10:1الٓرۚʹAlif-Laaam-Raa.Alif Lam RaتِلۡكَTilkaTheseءَايَٰتُʹAayaatul(are the) versesٱلۡكِتَٰبِKitaabil(of) the BookٱلۡحَكِيمِḤakeem.the wise١
10:2أَكَانَʹAkaanaIs itلِلنَّاسِlinnaasifor the mankindعَجَبًاʻajabana wonderأَنۡʹanthatأَوۡحَيۡنَآʹawḥaynaaaWe revealedإِلَىٰʹilaatoرَجُلٖrajulima manمِّنۡهُمۡminhumfrom (among) themأَنۡʹanthatأَنذِرِʹañẓirinWarnٱلنَّاسَnaasathe mankindوَبَشِّرِwa-bashshiriland give glad tidingsٱلَّذِينَlaẓeena(to) those whoءَامَنُوٓاْʹaamanooobelieveأَنَّʹannathatلَهُمۡlahumfor themقَدَمَq̣adama(will be) a respectable positionصِدۡقٍṢidq̣in(will be) a respectable positionعِندَʻiñdanearرَبِّهِمۡۗRabbihim?their LordقَالَQ̣aalalSaidٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَKaafiroonathe disbelieversإِنَّʹinnaIndeedهَٰذَاhaaẓaathisلَسَٰحِرٞlasaaḥirum(is) surely a magicianمُّبِينٌmubeen!obvious٢
10:3إِنَّʹInnaIndeedرَبَّكُمُRabbakumulyour Lordٱللَّهُlaahul(is) Allahٱلَّذِيlaẓeethe One Whoخَلَقَkhalaq̣ascreatedٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِsamaawaatithe heavensوَٱلۡأَرۡضَwal-ʹarḍaand the earthفِيfeeinسِتَّةِsittatisixأَيَّامٖʹay-yaamiñperiodsثُمَّs̤ummasthenٱسۡتَوَىٰtawaaHe establishedعَلَىʻalalonٱلۡعَرۡشِۖʻArshithe Throneيُدَبِّرُyudabbiruldisposingٱلۡأَمۡرَۖʹamr.the affairsمَاMaa-Notمِنmiñ(is) any intercessorشَفِيعٍshafeeʻin(is) any intercessorإِلَّاʹillaaexceptمِنۢmimafterبَعۡدِbaʻdiafterإِذۡنِهِۦۚʹiẓnih.His permissionذَٰلِكُمُẒaalikumulThatٱللَّهُlaahu(is) AllahرَبُّكُمۡRabbukumyour Lordفَٱعۡبُدُوهُۚfaʻbudooh:so worship HimأَفَلَاʹafalaaThen will notتَذَكَّرُونَtaẓakkaroon?you remember٣
10:4إِلَيۡهِʹIlayhiTo Himمَرۡجِعُكُمۡmarjiʻukum(will be) your returnجَمِيعٗاۖjameeʻaa.[all]وَعۡدَWaʻdalPromiseٱللَّهِlaahi(of) Allahحَقًّاۚḥaq̣q̣aa.(is) trueإِنَّهُۥʹInnahooIndeed HeيَبۡدَؤُاْyabdaʹuloriginatesٱلۡخَلۡقَKhalq̣athe creationثُمَّs̤ummathenيُعِيدُهُۥyuʻeeduhooHe repeats itلِيَجۡزِيَliyajziyalthat He may rewardٱلَّذِينَlaẓeenathose whoءَامَنُواْʹaamanoobelievedوَعَمِلُواْwa-ʻamiluṣand didٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِṣaaliḥaatithe good deedsبِٱلۡقِسۡطِۚbilq̣isṭ;in justiceوَٱلَّذِينَwallaẓeenaBut those whoكَفَرُواْkafaroodisbelievedلَهُمۡlahumfor themشَرَابٞsharaabum(will be) a drinkمِّنۡminofحَمِيمٖḥameemiñwboiling fluidsوَعَذَابٌwaʻaẓaabunand a punishmentأَلِيمُۢʹaleemumpainfulبِمَاbimaabecauseكَانُواْkaanoothey used (to)يَكۡفُرُونَyakfuroon.disbelieve٤
10:5هُوَHuwalHeٱلَّذِيlaẓee(is) the One Whoجَعَلَjaʻalashmadeٱلشَّمۡسَshamsathe sunضِيَآءٗḍiyaaaʹañwa shining lightوَٱلۡقَمَرَwalq̣amaraand the moonنُورٗاnoorañwa reflected lightوَقَدَّرَهُۥwaq̣addarahooand determined for itمَنَازِلَmanaazilaphasesلِتَعۡلَمُواْlitaʻlamoothat you may knowعَدَدَʻadadas(the) numberٱلسِّنِينَsineena(of) the yearsوَٱلۡحِسَابَۚwalḥisaab.and the count (of time)مَاMaa-Notخَلَقَkhalaq̣alcreatedٱللَّهُlaahuAllahذَٰلِكَẓaalikathatإِلَّاʹillaaexceptبِٱلۡحَقِّۚbilḥaq̣q̣.in truthيُفَصِّلُYufaṣṣilulHe explainsٱلۡأٓيَٰتِʹAayaatithe Signsلِقَوۡمٖliq̣awmiñyfor a peopleيَعۡلَمُونَyaʻlamoon.(who) know٥
