85:4قُتِلَQ̣utilaDestroyed wereأَصۡحَٰبُʹaṣḥaabul(the) companionsٱلۡأُخۡدُودِʹukhdood,―(of) the pit٤
85:7وَهُمۡWa-humAnd theyعَلَىٰʻalaaoverمَاmaa-whatيَفۡعَلُونَyafʻaloonathey were doingبِٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَbilmuʹmineenato the believersشُهُودٞshuhood.witnesses٧
85:8وَمَاWa-maaAnd notنَقَمُواْnaq̣amoothey resentedمِنۡهُمۡminhum[of] themإِلَّآʹillaaaexceptأَنʹañythatيُؤۡمِنُواْyuʹminoothey believedبِٱللَّهِbillaahilin AllahٱلۡعَزِيزِʻAzeezilthe All-MightyٱلۡحَمِيدِḤameed,―the Praiseworthy٨
85:9ٱلَّذِيʹAllaẓeeThe One Whoلَهُۥlahoofor Himمُلۡكُmulkus(is) the dominionٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِsamaawaati(of) the heavensوَٱلۡأَرۡضِۚwal-ʹarḍ:and the earthوَٱللَّهُWallaahuand AllahعَلَىٰʻalaaonكُلِّkullieveryشَيۡءٖshayʹiñthingشَهِيدٌShaheed.(is) a Witness٩
85:10إِنَّʹInnalIndeedٱلَّذِينَlaẓeenathose whoفَتَنُواْfatanulpersecutedٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَMuʹmineenathe believing menوَٱلۡمُؤۡمِنَٰتِwal-muʹminaatiand the believing womenثُمَّs̤ummathenلَمۡlamnotيَتُوبُواْyatooboothey repentedفَلَهُمۡfalahumthen for themعَذَابُʻaẓaabu(is the) punishmentجَهَنَّمَJahannama(of) Hellوَلَهُمۡwa-lahumand for themعَذَابُʻAẓaabul(is the) punishmentٱلۡحَرِيقِḥareeq̣.(of) the Burning Fire١٠
85:11إِنَّʹInnalIndeedٱلَّذِينَlaẓeenathose whoءَامَنُواْʹaamanoobelieveوَعَمِلُواْwa-ʻamiluṣand doٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِṣaaliḥaatithe righteous deedsلَهُمۡlahumfor themجَنَّٰتٞJannaatuñ(will be) Gardensتَجۡرِيtajreeflowمِنmiñfromتَحۡتِهَاtaḥtihalunderneath itٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُۚʹanhaar:the riversذَٰلِكَẓaalikalThatٱلۡفَوۡزُFawzul(is) the successٱلۡكَبِيرُkabeer.the great١١
85:12إِنَّʹInnaIndeedبَطۡشَBaṭsha(the) GripرَبِّكَRabbika(of) your Lordلَشَدِيدٌlashadeed.(is) surely strong١٢
85:17هَلۡHalHasأَتَىٰكَʹataakacome to youحَدِيثُḥadees̤ul(the) storyٱلۡجُنُودِJunood―(of) the hosts١٧
85:19بَلِBalilNayٱلَّذِينَlaẓeenaThose whoكَفَرُواْkafaroodisbelieveفِيfee(are) inتَكۡذِيبٖtakẓeeb!denial١٩
85:20وَٱللَّهُWallaahuBut Allahمِنmiñwfromوَرَآئِهِمwaraaaʹihimbehind themمُّحِيطُۢMuḥeeṭ!encompasses٢٠
