He said
إِن
ʹiñ
If
تَسۡخَرُواْ
taskharoo
you ridicule
مِنَّا
minnaa
us
فَإِنَّا
faʹinnaa
then we
نَسۡخَرُ
naskharu
can ridicule
مِنكُمۡ
miñkum
you
كَمَا
kamaa
as
تَسۡخَرُونَ
taskharoon!
you ridicule
٣٨
11:39
فَسَوۡفَ
Fasawfa
And soon
تَعۡلَمُونَ
taʻlamoona
you will know
مَن
mañy
(on) whom
يَأۡتِيهِ
yaʹteehi
will come
عَذَابٞ
ʻAẓaabuñy
a punishment
يُخۡزِيهِ
yukhzeehi
(that) will disgrace him
وَيَحِلُّ
wa-yaḥillu
and will descend
عَلَيۡهِ
ʻalayhi
on him
عَذَابٞ
ʻaẓaabum
a punishment
مُّقِيمٌ
muq̣eem:
lasting
٣٩
11:40
حَتَّىٰٓ
Ḥattaaa
Till
إِذَا
ʹiẓaa
when
جَآءَ
jaaaʹa
came
أَمۡرُنَا
ʹAmrunaa
Our command
وَفَارَ
wa-faarat
and overflowed
ٱلتَّنُّورُ
tannooru
the oven
قُلۡنَا
q̣ulnaḥ
We said
ٱحۡمِلۡ
mil
Load
فِيهَا
feehaa
in it
مِن
miñ
of
كُلّٖ
kulliñ
every kind
زَوۡجَيۡنِ
zawjaynis̤
a pair
ٱثۡنَيۡنِ
nayni
two
وَأَهۡلَكَ
wa-ʹahlaka
and your family
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
except
مَن
mañ
who
سَبَقَ
sabaq̣a
has preceded
عَلَيۡهِ
ʻalayhil
against him
ٱلۡقَوۡلُ
Q̣awlu
the word
وَمَنۡ
wa-man
and whoever
ءَامَنَۚ
ʹaaman.
believed
وَمَآ
Wa-maaa
And not
ءَامَنَ
ʹaamana
believed
مَعَهُۥٓ
maʻahooo
with him
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
except
قَلِيلٞ
q̣aleel.
a few
٤٠
11:41
۞وَقَالَ
Wa-q̣aalar
And he said
ٱرۡكَبُواْ
kaboo
Embark
فِيهَا
feeha
in it
بِسۡمِ
bismil
in the name
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
of Allah
مَجۡر۪ىٰهَا
majraihaa
(is) its course
وَمُرۡسَىٰهَآۚ
wa-mursaahaa!
and its anchorage
إِنَّ
ʹInna
Indeed
رَبِّي
Rabbee
my Lord
لَغَفُورٞ
la-G̣afoorur
(is) certainly Oft-Forgiving
رَّحِيمٞ
Raḥeem!
Most Merciful
٤١
11:42
وَهِيَ
Wa-hiya
And it
تَجۡرِي
tajree
sailed
بِهِمۡ
bihim
with them
فِي
fee
on
مَوۡجٖ
mawjiñ
the waves
كَٱلۡجِبَالِ
kaljibaal.
like mountains
وَنَادَىٰ
Wa-naadaa
and Nuh called out
نُوحٌ
Nooḥunib
and Nuh called out
ٱبۡنَهُۥ
nahoo
(to) his son
وَكَانَ
wa-kaana
and he was
فِي
fee
[in]
مَعۡزِلٖ
maʻziliñy
apart
يَٰبُنَيَّ
yaa-bunay
O my son
ٱرۡكَب
yarkam
Embark
مَّعَنَا
maʻanaa
with us
وَلَا
wa-laa
and (do) not
تَكُن
takum
be
مَّعَ
maʻal
with
ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ
Kaafireen!