10:6إِنَّʹInnaIndeedفِيfikhinٱخۡتِلَٰفِtilaafil(the) alternationٱلَّيۡلِlayli(of) the nightوَٱلنَّهَارِwannahaariand the dayوَمَاwa-maaand whatخَلَقَkhalaq̣al(has been) createdٱللَّهُlaahu(by) Allahفِيfisinٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِsamaawaatithe heavensوَٱلۡأَرۡضِwal-ʹarḍiand the earthلَأٓيَٰتٖlaʹAayaatil(are) Signsلِّقَوۡمٖliq̣awmiñyfor a peopleيَتَّقُونَyattaq̣oon.who are God conscious٦
10:7إِنَّʹInnalIndeedٱلَّذِينَlaẓeenathose whoلَاlaa-(do) notيَرۡجُونَyarjoonaexpectلِقَآءَنَاliq̣aaaʹanaathe meeting with Usوَرَضُواْwa-raḍooand are pleasedبِٱلۡحَيَوٰةِbil-Ḥayaatidwith the lifeٱلدُّنۡيَاdunyaa(of) the worldوَٱطۡمَأَنُّواْwaṭmaʹannooand feel satisfiedبِهَاbihaawith itوَٱلَّذِينَwallaẓeenaand those هُمۡhumtheyعَنۡʻan(are) ofءَايَٰتِنَاʹAayaatinaaOur Signsغَٰفِلُونَg̣aafiloon,―heedless٧
10:8أُوْلَٰٓئِكَʹUlaaaʹikaThose مَأۡوَىٰهُمُmaʹwaahumuntheir abodeٱلنَّارُNaaru(will be) the Fireبِمَاbimaafor whatكَانُواْkaanoothey used (to)يَكۡسِبُونَyaksiboon.earn٨
10:9إِنَّʹInnalIndeedٱلَّذِينَlaẓeenathose whoءَامَنُواْʹaamanoobelievedوَعَمِلُواْwa-ʻamiluṣand didٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِṣaaliḥaatigood deedsيَهۡدِيهِمۡyahdeehim(will) guide themرَبُّهُمRabbuhum̃their Lordبِإِيمَٰنِهِمۡۖbiʹeemaanihim:by their faithتَجۡرِيtajreeWill flowمِنmiñfromتَحۡتِهِمُtaḥtihimulunderneath themٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُʹanhaaruthe riversفِيfeeinجَنَّٰتِJannaatinGardensٱلنَّعِيمِnaʻeem.(of) Delight٩
10:10دَعۡوَىٰهُمۡDaʻwaahumTheir prayerفِيهَاfeehaathereinسُبۡحَٰنَكَSubḥaanakal(will be) Glory be to YouٱللَّهُمَّlaahummaO Allahوَتَحِيَّتُهُمۡwa-taḥiyyatuhumAnd their greetingفِيهَاfeehaatherein (will be)سَلَٰمٞۚSalaam!PeaceوَءَاخِرُWa-ʹaakhiruAnd the lastدَعۡوَىٰهُمۡdaʻwaahum(of) their callأَنِʹanil(will be) [that]ٱلۡحَمۡدُḤamduAll the Praise beلِلَّهِlillaahito AllahرَبِّRabbilLordٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَʻaalameen!(of) the worlds١٠
10:11۞وَلَوۡWa-lawAnd ifيُعَجِّلُyuʻajjilulhastensٱللَّهُlaahu(by) Allahلِلنَّاسِlinnaasishfor the mankindٱلشَّرَّsharrathe evilٱسۡتِعۡجَالَهُمstiʻjaalahum̃(as) He hastens for themبِٱلۡخَيۡرِbil-khayrithe goodلَقُضِيَlaq̣uḍiyasurely would have been decreedإِلَيۡهِمۡʹilayhimfor themأَجَلُهُمۡۖʹajaluhum.their termفَنَذَرُFanaẓarulBut We leaveٱلَّذِينَlaẓeenathose whoلَاlaa-(do) notيَرۡجُونَyarjoonaexpectلِقَآءَنَاliq̣aaaʹanaathe meeting with Usفِيfeeinطُغۡيَٰنِهِمۡṭug̣yaanihimtheir transgressionيَعۡمَهُونَyaʻmahoon.wandering blindly١١
10:12وَإِذَاWa-ʹiẓaaAnd whenمَسَّmassaltouchesٱلۡإِنسَٰنَʹiñsaanaḍthe manٱلضُّرُّḍurruthe afflictionدَعَانَاdaʻaanaahe calls Usلِجَنۢبِهِۦٓlijambiheee(lying) on his sideأَوۡʹaworقَاعِدًاq̣aaʻidansittingأَوۡʹaworقَآئِمٗاq̣aaaʹimaa.standingفَلَمَّاFalammaaBut whenكَشَفۡنَاkashafnaaWe removeعَنۡهُʻanhufrom himضُرَّهُۥḍurrahoohis afflictionمَرَّmarrahe passes onكَأَنkaʹalas if heلَّمۡlam(had) notيَدۡعُنَآyadʻunaaacalled Usإِلَىٰʹilaaforضُرّٖḍurrim(the) afflictionمَّسَّهُۥۚmassah!(that) touched himكَذَٰلِكَKaẓaalikaThusزُيِّنَzuyyina(it) is made fair seemingلِلۡمُسۡرِفِينَlilmusrifeenato the extravagantمَاmaa-whatكَانُواْkaanoothey used (to)يَعۡمَلُونَyaʻmaloon!do١٢
10:13وَلَقَدۡWa-laq̣adAnd verilyأَهۡلَكۡنَاʹahlaknalWe destroyedٱلۡقُرُونَq̣uroonathe generationsمِنmiñbefore youقَبۡلِكُمۡq̣ablikumbefore youلَمَّاlammaawhenظَلَمُواْz̤̣alamoothey wrongedوَجَآءَتۡهُمۡwa-jaaaʹathumand came to themرُسُلُهُمrusuluhum̃their Messengersبِٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِbil-Bayyinaatiwith clear proofsوَمَاwa-maabut notكَانُواْkaanoothey wereلِيُؤۡمِنُواْۚliyuʹminoo!to believeكَذَٰلِكَkaẓaalikaThusنَجۡزِيnajzilWe recompenseٱلۡقَوۡمَq̣awmalthe peopleٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَmujrimeen!(who are) criminals١٣
10:14ثُمَّS̤ummaThenجَعَلۡنَٰكُمۡjaʻalnaakumWe made youخَلَٰٓئِفَkhalaaaʹifasuccessorsفِيfilinٱلۡأَرۡضِʹarḍithe earthمِنۢmimafter themبَعۡدِهِمۡbaʻdihimafter themلِنَنظُرَlinañz̤̣uraso that We may seeكَيۡفَkayfahowتَعۡمَلُونَtaʻmaloon!you do١٤
10:15وَإِذَاWa-ʹiẓaaAnd whenتُتۡلَىٰtutlaaare recitedعَلَيۡهِمۡʻalayhimto themءَايَاتُنَاʹAayaatunaaOur VersesبَيِّنَٰتٖBayyinaatiñ(as) clear proofsقَالَq̣aalalsaidٱلَّذِينَlaẓeenathose whoلَاlaa-(do) notيَرۡجُونَyarjoonahopeلِقَآءَنَاliq̣aaaʹanaʹ(for the) meeting (with) UsٱئۡتِtiBring usبِقُرۡءَانٍbi-Q̣urʹaanina Quranغَيۡرِg̣ayriother (than)هَٰذَآhaaẓaaathisأَوۡʹaworبَدِّلۡهُۚbaddilh.change itقُلۡQ̣ulSayمَاmaa-Notيَكُونُyakoonu(it) isلِيٓleeefor meأَنۡʹanthatأُبَدِّلَهُۥʹubaddilahooI change itمِنmiñofتِلۡقَآيِٕtilq̣aaaʹimy own accordنَفۡسِيٓۖnafsee:my own accordإِنۡʹinNotأَتَّبِعُʹattabiʻuI followإِلَّاʹillaaexceptمَاmaa-whatيُوحَىٰٓyooḥaaais revealedإِلَيَّۖʹilayy:to meإِنِّيٓʹinneeeIndeed Iأَخَافُʹakhaafu[I] fearإِنۡʹinifعَصَيۡتُʹaṣaytuI were to disobeyرَبِّيRabbeemy LordعَذَابَʻAẓaaba(the) punishmentيَوۡمٍYawmin(of) a DayعَظِيمٖʻAz̤̣eem.Great١٥
10:16قُلQ̣ulSayلَّوۡlawIfشَآءَshaaaʹal(had) willedٱللَّهُlaahuAllahمَاmaa-notتَلَوۡتُهُۥtalawtuhooI (would) have recited itعَلَيۡكُمۡʻalaykumto youوَلَآwa-laaaand notأَدۡرَىٰكُمʹadraakum̃He (would) have made it known to youبِهِۦۖbih.He (would) have made it known to youفَقَدۡFaq̣adVerilyلَبِثۡتُlabis̤tuI have stayedفِيكُمۡfeekumamong youعُمُرٗاʻumurama lifetimeمِّنmiñbefore itقَبۡلِهِۦٓۚq̣ablih:before itأَفَلَاʹafalaaThen will notتَعۡقِلُونَtaʻq̣iloon?you use reason١٦
10:17فَمَنۡFamanSo whoأَظۡلَمُʹaz̤̣lamu(is) more wrongمِمَّنِmimmanifthan he whoٱفۡتَرَىٰtaraainventsعَلَىʻalalagainstٱللَّهِlaahiAllahكَذِبًاkaẓibana lieأَوۡaworكَذَّبَkaẓẓabadeniesبِـَٔايَٰتِهِۦٓۚbiʹAayaatih.His SignsإِنَّهُۥʹInnahooIndeedلَاlaa-notيُفۡلِحُyufliḥulwill succeedٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَmujrimoon.the criminals١٧
10:18وَيَعۡبُدُونَWa-yaʻbudoonaAnd they worshipمِنmiñfromدُونِdoonilother thanٱللَّهِlaahiAllahمَاmaathat (which)لَاlaa-(does) notيَضُرُّهُمۡyaḍurruhumharm themوَلَاwa-laaand notيَنفَعُهُمۡyañfaʻuhumbenefit themوَيَقُولُونَwa-yaq̣ooloonaand they sayهَٰٓؤُلَآءِhaaaʹulaaaʹiTheseشُفَعَٰٓؤُنَاshufaʻaaaʹunaa(are) our intercessorsعِندَʻiñdalwithٱللَّهِۚlaah.AllahقُلۡQ̣ulSayأَتُنَبِّـُٔونَʹa-tunabbiʹoonalDo you informٱللَّهَlaahaAllahبِمَاbimaaof whatلَاlaa-notيَعۡلَمُyaʻlamuhe knowsفِيfisinٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِsamaawaatithe heavensوَلَاwa-laaand notفِيfilinٱلۡأَرۡضِۚʹarḍ?the earthسُبۡحَٰنَهُۥSubḥaanahooGlorified is Heوَتَعَٰلَىٰwa-Taʻaalaaand Exaltedعَمَّاʻammaaabove whatيُشۡرِكُونَyushrikoon!they associate (with Him)١٨