the disbelievers
٤٢
11:43
قَالَ
Q̣aala
He said
سَـَٔاوِيٓ
saʹaaweee
I will betake myself
إِلَىٰ
ʹilaa
to
جَبَلٖ
jabaliñy
a mountain
يَعۡصِمُنِي
yaʻṣimunee
(that) will save me
مِنَ
minal
from
ٱلۡمَآءِۚ
maaaʹ.
the water
قَالَ
Q̣aala
He said
لَا
laa-
(There is) no
عَاصِمَ
ʻaaṣimal
protector
ٱلۡيَوۡمَ
yawma
today
مِنۡ
min
from
أَمۡرِ
ʹAmril
the Command of Allah
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
the Command of Allah
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
except
مَن
mar
(on) whom
رَّحِمَۚ
raḥim!
He has mercy
وَحَالَ
Waḥaala
And came
بَيۡنَهُمَا
baynahumal
(in) between them
ٱلۡمَوۡجُ
mawju
the waves
فَكَانَ
fakaana
so he was
مِنَ
minal
among
ٱلۡمُغۡرَقِينَ
mug̣raq̣een.
the drowned
٤٣
11:44
وَقِيلَ
Wa-q̣eela
And it was said
يَٰٓأَرۡضُ
yaaaʹarḍub
O earth
ٱبۡلَعِي
laʻee
Swallow
مَآءَكِ
maaaʹaki
your water
وَيَٰسَمَآءُ
wa-yaasamaaaʹu
and O sky
أَقۡلِعِي
ʹaq̣liʻee
Withhold
وَغِيضَ
wa-g̣eeḍal
And subsided
ٱلۡمَآءُ
maaaʹu
the water
وَقُضِيَ
wa-q̣uḍiyal
and was fulfilled
ٱلۡأَمۡرُ
ʹamru
the Command
وَٱسۡتَوَتۡ
wastawat
And it rested
عَلَى
ʻalal
on
ٱلۡجُودِيِّۖ
joodiyyi
the Judi
وَقِيلَ
wa-q̣eela
And it was said
بُعۡدٗا
buʻdal
Away
لِّلۡقَوۡمِ
lilq̣awmiz̤̣
with the people
ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
z̤̣aalimeen!
the wrongdoers
٤٤
11:45
وَنَادَىٰ
Wa-naadaa
And Nuh called
نُوحٞ
Nooḥur
And Nuh called
رَّبَّهُۥ
Rabbahoo
(to) his Lord
فَقَالَ
faq̣aala
and said
رَبِّ
Rabbi
O my Lord
إِنَّ
ʹinnab
Indeed
ٱبۡنِي
Nee
my son
مِنۡ
min
(is) of
أَهۡلِي
ʹahlee
my family
وَإِنَّ
wa-ʹinna
and indeed
وَعۡدَكَ
waʻdakal
Your promise
ٱلۡحَقُّ
ḥaq̣q̣u
(is) true
وَأَنتَ
wa-ʹAñta
and You
أَحۡكَمُ
ʹaḥkamul
(are) the Most Just
ٱلۡحَٰكِمِينَ
Ḥaakimeen!
(of) the judges
٤٥

قَالَ
Q̣aala
He said
يَٰنُوحُ
yaa-Nooḥu
O Nuh
إِنَّهُۥ
ʹinnahoo
Indeed he
لَيۡسَ
laysa
(is) not
مِنۡ
min
of
أَهۡلِكَۖ
ʹahlik:
your family
إِنَّهُۥ
ʹinnahoo
indeed [he]
عَمَلٌ
ʻamalun
(his) deed
غَيۡرُ
g̣ayru
(is) other than
صَٰلِحٖۖ
ṣaaliḥ.
righteous
فَلَا
Falaa
so (do) not
تَسۡـَٔلۡنِ
tasʹalni
ask Me
مَا
maa-
(about) what
لَيۡسَ
laysa
not
لَكَ
laka
you have
بِهِۦ
bihee
of it
عِلۡمٌۖ
ʻilm!
any knowledge
إِنِّيٓ
ʹInneee
Indeed I
أَعِظُكَ
ʹaʻiz̤̣uka
admonish you
أَن
ʹañ
lest
تَكُونَ
takoona
you be
مِنَ
minal
among
ٱلۡجَٰهِلِينَ
jaahileen!