10:19وَمَاWa-maaAnd notكَانَkaananwasٱلنَّاسُnaasuthe mankindإِلَّآʹillaaabutأُمَّةٗʹummatañwa communityوَٰحِدَةٗwaaḥidatañoneفَٱخۡتَلَفُواْۚfakhtalafoo.then they differedوَلَوۡلَاWa-lawlaaAnd had (it) not beenكَلِمَةٞkalimatuña wordسَبَقَتۡsabaq̣at(that) precededمِنmirfromرَّبِّكَRabbikayour Lordلَقُضِيَlaq̣uḍiyasurely it (would) have been judgedبَيۡنَهُمۡbaynahumbetween themفِيمَاfee-maaconcerning whatفِيهِfeehi[therein]يَخۡتَلِفُونَyakhtalifoon.they differ١٩
10:20وَيَقُولُونَWa-yaq̣ooloonaAnd they sayلَوۡلَآLaw-laaaWhy notأُنزِلَʹuñzilais sent downعَلَيۡهِʻalayhito himءَايَةٞʹAayatuma SignمِّنmirfromرَّبِّهِۦۖRabbih?his LordفَقُلۡFaq̣ulSo sayإِنَّمَاʹinnamalOnlyٱلۡغَيۡبُG̣aybuthe unseenلِلَّهِlillaahi(is) for Allahفَٱنتَظِرُوٓاْfañtaz̤̣iroo:so waitإِنِّيʹinneeindeed I amمَعَكُمmaʻakumwith youمِّنَminalamongٱلۡمُنتَظِرِينَmuñtaz̤̣ireen.the ones who wait٢٠
10:21وَإِذَآWaʹiẓaaaAnd whenأَذَقۡنَاʹaẓaq̣nanWe let [the] mankind tasteٱلنَّاسَnaasaWe let [the] mankind tasteرَحۡمَةٗraḥmatammercyمِّنۢmimafterبَعۡدِbaʻdiafterضَرَّآءَḍarraaaʹaadversityمَسَّتۡهُمۡmassathumhas touched themإِذَاʹiẓaabeholdلَهُمlahumThey haveمَّكۡرٞmakruña plotفِيٓfeeeagainstءَايَاتِنَاۚʹAayaatinaa!Our VersesقُلِQ̣ulilSayٱللَّهُlaahuAllahأَسۡرَعُʹasraʻu(is) more swiftمَكۡرًاۚmakraa!(in) planningإِنَّʹInnaIndeedرُسُلَنَاrusulanaaOur Messengersيَكۡتُبُونَyaktuboonawrite downمَاmaa-whatتَمۡكُرُونَtamkuroon!you plot٢١
10:22هُوَHuwalHeٱلَّذِيlaẓee,(is) the One Whoيُسَيِّرُكُمۡyusayyirukumenables you to travelفِيfilinٱلۡبَرِّbarrithe landوَٱلۡبَحۡرِۖwalbaḥr;and the seaحَتَّىٰٓḥattaaauntilإِذَاʹiẓaawhenكُنتُمۡkuñtumyou areفِيfilinٱلۡفُلۡكِfulk;the shipsوَجَرَيۡنَwa-jaraynaand they sailبِهِمbihim̃with themبِرِيحٖbireeḥiñwith a windطَيِّبَةٖṭayyibatiñwgoodوَفَرِحُواْwafariḥooand they rejoiceبِهَاbihaathereinجَآءَتۡهَاjaaaʹathaacomes to itرِيحٌreeḥuna windعَاصِفٞʻaaṣifuñwstormyوَجَآءَهُمُWajaaaʹahumuland comes to themٱلۡمَوۡجُmawjuthe wavesمِنmiñfromكُلِّkullieveryمَكَانٖmakaaniñwplaceوَظَنُّوٓاْwaz̤̣annoooand they assumeأَنَّهُمۡʹannahumthat theyأُحِيطَʹuḥeeṭaare surroundedبِهِمۡbihimwith themدَعَوُاْdaʻaThey callٱللَّهَwullaahaAllahمُخۡلِصِينَmukhliṣeenasincerelyلَهُlahudto HimٱلدِّينَDeen:(in) the religionلَئِنۡlaʹin(saying) IfأَنجَيۡتَنَاʹañjaytanaaYou save usمِنۡminfromهَٰذِهِۦhaaẓiheethisلَنَكُونَنَّlanakoonannasurely we will beمِنَminashamongٱلشَّٰكِرِينَShaakireen!the thankful٢٢
10:23فَلَمَّآFalammaaaBut whenأَنجَىٰهُمۡʹañjaahumHe saved themإِذَاʹiẓaabeholdهُمۡhumTheyيَبۡغُونَyabg̣oonarebelفِيfilinٱلۡأَرۡضِʹarḍithe earthبِغَيۡرِbig̣ayrilwithoutٱلۡحَقِّۗḥaq̣q̣![the] rightيَٰٓأَيُّهَاYaaaʹayyuhanO mankindٱلنَّاسُnaasuO mankindإِنَّمَاʹinnamaaOnlyبَغۡيُكُمۡbag̣yukumyour rebellionعَلَىٰٓʻalaaa(is) againstأَنفُسِكُمۖʹañfusikumyourselvesمَّتَٰعَmataaʻal(the) enjoymentٱلۡحَيَوٰةِḤayaatid(of) the lifeٱلدُّنۡيَاۖdunyaa:(of) the worldثُمَّs̤ummaThenإِلَيۡنَاʹilaynaato Usمَرۡجِعُكُمۡmarjiʻukum(is) your returnفَنُنَبِّئُكُمfanunabbiʹukum̃and We will inform youبِمَاbimaaof whatكُنتُمۡkuñtumyou used (to)تَعۡمَلُونَtaʻmaloon.do٢٣
10:24إِنَّمَاʹInnamaaOnlyمَثَلُMas̤alul(the) exampleٱلۡحَيَوٰةِḤayaatid(of) the lifeٱلدُّنۡيَاdunyaa(of) the worldكَمَآءٍkamaaaʹin(is) like (the) waterأَنزَلۡنَٰهُʹañzalnaahuwhich We sent downمِنَminasfromٱلسَّمَآءِsamaaaʹithe skyفَٱخۡتَلَطَfakhtalaṭaso absorbsبِهِۦbihee[with] itنَبَاتُnabaatul(the) plantsٱلۡأَرۡضِʹarḍi(of) the earthمِمَّاmimmaafrom whichيَأۡكُلُyaʹkuluneatٱلنَّاسُnaasuthe menوَٱلۡأَنۡعَٰمُwal-ʹanʻaam:and the cattleحَتَّىٰٓḥattaaauntilإِذَآʹiẓaaawhenأَخَذَتِʹakhaẓatiltakesٱلۡأَرۡضُʹarḍuthe earthزُخۡرُفَهَاzukhrufahaaits adornmentوَٱزَّيَّنَتۡwazzayyanatand is beautifiedوَظَنَّwaz̤̣annaand thinkأَهۡلُهَآʹahluhaaaits peopleأَنَّهُمۡʹannahumthat theyقَٰدِرُونَq̣aadiroonahave the powerعَلَيۡهَآʻalayhaaaover itأَتَىٰهَآʹataahaaacomes (to) itأَمۡرُنَاʹamrunaaOur commandلَيۡلًاlaylan(by) nightأَوۡʹaworنَهَارٗاnahaarañ(by) dayفَجَعَلۡنَٰهَاfajaʻalnaahaaand We make itحَصِيدٗاḥaṣeedaña harvest clean-mownكَأَنkaʹalas ifلَّمۡlamnotتَغۡنَtag̣nait had flourishedبِٱلۡأَمۡسِۚbil-ʹams!yesterdayكَذَٰلِكَKaẓaalikaThusنُفَصِّلُnufaṣṣilulWe explainٱلۡأٓيَٰتِʹAayaatithe Signsلِقَوۡمٖliq̣awmiñyfor a peopleيَتَفَكَّرُونَyatafakkaroon.who reflect٢٤
10:25وَٱللَّهُWallaahuAnd AllahيَدۡعُوٓاْyadʻooocallsإِلَىٰʹilaatoدَارِDaaris(the) HomeٱلسَّلَٰمِSalaam:(of) the Peaceوَيَهۡدِيwa-yahdeeand guidesمَنmañywhomيَشَآءُyashaaaʹuHe willsإِلَىٰʹilaatoصِرَٰطٖṢiraaṭim(the) straight pathمُّسۡتَقِيمٖMustaq̣eem.(the) straight path٢٥
10:26۞لِّلَّذِينَLil-laẓeenaFor those whoأَحۡسَنُواْʹaḥsanuldo goodٱلۡحُسۡنَىٰḥusnaa(is) the bestوَزِيَادَةٞۖwa-ziyaadah!and moreوَلَاWa-laaAnd notيَرۡهَقُyarhaq̣u(will) coverوُجُوهَهُمۡwujoohahumtheir facesقَتَرٞq̣ataruñwdustوَلَاwalaaand notذِلَّةٌۚẓillah!humiliationأُوْلَٰٓئِكَʹUlaaaʹikaThoseأَصۡحَٰبُʹAṣḥaabul(are the) companionsٱلۡجَنَّةِۖJannah;(of) Paradiseهُمۡhumtheyفِيهَاfeehaain itخَٰلِدُونَkhaalidoon.(will) abide forever٢٦
10:27وَٱلَّذِينَWallaẓeenaAnd those whoكَسَبُواْkasabusearnedٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِsayyiʹaatithe evil deedsجَزَآءُjazaaaʹu(the) recompenseسَيِّئَةِۭsayyiʹatim(of) an evil deedبِمِثۡلِهَاbimis̤lihaa(is) like itوَتَرۡهَقُهُمۡwa-tarhaq̣uhumand (will) cover themذِلَّةٞۖẓillah:humiliationمَّاmaa-They will not haveلَهُمlahumThey will not haveمِّنَminalfromٱللَّهِlaahiAllahمِنۡminanyعَاصِمٖۖʻaaṣim:defenderكَأَنَّمَآKaʹannamaaaAs ifأُغۡشِيَتۡʹug̣shiyathad been coveredوُجُوهُهُمۡwujoohuhumtheir facesقِطَعٗاq̣iṭaʻam(with) piecesمِّنَminalfromٱلَّيۡلِlaylithe darkness (of) nightمُظۡلِمًاۚmuz̤̣limaa:the darkness (of) nightأُوْلَٰٓئِكَʹulaaaʹikaThoseأَصۡحَٰبُʹAṣḥaabun(are the) companionsٱلنَّارِۖNaari(of) the Fireهُمۡhumtheyفِيهَاfeehaain itخَٰلِدُونَkhaalidoon!(will) abide forever٢٧