the ignorant
٤٦
11:47
قَالَ
Q̣aala
He said
رَبِّ
Rabbi
O my Lord
إِنِّيٓ
ʹinneee
Indeed I
أَعُوذُ
ʹaʻooẓu
seek refuge
بِكَ
bika
in You
أَنۡ
ʹan
that
أَسۡـَٔلَكَ
ʹasʹalaka
I (should) ask You
مَا
maa-
what
لَيۡسَ
laysa
not
لِي
lee
I have
بِهِۦ
bihee
of it
عِلۡمٞۖ
ʻilm.
knowledge
وَإِلَّا
Wa-ʹillaa
And unless
تَغۡفِرۡ
tag̣fir
You forgive
لِي
lee
me
وَتَرۡحَمۡنِيٓ
wa-tarḥamnee
and You have mercy on me
أَكُن
ʹakum
I will be
مِّنَ
minal
among
ٱلۡخَٰسِرِينَ
khaasireen!
the losers
٤٧
11:48
قِيلَ
Q̣eela
It was said
يَٰنُوحُ
yaa-Nooḥuh
O Nuh
ٱهۡبِطۡ
biṭ
Go down
بِسَلَٰمٖ
bi-Salaamim
with peace
مِّنَّا
minnaa
from Us
وَبَرَكَٰتٍ
wa-Barakaatin
and blessings
عَلَيۡكَ
ʻalayka
on you
وَعَلَىٰٓ
wa-ʻalaaa
and on
أُمَمٖ
ʹUmamim
the nations
مِّمَّن
mimmam
from those
مَّعَكَۚ
maʻak:
with you
وَأُمَمٞ
wa-ʹumamuñ
But (to other) nations
سَنُمَتِّعُهُمۡ
sanumattiʻuhum
We will grant enjoyment
ثُمَّ
s̤umma
then
يَمَسُّهُم
yamassuhum
will touch them
مِّنَّا
minnaa
from Us
عَذَابٌ
ʻaẓaabun
a punishment
أَلِيمٞ
ʹaleem.
painful
٤٨
11:49
تِلۡكَ
Tilka
This
مِنۡ
min
(is) from
أَنۢبَآءِ
ʹambaaaʹil
the news
ٱلۡغَيۡبِ
g̣aybi
(of) the unseen
نُوحِيهَآ
nooḥeehaaa
(which) We reveal
إِلَيۡكَۖ
ʹilayk:
to you
مَا
maa-
Not
كُنتَ
kuñta
you were
تَعۡلَمُهَآ
taʻlamuhaaa
knowing it
أَنتَ
ʹañta
you
وَلَا
wa-laa
and not
قَوۡمُكَ
q̣awmuka
your people
مِن
miñ
from
قَبۡلِ
q̣abli
before
هَٰذَاۖ
haaẓaa.
this
فَٱصۡبِرۡۖ
Faṣbir
So be patient
إِنَّ
ʹinnal
indeed
ٱلۡعَٰقِبَةَ
ʻAaq̣ibata
the end
لِلۡمُتَّقِينَ
lil-Muttaq̣een.
(is) for the God fearing
٤٩
11:50
وَإِلَىٰ
Wa-ʹilaa
And to
عَادٍ
ʻAadin
Aad
أَخَاهُمۡ
ʹakhaahum
(We sent) their brother
هُودٗاۚ
Hoodaa.
Hud
قَالَ
Q̣aala
He said
يَٰقَوۡمِ
yaa-q̣awmiʻ
O my people
ٱعۡبُدُواْ
budul
Worship
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
مَا
maa-
not
لَكُم
lakum
(is) for you
مِّنۡ
min
any
إِلَٰهٍ
ʹilaahin
god
غَيۡرُهُۥٓۖ
g̣ayruh.
other than Him
إِنۡ
ʹIn
Not
أَنتُمۡ
ʹañtum
you
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
(are) but
مُفۡتَرُونَ
muftaroon!
inventors