10:28وَيَوۡمَWa-yawmaAnd (the) DayنَحۡشُرُهُمۡnaḥshuruhumWe will gather themجَمِيعٗاjameeʻañall togetherثُمَّs̤ummathenنَقُولُnaq̣ooluWe will sayلِلَّذِينَlil-laẓeenato those whoأَشۡرَكُواْʹashrakooassociate partners (with Allah)مَكَانَكُمۡmakaanakum(Remain in) your placeأَنتُمۡʹañtumyouوَشُرَكَآؤُكُمۡۚwa-shurakaaʹukum.and your partnersفَزَيَّلۡنَاFazayyalnaaThen We will separateبَيۡنَهُمۡۖbaynahum[between] themوَقَالَwa-q̣aalaand (will) sayشُرَكَآؤُهُمshurakaaaʹuhumtheir partnersمَّاmaaNotكُنتُمۡkuñtumyou used (to)إِيَّانَاʹiyyaanaaworship usتَعۡبُدُونَtaʻbudoon!worship us٢٨
10:29فَكَفَىٰFakafaaSo sufficientبِٱللَّهِbillaahi(is) Allahشَهِيدَۢاshaheedam(as) a witnessبَيۡنَنَاbaynanaabetween usوَبَيۡنَكُمۡwa-baynakumand between youإِنʹiñthatكُنَّاkunnaawe wereعَنۡʻanofعِبَادَتِكُمۡʻibaadatikumyour worshipلَغَٰفِلِينَlag̣aafileen!certainly unaware٢٩
10:30هُنَالِكَHunaalikaThereتَبۡلُواْtabloowill be put to trialكُلُّkullueveryنَفۡسٖnafsimsoulمَّآmaaa(for) whatأَسۡلَفَتۡۚʹaslafatit did previouslyوَرُدُّوٓاْwa-ruddoooand they will be returnedإِلَىʹilaltoٱللَّهِlaahiAllahمَوۡلَىٰهُمُMawlaahumultheir LordٱلۡحَقِّۖḤaq̣q̣ithe trueوَضَلَّwa-ḍallaand will be lostعَنۡهُمʻanhumfrom themمَّاmaawhatكَانُواْkanoothey used (to)يَفۡتَرُونَyaftaroon.invent٣٠
10:31قُلۡQ̣ulSayمَنmañyWhoيَرۡزُقُكُمyarzuq̣ukumprovides for youمِّنَminasfromٱلسَّمَآءِsamaaaʹithe skyوَٱلۡأَرۡضِwal-ʹarḍiand the earthأَمَّنʹammañyOr whoيَمۡلِكُyamlikuscontrolsٱلسَّمۡعَsamʻathe hearingوَٱلۡأَبۡصَٰرَwal-ʹabṣaaraand the sightوَمَنwa-mañyAnd whoيُخۡرِجُyukhrijulbrings outٱلۡحَيَّḥayyathe livingمِنَminalfromٱلۡمَيِّتِmayyitithe deadوَيُخۡرِجُwa-yukhrijuland brings forthٱلۡمَيِّتَmayyitathe deadمِنَminalfromٱلۡحَيِّḥayyithe livingوَمَنwa-mañyAnd whoيُدَبِّرُyudabbiruldisposesٱلۡأَمۡرَۚʹamr?the affairsفَسَيَقُولُونَFasayaq̣ooloonalThen they will sayٱللَّهُۚlaah.Allahفَقُلۡfaq̣ulThen sayأَفَلَاʹafalaaThen will notتَتَّقُونَtattaq̣oon?you fear (Him)٣١
10:32فَذَٰلِكُمُFaẓaalikumulFor thatٱللَّهُlaahu(is) AllahرَبُّكُمُRabbukumulyour LordٱلۡحَقُّۖḤaq̣q̣:the trueفَمَاذَاfamaaẓaaSo what (can be)بَعۡدَbaʻdalafterٱلۡحَقِّḤaq̣q̣ithe truthإِلَّاʹillaḍexceptٱلضَّلَٰلُۖḍalaal?the errorفَأَنَّىٰFaʹannaaSo howتُصۡرَفُونَtuṣrafoon?(are) you turned away٣٢
10:33كَذَٰلِكَKaẓaalikaThusحَقَّتۡḥaq̣q̣at(is) proved trueكَلِمَتُKalimatu(the) WordرَبِّكَRabbika(of) your Lordعَلَىʻalaluponٱلَّذِينَlaẓeenathose whoفَسَقُوٓاْfasaq̣ooodefiantly disobeyedأَنَّهُمۡʹannahumthat theyلَاlaa-(will) notيُؤۡمِنُونَyuʹminoon.believe٣٣
10:34قُلۡQ̣ulSayهَلۡhalIs (there)مِنmiñofشُرَكَآئِكُمshurakaaaʹikumyour partnersمَّنmañy(any) whoيَبۡدَؤُاْyabdaʹuloriginatesٱلۡخَلۡقَkhalq̣athe creationثُمَّs̤ummathenيُعِيدُهُۥۚyuʻeeduh?repeats itقُلِQ̣ulilSayٱللَّهُlaahuAllahيَبۡدَؤُاْyabdaʹuloriginatesٱلۡخَلۡقَkhalq̣athe creationثُمَّs̤ummathenيُعِيدُهُۥۖyuʻeeduhoorepeats itفَأَنَّىٰfaʹannaaSo howتُؤۡفَكُونَtuʹfakoon?you are deluded٣٤
10:35قُلۡQ̣ulSayهَلۡhalIs (there)مِنmiñofشُرَكَآئِكُمshurakaaaʹikumyour partnersمَّنmañy(any) whoيَهۡدِيٓyahdeeeguidesإِلَىʹilaltoٱلۡحَقِّۚḤaq̣q̣?the truthقُلِQ̣ulilSayٱللَّهُlaahuAllahيَهۡدِيyahdeeguidesلِلۡحَقِّۗlil-Ḥaq̣q̣.to the truthأَفَمَنʹAfamañyIs then (he) whoيَهۡدِيٓyahdeeeguidesإِلَىʹilaltoٱلۡحَقِّḤaq̣q̣ithe truthأَحَقُّʹaḥaq̣q̣umore worthyأَنʹañythatيُتَّبَعَyuttabaʻahe should be followedأَمَّنʹammalor (he) whoلَّاlaa(does) notيَهِدِّيٓyahiddeeeguideإِلَّآʹillaaaunlessأَنʹañy[that]يُهۡدَىٰۖyuhdaa?he is guidedفَمَاFamaaThen whatلَكُمۡlakum?(is) for youكَيۡفَKayfahowتَحۡكُمُونَtaḥkumoon?you judge٣٥
10:36وَمَاWa-maaAnd notيَتَّبِعُyattabiʻufollowأَكۡثَرُهُمۡʹaks̤aruhummost of themإِلَّاʹillaaexceptظَنًّاۚz̤̣annaa:assumptionإِنَّʹinnaz̤̣Indeedٱلظَّنَّz̤̣annathe assumptionلَاlaa-(does) notيُغۡنِيyug̣neeavailمِنَminalagainstٱلۡحَقِّḤaq̣q̣ithe truthشَيۡـًٔاۚshayʹaa.anythingإِنَّʹInnalIndeedٱللَّهَlaahaAllahعَلِيمُۢʻAleemum(is) All-Knowerبِمَاbimaaof whatيَفۡعَلُونَyafʻaloon.they do٣٦
10:37وَمَاWa-maaAnd notكَانَkaanaisهَٰذَاhaaẓalthisٱلۡقُرۡءَانُQ̣urʹaanuthe Quranأَنʹañythatيُفۡتَرَىٰyuftaraa(it could be) producedمِنmiñbyدُونِdoonilother than Allahٱللَّهِlaahiother than Allahوَلَٰكِنwa-laakiñbutتَصۡدِيقَtaṣdeeq̣al(it is) a confirmationٱلَّذِيlaẓee(of that) whichبَيۡنَbayna(was) before itيَدَيۡهِyadayhi(was) before itوَتَفۡصِيلَwa-tafṣeelaland a detailed explanationٱلۡكِتَٰبِKitaabi(of) the Bookلَاlaa-(there is) noرَيۡبَraybadoubtفِيهِfeehiin itمِنmirfromرَّبِّRabbil(the) LordٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَʻAalameen.(of) the worlds٣٧
10:38أَمۡʹAmOrيَقُولُونَyaq̣ooloonaf(do) they sayٱفۡتَرَىٰهُۖtaraah?He has invented itقُلۡQ̣ulSayفَأۡتُواْfaʹtooThen bringبِسُورَةٖbisooratima Surahمِّثۡلِهِۦmis̤liheelike itوَٱدۡعُواْwadʻooand callمَنِmaniswhoeverٱسۡتَطَعۡتُمtaṭaʻtumyou canمِّنmiñbesides Allahدُونِdoonilbesides Allahٱللَّهِlaahibesides Allahإِنʹiñifكُنتُمۡkuñtumyou areصَٰدِقِينَṢaadiq̣een!.truthful٣٨
10:39بَلۡBalNayكَذَّبُواْkaẓẓaboothey deniedبِمَاbimaawhatلَمۡlamnotيُحِيطُواْyuḥeeṭoothey could encompassبِعِلۡمِهِۦbiʻilmihee(of) its knowledgeوَلَمَّاwa-lammaaand notيَأۡتِهِمۡyaʹtihimhas come (to) themتَأۡوِيلُهُۥۚtaʹweeluh:its interpretationكَذَٰلِكَKaẓaalikaThusكَذَّبَkaẓẓabaldeniedٱلَّذِينَlaẓeenathoseمِنmiñbefore themقَبۡلِهِمۡۖq̣ablihimbefore themفَٱنظُرۡfañz̤̣urthen seeكَيۡفَkayfahowكَانَkaanawasعَٰقِبَةُʻaaq̣ibatuz̤̣(the) endٱلظَّٰلِمِينَz̤̣aalimeen!(of) the wrongdoers٣٩
10:40وَمِنۡهُمWa-minhumAnd of themمَّنmañy(is one) whoيُؤۡمِنُyuʹminubelievesبِهِۦbiheein itوَمِنۡهُمwa-minhumand of themمَّنmal(is one) whoلَّاlaa(does) notيُؤۡمِنُyuʹminubelieveبِهِۦۚbih:in itوَرَبُّكَwa-RabbukaAnd your Lordأَعۡلَمُʹaʻlamu(is) All-Knowerبِٱلۡمُفۡسِدِينَbilmufsideen.of the corrupters٤٠
10:41وَإِنWa-ʹiñAnd ifكَذَّبُوكَkaẓẓabookathey deny youفَقُلfaq̣ulthen sayلِّيleeFor meعَمَلِيʻamalee(are) my deedsوَلَكُمۡwa-lakumand for youعَمَلُكُمۡۖʻamalukum!(are) your deedsأَنتُمʹAñtum̃Youبَرِيٓـُٔونَbareeeʹoona(are) disassociatedمِمَّآmimmaaafrom whatأَعۡمَلُʹaʻmaluI doوَأَنَا۠wa-ʹanaand I amبَرِيٓءٞbareeeʹumdisassociatedمِّمَّاmimmaafrom whatتَعۡمَلُونَtaʻmaloon!you do٤١
10:42وَمِنۡهُمWa-minhumAnd among themمَّنmañy(are some) whoيَسۡتَمِعُونَyastamiʻoonalistenإِلَيۡكَۚʹilayk:to youأَفَأَنتَʹa-faʹañtaBut (can) youتُسۡمِعُtusmiʻuṣcause the deaf to hearٱلصُّمَّṣummacause the deaf to hearوَلَوۡwa-laweven thoughكَانُواْkaanoothey [were]لَاlaa-(do) notيَعۡقِلُونَyaʻq̣iloon?use reason٤٢
10:43وَمِنۡهُمWa-minhumAnd among themمَّنmañy(are some) whoيَنظُرُyañz̤̣urulookإِلَيۡكَۚʹilayk:at youأَفَأَنتَʹa-faʹantaBut (can) youتَهۡدِيtahdilguideٱلۡعُمۡيَʻumyathe blindوَلَوۡwa-laweven thoughكَانُواْkaanoothey [were]لَاlaa-(do) notيُبۡصِرُونَyubṣiroon?see٤٣
10:44إِنَّʹInnalIndeedٱللَّهَlaahaAllahلَاla(does) notيَظۡلِمُyaz̤̣limunwrongٱلنَّاسَnaasathe peopleشَيۡـٔٗاshayʹañw(in) anythingوَلَٰكِنَّwalaakinbutٱلنَّاسَnannaasathe peopleأَنفُسَهُمۡʹañfusahumwrong themselvesيَظۡلِمُونَyaz̤̣limoon.wrong themselves٤٤
10:45وَيَوۡمَWa-yawmaAnd the DayيَحۡشُرُهُمۡyaḥshuruhumHe will gather themكَأَنkaʹalas ifلَّمۡlamthey had not remainedيَلۡبَثُوٓاْyalbas̤ooothey had not remainedإِلَّاʹillaaexceptسَاعَةٗsaaʻataman hourمِّنَminanofٱلنَّهَارِnahaarithe dayيَتَعَارَفُونَyataʻaarafoonathey will recognize each otherبَيۡنَهُمۡۚbaynahum.between themقَدۡQ̣adCertainlyخَسِرَkhasiral(will have) lostٱلَّذِينَlaẓeenathose whoكَذَّبُواْkaẓẓaboodeniedبِلِقَآءِbiliq̣aaaʹilthe meetingٱللَّهِlaahi(with) Allahوَمَاwa-maaand notكَانُواْkaanoothey wereمُهۡتَدِينَmuhtadeen.the guided ones٤٥
10:46وَإِمَّاWa-ʹimmaaAnd whetherنُرِيَنَّكَnuriyannakaWe show youبَعۡضَbaʻḍalsomeٱلَّذِيlaẓee(of) that whichنَعِدُهُمۡnaʻiduhumWe promised themأَوۡʹaworنَتَوَفَّيَنَّكَnatawaffayannakaWe cause you to dieفَإِلَيۡنَاfaʹilaynaathen to Usمَرۡجِعُهُمۡmarjiʻuhum(is) their returnثُمَّs̤ummalthenٱللَّهُlaahuAllahشَهِيدٌshaheedun(is) a Witnessعَلَىٰʻalaaoverمَاmaa-whatيَفۡعَلُونَyafʻaloon.they do٤٦
10:47وَلِكُلِّWa-likulliAnd for everyأُمَّةٖʹummatirnationرَّسُولٞۖRasool:(is) a MessengerفَإِذَاfaʹiẓaaSo whenجَآءَjaaaʹacomesرَسُولُهُمۡRasooluhumtheir Messengerقُضِيَq̣uḍiyait will be judgedبَيۡنَهُمbaynahum̃between themبِٱلۡقِسۡطِbilq̣isṭiin justiceوَهُمۡwa-humand theyلَاlaa-(will) notيُظۡلَمُونَyuz̤̣lamoon.be wronged٤٧
10:48وَيَقُولُونَWa-yaq̣ooloonaAnd they sayمَتَىٰmataaWhenهَٰذَاhaaẓal(will) thisٱلۡوَعۡدُwaʻduthe promise (be fulfilled)إِنʹiñifكُنتُمۡkuñtumyou areصَٰدِقِينَṣaadiq̣een.truthful٤٨
10:49قُلQ̣ulSayلَّآlaaaNotأَمۡلِكُʹamlikuI have powerلِنَفۡسِيlinafseefor myselfضَرّٗاḍarrañw(for) any harmوَلَاwalaaand notنَفۡعًاnafʻan(for) any profitإِلَّاʹillaaexceptمَاmaa-whatشَآءَshaaaʹalAllah willsٱللَّهُۗlaah.Allah willsلِكُلِّLikulliFor everyأُمَّةٍʹUmmatinnationأَجَلٌۚʹajal:(is) a termإِذَاʹiẓaaWhenجَآءَjaaaʹacomesأَجَلُهُمۡʹajaluhumtheir termفَلَاfalaathen notيَسۡتَـٔۡخِرُونَyastaʹkhiroonathey remain behindسَاعَةٗsaaʻatañwan hourوَلَاwalaaand notيَسۡتَقۡدِمُونَyastaq̣dimoon.they can precede (it)٤٩
10:50قُلۡQ̣ulSayأَرَءَيۡتُمۡʹaraʹaytumDo you seeإِنۡʹinifأَتَىٰكُمۡʹataakumcomes to youعَذَابُهُۥʻaẓaabuhooHis punishmentبَيَٰتًاbayaatan(by) nightأَوۡʹaworنَهَارٗاnahaaram(by) dayمَّاذَاmaaẓaawhat (portion)يَسۡتَعۡجِلُyastaʻjiluof it would (wish to) hastenمِنۡهُminhulof it would (wish to) hastenٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَmujrimoon.the criminals٥٠
